Abstract

This research focuses on the role of Social-Emotional Learning (SEL) in improving students' mental well-being and academic performance. The main objective of this study is to understand how the implementation of Social-Emotional Learning programs can affect students' emotional states and educational outcomes. Evaluate the extent to which the Social-Emotional Learning program can help students manage stress, anxiety, and depression, and improve academic performance. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation and in-depth interviews with the head of madrasah, teachers, curriculum deputy head, student guardians, and students. Data analysis was done thematically to identify the main themes related to the effects of the Social-Emotional Learning program. The results showed that the Social-Emotional Learning program significantly improved students' mental well-being, which had a positive impact on motivation, learning focus, and academic achievement. In addition, students involved in Social-Emotional Learning programs can better recognize and manage emotions, which can reduce stress and anxiety levels. The implications of this study emphasize the importance of integrating Social-Emotional Learning programs into the education curriculum to create a more inclusive learning environment that supports student development and achieves holistic and comprehensive education outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the role of the Islamic Religious Education (PAI) curriculum in shaping students' morals and ethics in Junior High Schools (SMP). The background of this study focuses on the importance of integrating religious values in education for the development of students' character amidst the challenges of globalization and social change. The research method used is a qualitative approach with in-depth interview techniques and curriculum document analysis. The results of the study indicate that the PAI curriculum significantly contributes to the formation of students' morals and ethics, with the integration of moral values in each PAI subject strengthening positive behavior and building students' character. The main contribution of this finding is to provide a basis for the development of a more effective PAI curriculum in facilitating the development of students' character and offering guidance for policy makers and educators in improving the quality of religious education in schools.

Abstract

Globalization brings significant changes in various aspects of life, including education. In schools, Islamic Religious Education faces substantial challenges in the face of current globalization, which often affects local cultural values and identity. This journal aims to analyze how Islamic Religious Education can adapt and respond to the challenges of globalization in schools. This research uses a qualitative approach with literature study methods and in-depth interviews with educators and educational practitioners. The results of the analysis show that P.A.I. in schools needs to integrate global values while maintaining the basic principles of Islamic teachings. The proposed strategy includes adjusting the curriculum to include international issues with an Islamic perspective, training educators to face global challenges, and developing relevant learning media. It is hoped that these findings can guide the development of educational policies and practices that are more responsive to the challenges of globalization while still maintaining the integrity of Islamic values.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) teacher training on the quality of learning in schools. Using a mixed approach that combines quantitative and qualitative methods, this study explores how training affects teachers' pedagogical competence, motivation, and self-confidence, as well as their impact on learning processes and outcomes. Data were collected through questionnaires filled out by PAI teachers, in-depth interviews with principals and vice principals, and classroom observations. Quantitative analysis identified changes in teachers' perceptions of their competence and motivation, while qualitative analysis provided insights into training experiences and institutional support. The study findings indicate that PAI teacher training significantly improved teachers' pedagogical competence and motivation, which contributed to more effective teaching and more positive interactions with students. In addition, institutional support and consistent implementation of training outcomes also played an important role in the success of the training. This study provides recommendations for improving teacher training programs to make them more impactful and sustainable, and suggests the implementation of best practices in training to improve the quality of PAI learning in schools.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the development of humanistic multicultural education within the framework of Islamic Religious Education (PAI) at Junior high school, focusing on its role in fostering a culture of tolerance among students. Given the increasing importance of multicultural values in diverse educational settings, this research addresses the integration of these values in PAI learning. Employing a qualitative research method with a purposive sampling approach, the study examines the alignment of educational objectives, materials, methods, and evaluation as outlined in the syllabus. The findings reveal that humanistic multicultural values are effectively integrated into PAI, contributing to the promotion of tolerance through both curriculum content and the exemplary behavior of PAI and other subject teachers. This research provides insights into how Islamic Religious Education can be a vital tool in cultivating a tolerant and inclusive school environment.
