Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education learning using the Project Based Learning Model. This study is a classroom action research that uses four steps, namely planning, action, observation and reflection. The subjects of this study were elementary school students. The data for this study were obtained using test and observation techniques. Tests are used to measure learning outcomes and observations are used to analyze teacher and student learning activities. The data analysis technique used in this study is descriptive statistics by comparing the results obtained with indicators of research success. The results of the study indicate that the Project Based Learning Model can improve student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education learning. This can be seen from the increase in the percentage of student learning completion in each cycle with details of the pre-cycle 48.71%, the first cycle 66.39% and in the second cycle it increased to 89.66%. Thus, the use of the Project Based Learning Model can be used as an alternative to improve student learning outcomes in Islamic religious education learning.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of the peer tutoring approach in improving student learning outcomes and motivation in Islamic Education learning at SD Negeri Lapahan Buaya. This study used a quasi-experimental design, involving an experimental group that participated in peer tutoring sessions and a control group that participated in traditional lecture-based teaching methods. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test, student motivation survey, classroom observation, and student feedback. The results showed a significant increase in learning outcomes, where students in the experimental group showed better ability in remembering and applying Islamic teachings compared to the control group. In addition, the peer tutoring approach also had a positive effect on student motivation, as seen from increased participation, enthusiasm, and self-confidence in learning. Students expressed a preference for peer tutoring sessions, citing clearer explanations and more engaging learning experiences. These findings suggest that peer tutoring is an effective method in improving student learning outcomes and engagement in Islamic Education. Abstract

In the learning process there are many learning methods that can be used by teachers, but not all learning models are suitable for all teaching materials. For this reason, teachers are required to be able to choose a learning model that is relevant to the learning material, one of the learning methods that can be used by teachers in the learning process is the Index Card Match method. The expected objectives of this study are to determine the activities of students and teachers and to determine the improvement in learning outcomes of class II students of Anoe Puteh Elementary School in Islamic Religious Education learning on the material of emulating the noble qualities of Asmaul Husna. This research was conducted using a Classroom Action Research approach, the subjects in this study were class II students of Leukuen Elementary School in the 2022/2023 academic year. This study consists of two cycles, each cycle consists of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. Data collection techniques use observation and test techniques. For data processing using qualitative descriptive analysis techniques. The results of cycle 1 learning activities show that the level of student learning completion is only 63.16% with an average class score of 71.05%, student activity is only 60% and teacher activity is 61.36%. The results show that not all students have scored above the KKM. Therefore, the classroom action research was continued in cycle 2. The level of student learning completion in cycle 2 increased to 84.21%, as well as student activity increased to 85% and teacher activity 86.36% with an average class score of 80. Thus, learning using the Index Card Match method in learning the material of emulating the noble nature of Asmaul Hunsa can be said to be successful. And the author assumes that this research does not need to be continued to cycle 3, because the learning outcomes of cycle 2 have met the Minimum Completion Criteria target that has been set previously.

Abstract

This classroom action research is entitled "Improving Learning Activities on the Material of the Prophet's Hijrah to Medina Through the Problem Based Learning Model for Grade IV Students of Rantau Gedang Elementary School in the 2024/2025 Academic Year" based on the title the author wants to use the problem based learning model in learning Islamic Religious Education at Rantau Gedang Elementary School grade IV, because with this PBL model it is hoped that students will be more active and enthusiastic in the learning process of Islamic Religious Education on the material of the Prophet's hijrah to Medina, in learning before using this problem based learning students were still less active and learning outcomes did not improve. The type of research used in this study is classroom action research, namely using cycles, cycle I and cycle II, the aim is to be able to find the stages of success or completeness of student learning. From the results of the study the author found the success of the learning objective completion criteria. At the stage of cycle I it was still below the standard, the percentage of student learning outcomes was only 53%, 8 out of 15 students achieved the minimum completeness criteria, then in cycle II it had reached above the standard, the percentage of student learning outcomes reached 93%. Thus, the minimum expected completion criteria have been achieved in the learning of Islamic Religious Education on the material of the Prophet's Hijrah to Medina in class IV of Rantau Gedang State Elementary School, Singkil District, Aceh Singkil Regency.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the impact of the Discovery Learning model in improving students' academic achievement and motivation in Islamic Education learning at SDN 7 Kuala Batee. The research design used was a quasi-experimental study, with two groups of 5th grade students, namely the experimental group who received learning using the Discovery Learning model and the control group who continued with traditional lecture-based learning. This study used pre- and post-assessments, classroom observations, and student surveys to measure academic achievement, engagement, and motivation. The results showed that students in the experimental group experienced significant improvements in their ability to remember and apply Islamic teachings, especially in real-life situations. In addition, students in the experimental group were more engaged and reported higher levels of motivation compared to the control group. These findings suggest that Discovery Learning encourages active participation, critical thinking, and collaborative problem solving, which results in a deeper understanding of the material. Although there were some challenges, such as time management and ensuring equal participation from all students, the overall results indicate that the Discovery Learning model is effective in improving student learning outcomes and motivation. Based on these findings, it is recommended that the Discovery Learning model be implemented and expanded in the curriculum to create a more interactive and student-centered learning environment. This study highlights the importance of active learning methods in improving student engagement and academic achievement. The results of the study also show that Discovery Learning can be useful in other subjects and different educational contexts, paving the way for further research into its wider application and long-term impact.

Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of using multimedia flashcards in improving letter recognition skills in students at RA Darul Ulum. This study compared two groups of students: an experimental group using multimedia flashcards and a control group using traditional teaching methods. The results showed that the use of multimedia flashcards significantly improved students' ability to recognize letters and associate them with letter sounds. The experimental group showed a more significant improvement compared to the control group in terms of letter recognition and phonemic understanding. In addition, multimedia flashcards also increased student engagement and motivation. Students in the experimental group were more active in participating in learning and were more interested in the material being taught. The results of the motivation survey showed that students who used multimedia flashcards enjoyed learning more, because of the interesting interactive features, such as pictures and sounds that accompany the letters. However, this study also found several challenges, such as limited access to technology for some students and the relatively short duration of the intervention. Nevertheless, the results showed that multimedia flashcards were very effective in improving letter recognition skills and could be used as a useful method in elementary education learning. This study suggests that RA Darul Ulum continue to integrate the use of multimedia flashcards into the early childhood education curriculum to support the development of students' literacy skills.
