Indonesian Journal of Agriculture and Environmental Analytics (IJAEA) is a scientific, peer-reviewed, open-access journal that encompasses multi-disciplinary subjects in agriculture, informatics, and environmental sciences. IJAEA discusses the interactions among the components of agricultural and environmental systems. The Journal is maintained by a panel of experts and experienced Editors. Articles submitted to IJAEA mainly include substantive natural and plant science content especially farm or landscape-level combined with social sciences and substantive analysis and discussion of the environment and higher-end science within agricultural systems.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the production of shallots in Indonesia in the last 30 years to the next 30 years, and to analyze why the production of shallots in Indonesia cannot reach production levels as in China, India, the United States and Egypt. The secondary data used is time series data, namely the production of shallots in the last 30 years (1991-2020) using the trend analysis method, shallot production data for the period 1991 – 2020 will be used to predict shallot production for the next 30 years, namely 2021 -2050. The results, Indonesia shallot production in 2021 is 2,615,677, in 2050 it is 4,189,324. But in 2020 Indonesia imported shallots from Vietnam, Malaysia, Thailand of 8.17 thousand tonnes of production in 2020 of 1,815,445. For this reason, the government provides subsidized assistance in 2020 so that production increases by 20%, and production in 2021 increases by 3,138,812, production in 2050 is 5,027,189, if the government always provides subsidies, then Indonesia shallot production in the future will no longer be necessary. Imports in other words, Indonesia achieved self-sufficiency in shallots.

Abstract

Consumer demand is an action taken by consumers to buy a product. The first objective of this study was to analyze and determine the effect of income, education, number of dependents, and the price of avocado on the demand for avocado butter in the traditional markets of North Aceh District. The second objective is to analyze the order of attributes of the most important mango avocado fruit according to consumer preferences in traditional markets in North Aceh District. This study was tested with validity and reliability tests and analyzed using multiple linear analysis and obtained the calculated F results from both traditional markets to obtain significant results so that reject Ho and accept H1 means simultaneously (simultaneously) with a 95% confidence level.

Abstract

The aim of this investigation was to isolate groundnut root-associated rhizobacteria and to study their efficiency to solubilize silicate, synthesize indole acetic acid (IAA), encourage plant growth, and promote silicon (Si) uptake and deposit in plants. Based on silica-solubilizing ability and IAA production, a bacterial strain was chosen in the present study for further studies. The bacterial isolate synthesized more quantities of IAA at pH 8. When the soil fertilized with silica was inoculated with this bacterial strain, there was an improvement in overall growth characteristics of groundnut. It was also found that more Si was deposited in plants fertilized with both insoluble silica and bacterial strain. Bacteria isolated in the present study can synthesize more IAA under alkaline conditions, solubilize silicate, and encourage the growth of groundnut.

Abstract

The phenomenon of environmental sanitation behavior among the public is very worrying, many factors influence the behavior of environmental sanitation such as knowledge, attitudes and actions. This study aims to determine the relationship between knowledge, attitudes, and actions of the community with environmental sanitation of the fish auction area on the coast of Kendari Bay. This type of research is a correlational study. The population of this study is the community in the Fish Auction Area which amounts to 171 heads of families (KK). The results of statistical tests show that knowledge is significantly related to environmental sanitation (p<0,05), Community attitudes are significantly related to environmental sanitation (p<0,05), But community actions do not relate significantly to environmental sanitation (p>0,05).

Abstract

The results of this research will be able to describe the perceptions of poultry farmers regarding their level of satisfaction with regard to the availability of transport, land, interest, feed supply, market, foundation stock, finance, water, and pricing bodies by presenting the relationship between each of the selected societal characteristics of the poultry farmers and their perceptions of the performance of the poultry industry. The analysis revealed that market conditions and financing decisions satisfied poultry growers. Furthermore, the findings pointed out that poultry producers certainly lacked the required production capabilities. These abilities include the competence to establish and maintain an appropriate temperature, timely disease detection, timely stress detection, timely stress reduction, timely disease eradication, and timely categorization of death caused by feed/nutrition.
