Abstract

Reading the Al-Qur'an is mandatory for every Muslim from young to old, the great benefits gained from reading the Al-Qur'an are closely related to every human being in living their life. Discussing the Al-Qur'an as a guide, to understand the contents of a guide or instruction, you need a way to understand it, namely by reading. Creating a reading culture can be the main task for young people or teenagers. Teenagers need to maintain the culture of reading the Koran. In this research, the data collection process was carried out using qualitative methods. Data collection techniques were obtained by observation, interviews, and documentation. Analysis techniques are carried out by reviewing data, reduction, data presentation, data interpretation, and educational conclusions. From the results of research regarding educational empowerment activities for maghrib culture in reciting the Koran for teenage girls in Kalipucang Village. The results obtained were that empowerment through educational programs for teenage girls increased the motivation and awareness of teenagers about the importance of reciting the Koran and the benefits of reciting the Koran after Maghrib, especially in their early teens, with their understanding in the future being able to mobilize and develop a young generation who loves the Al-Qur'an.

Abstract

The existence of local culture and society's mindset towards women in higher education is the main point. Some parents prioritize boys' education and ignore girls' education, so it is not surprising that a girl's identity development is retarded. As according to Islam stated in Q.S. al-Mujadilah: 11 which means: "Allah raises the status of those who believe and those who seek knowledge to varying degrees." The research method used is a qualitative descriptive approach with data collection techniques obtained through interviews and observations in Kwasen Dukuh Binangun Kesesi Village, Pekalongan. The research results illustrate that village communities are still influenced by local culture which believes that women's education is not important and is often ignored because they prioritize men's education. This has an impact on barriers to women's development and mentality. However, there is also an open mindset in society. Where they support the importance of higher education for women as a tool to improve the quality of life and create social change. In this context, the dynamics of women's roles in higher education illustrate their struggle to overcome cultural and economic barriers. The government also provides various scholarships as an effort to overcome economic obstacles. Therefore, increasing public awareness of women's higher education is expected to overcome these obstacles and provide greater opportunities for women to obtain higher education.

Abstract

This research discusses the da'wah strategy or methods of assa-adah ta'lim assembly for marginalized groups. Title: Da'wah Strategy for Marginalized Groups in Gang Beard Society V. Marginalized groups are often marginalized, vulnerable, and difficult to reach by religious preaching, so a special approach is needed to deliver religious messages and support positive changes in their lives. Majlis ta'lim assa-adah has succeeded in implementing a da'wah strategy to marginalized groups by approaching them to improve religious knowledge and other factors to empower themselves to approach Allah SWT. Da'wah is not only about religious messages, but also about helping marginalized groups to improve their lives. The program strategy implemented by the Majlis Ta'lim Assa-Adah is by holding a routine reading of the Koran every Wednesday night and the village Koran every Saturday to Thursday and has succeeded in implementing it. Don't forget the various factors that overcome the various characteristics of a marginal person. This research emphasizes the importance of understanding the uniqueness of each marginalized group and developing strategies tailored to their needs, so that religious messages can be conveyed in a relevant way and build strong relationships between da'wah and these marginalized groups.

Abstract

This article explores the challenges faced by conventional da'wah when confronted with the dynamics of digital communication on social media. The core issue identified is the limited ability of traditional da'wah approaches to engage younger audiences who are more responsive to interactive and algorithm-driven communication formats. The purpose of this study is to evaluate the relevance of classical da'wah methods, map the emerging challenges in the age of social media, and identify transformative opportunities that enable da'wah to remain effective within the digital landscape. This article employs a qualitative analytical method based on literature review, analysis of digital media contexts, and examination of digital communication theories. The findings indicate that the most effective strategy lies in integrating conventional da'wah with digital approaches. The relevance of traditional da'wah becomes even more pronounced when strategically combined with the sophistication of social media. Conventional da'wah serves as an anchor that preserves depth and authenticity, while digital da'wah expands its reach to wider publics, especially young people. Through this combination, da'wah can remain relevant, adaptive, and transformative amid the significant changes brought about by the digital age.

Abstract

This article examines lecturers’ instructional communication management in enhancing student engagement in the classroom. Student engagement is a crucial indicator of successful learning in higher education, as it is closely related to motivation, participation, and learning outcomes. This study aims to analyze the concept of lecturers’ instructional communication management and its role in fostering students’ cognitive, affective, and behavioral engagement. The research employs a literature review method by analyzing relevant books and scholarly journal articles related to communication theory, management, instructional communication, and student engagement. The findings indicate that effective instructional communication management includes clear planning of instructional messages, appropriate selection of communication strategies, dialogical management of classroom interactions, optimal utilization of learning media, and the provision of constructive feedback. Well-managed instructional communication has been shown to create a conducive and participatory classroom atmosphere, thereby enhancing student engagement in the learning process. In conclusion, lecturers’ instructional communication management plays a strategic role in improving the quality of learning in higher education and needs to be continuously developed as an integral part of lecturers’ professionalism.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the phenomenon of dissonance between rigid da'wah methods and sublime spiritual goals, which often fails to produce authentic behavioral changes. This study aims to analyze the significance of the interaction between da'wah methods (wasīlah) and goals (ghāyah) in fostering human spiritual behavior change through the lens of Islamic psychology. This study employs a qualitative-descriptive method with a library research approach. Data were collected through academic literature documentation and analyzed using a thematic-integrative technique connecting da'wah theory with Islamic psychological concepts. The results indicate that spiritual transformation requires the internalization of values (internalized faith) through the mechanism of tazkiyat al-nafs, which harmonizes the structures of nafs, ‘aql, and qalb. Specifically, the formulation of Quranic methods—ḥikmah, mau‘iẓah ḥasanah, and mujādalah—serves as an adaptive response to the diversity of the audience's psychological conditions. The study concludes that da'wah must shift from an instructional paradigm toward a transformative-humanistic approach, particularly in the digital era, to foster autonomous consciousness and address the spiritual crisis of modern society.

Abstract

This study examines the concept of emotion-focused coping in Western psychology and engages it in dialogue with the model of emotional regulation in Islamic psychology. In Western psychological tradition, emotion-focused coping is understood as an individual’s strategy to manage emotional responses to stressful situations that are difficult or impossible to change. This study employs a qualitative approach using library research and comparative analysis of Western psychological literature and primary sources of Islamic psychology, including the sirah of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) and thematic tafsir studies. The findings indicate that the concept of emotional regulation equivalent to emotion-focused coping has long existed in Islamic scholarly heritage and was practiced concretely by the Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him), particularly during the Battle of Uhud. In the face of defeat, which had the potential to trigger anger and emotional dysfunction, the Prophet demonstrated emotional regulation through patience, withholding anger, forgiving the mistakes of his companions, building social support through consultation, and relying on Allah Almighty through tawakkul. These practices of emotional regulation not only served to stabilize the personal and collective psychological state of the Muslim community, but also became part of the Prophet’s da’wah strategy, emphasizing emotional education, character formation, and spiritual empowerment as foundational elements for sustaining the mission of Islamic da’wah amid highly stressful circumstances. The findings reaffirm that Islamic psychology offers a holistic and transcendental model of emotion-focused coping, integrating emotional, social, and spiritual dimensions, while simultaneously enhancing the effectiveness of da’wah through the exemplary conduct of the Prophet. This model enriches modern psychological discourse by providing ethical and religious perspectives in emotional management.
