Abstract

In Indonesia, commercial management of community forests began several hundred years ago. This research aims to measure the level of social capital in community forest management, and analyze its influence on community forest performance. The research was carried out using a survey method. Two villages in one district were chosen purposively. Respondents were 60 people that randomly selected from each village. The results of the research reveal that the level of social capital of the two communities in community forest management is classified as different. High social capital has facilitated the revival of good community forest performance, which is characterized by high levels of community forest productivity, as well as continuing sustainable management of community forests, the benefits of regulations. fair management and cost efficiency of community forest management. Strong social capital drives better performance. This research concludes that community social capital in managing community forests in Toini Village is relatively high, while in Betania Village it is low. Considering the differences in social capital that exist in society, the author suggests the need to increase parties, especially the government, to support forest management through increasing roles, facilitating the expansion of social networks, and strengthening the implementation of rules to the community.

Abstract

This study tries to describe the influence of ICT media toward student’s motivation and learning outcome. The study question was how to ICT media influences toward student’s motivation and learning outcome. This study was carried out at SDN Model Terpadu Madani Palu on even semester 2013-2014. The methods of this study was experiment by using ICT media as dependent variable (X). Motivation and learning outcomes as independent variable (Y). The result of this study by using F-test were both the motivation and learning outcome very significant. The result of Fcount motivation and learning outcome each by 242.07 and 121.00. This result more than Ftable (1%) = 94.40. In conclusion: By using ICT media on science learning at grade 5th SDN Model Terpadu Madani Palu would be increasing ofstudent’s motivation and learning outcome.

Abstract

The existence and diversity of mycorrhiza in nature can not be separated from the factors that influence it, such as temperature, light intensity, soil pH and soil nutrient content. The diversity of soil types that have different nutrient content is one of the factors that can influence the existence of mycorrhiza. The purpose of this research is to explain the relationship of mycorrhizal status and soil type characteristic to cocoa plantation area in Central Sulawesi. The location of soil sampling was done in 3 villages ie in the village of Rahmat, Palolo sub-district, Lemban Tongoa village sub district of Palolo, and Saloya village, Sindue sub-district. Analysis of soil physical-chemical properties was carried out in Soil Science Laboratory and mycorrhiza spore observation was conducted in Agronomy Laboratory of Agricultural Faculty of Tadulako University Palu. The research start in October 2016 up to february 2017. The result shows that the average of spores amount in Rahmat Village, Saloya Village and Lemban Tongoa Village is 88, 204 and 224. Root infection is 41.3%, 58.6% and 72.2%. The relationship of soil properties and mycorrhizal depend on the physical and chemical conditions of the soil which causes differences on mycorrhizal spores amount and root infections. Low nutrient of soil was founded high of spores amount and root infections.
