Abstract

A liquid with a comprehensive and diverse nutritional composition is breast milk (ASI). Hypnobreastfeeding is a relaxation method that helps moms feel more relaxed, peaceful, and at ease during the nursing process by giving them pleasant affirmations or suggestions. The Hypnobreastfeeding technique, commonly referred to as relaxation therapy, has been proposed as a means of overcoming these challenges and offering comfort to ensure a smooth nursing procedure. This study falls under the category of Quasy Experimental research, which is an experiment designed to identify a symptom or effect that appears prior to being administered After receiving hypnobreastfeeding treatment, an average score of 35.00 was attained. Since 0.000 is less than 0.05, the non-parametric Wilcoxon p-value is 0.000. It is anticipated that the findings of this study will serve as foundational information for future research. Researchers advise studying how mothers see the value of exclusively nursing infants.Effective hypnobreastfeeding practices are necessary for management aimed at boosting the influence of self-confidence. When it comes to boosting breastfeeding moms' self-confidence, this move is highly successful. Smooth breast milk is one of the factors contributing to the limited coverage of exclusive breastfeeding. The cause of not smooth breast milk is a decrease in Lack of stimulation of the hormones prolactin and oxytocin, which are crucial for the smooth production of breast milk, is the reason of breast milk production in the first few days after birth. Babies that get inadequate nursing will have bloated, red, and malnourished breasts, making them more vulnerable to a variety of illnesses. Hypnobreastfeeding is one method to boost the production of breast milk. The advantages of exclusive breastfeeding are numerous: it can give kids the best nourishment possible; breast milk is simpler to digest than formula milk; it is high in antibodies to boost immunity; it strengthens the emotional tie between mother and child; and it can boost children's IQ (Wijaya, 2019). The purpose of this case study is to describe the application of hypnobreastfeeding relaxation techniques to breastfeeding mothers. The method used in this case study is a descriptive method with an evaluation of hypnobreastfeeding actions. The results after hypnobreastfeeding therapy with a frequency of 3x a day with a duration of 10-30 minutes for 3 days showed an increase in self-confidence in 29 respondents. In conclusion, hypnobreastfeeding is effective in helping to increase the self-confidence of breastfeeding mothers. Hypnobreastfeeding has been proven effective in increasing self-confidence experienced during pregnancy and after childbirth. The results of data analysis using Man Whitney showed a significant difference in anxiety between the group given the intervention and the group that was not given the hypnobreastfeeding intervention. The characteristics of the study subjects were evenly distributed across groups so that the parity factor did not affect the results of the study as a confounding factor.

Abstract

Anemia during pregnancy is a significant public health issue that affects both maternal and fetal health, despite the implementation of the Iron Supplement Tablet (IST) program. One major challenge is the non-compliance of pregnant women in taking IST. This study aimed to analyze factors associated with non-compliance in IST consumption among pregnant women in the working area of the Popayato Timur Community Health Center. A quantitative observational analytical design with a cross-sectional approach was used, involving a sample of 40 pregnant women in their third trimester, selected using a total sampling technique. Data were collected using structured questionnaires and a review of maternal and child health records, covering respondent characteristics, knowledge levels, and IST consumption compliance. Results indicated that 55% of pregnant women were non-compliant in consuming IST. Multivariate analysis revealed that maternal knowledge was significantly associated with IST consumption compliance (p = 0.012; OR = 7.05). Pregnant women with good knowledge were more likely to comply compared to those with low knowledge. Age, parity, and occupation showed no statistically significant relationship. In conclusion, maternal knowledge was the most dominant factor influencing compliance with iron tablet consumption. Strengthening education and counseling during antenatal care is crucial for improving IST compliance and preventing anemia in pregnant women.

Abstract

Background: Exclusive breastfeeding (EBF) is a critical factor influencing infant growth and development. Adequate nutrition during the first six months of life supports optimal weight gain, immunity, and overall health. Despite recommendations from the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Indonesian Ministry of Health, not all mothers practice exclusive breastfeeding due to various social, cultural, and knowledge-related factors (Sari & Putri, 2022). Previous studies have indicated a significant relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and improved infant weight, highlighting the need for community-level interventions to support EBF practices (Rahmawati & Handayani, 2023). In Marekofo Village, there is limited data regarding the association between exclusive breastfeeding and infant weight, making this research important for local health planning and maternal education programs. Objective: This study aimed to examine the relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and infant weight in Marekofo Village. Methods: An analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design was conducted. A total of 30 infants aged 0–6 months and their mothers were selected as the sample using purposive sampling techniques. Data on exclusive breastfeeding status and infant weight were collected through structured interviews and direct measurement using standardized infant weighing procedures. The relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and infant weight was analyzed using the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, with a significance level of p < 0.05.Results: The results showed that 30 mothers (100%) practiced exclusive breastfeeding, and 20 infants (90%) had normal weight, while 10 infants (10%) had lower-than-expected weight. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test indicated a significant relationship between exclusive breastfeeding and infant weight (p = 0.000), suggesting that infants who were exclusively breastfed tended to have healthier weight outcomes. Conclusion: Exclusive breastfeeding has a significant positive effect on infant weight in Marekofo Village. These findings emphasize the importance of promoting exclusive breastfeeding practices through maternal education, community support, and health services to ensure optimal infant growth and development.
