Abstract

This study aims to identify deficiencies in the indicators and variables used to measure Collaborative Governance in the specific context of Mangrove-based ecotourism on Bintan Island, Riau Islands, Indonesia. Furthermore, this study explores the intricacies of Collaborative Governance circumstances to uncover the interactions between stakeholders as they synchronize their endeavors for development by specific visions and goals. This study utilizes a qualitative research methodology, incorporating primary data obtained through interviews and secondary data collected through transcripts. A comprehensive interpretative framework is developed using rigorous triangulation methods and NVivo software. The results highlight the ability of stakeholders to utilize Mangrove conservation regulations on Bintan Island to influence the development of Collaborative Governance models that incorporate both grassroots and top-level approaches. NVivo coding in this study identifies indicators and variables that may be considered weak, specifically within the context of the priority Penta Helix model. However, the study argues for a viable integration model incorporating Penta Helix indications. The present concept under consideration exhibits readiness for execution, enabling stakeholders to provide a wide range of offerings for Mangrove Ecotourism, catering to both domestic and foreign tourists.

Abstract

This paper explores challenges of modernization theory in Uganda by analyzing its conceptual distinctions and theoretical frameworks. Modernization theories are typically categorized into 'critical variable' and 'dichotomous' approaches, each defining modernization through specific social changes or the acquisition of modern attributes by traditional societies. Drawing on works by theorists like Schwartz and Levy, the critique examines how these frameworks inadequately capture Uganda's complex modernization realities. The study aims to provide a nuanced understanding of modernization's applicability to Uganda's development trajectory. Methodologically, it employs a comprehensive review of scholarly literature and theoretical analysis. The findings underscore the limitations of prevailing modernization theories in explaining Uganda's development and suggest implications for policy and practice. This analysis contributes to ongoing debates on development theories and their relevance in diverse global contexts, advocating for more context-sensitive approaches to understanding and promoting socio-economic progress in Uganda.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the optimization of data interoperability for the efficiency of the One Data Employment System by analyzing the implementation of the One Data standard, technical challenges, organizational needs, and the benefits of strategic steps. This research uses a qualitative research approach with in-depth analysis assisted by NVivo 12 Plus Software with various data sources that support the research results, namely Previous studies/literature reviews, news, and websites on the Satu Employment Data portal. The results of the analysis show that the implementation of the One Data standard includes data collection and exchange policies, development of technological infrastructure, adoption of data standards, personnel training, and stakeholder involvement with inter-agency coordination, as well as regular data reporting and validation, are needed to prevent duplication. Technical challenges relate to differences in communication protocols, data formats, and security. The results of the implementation show that with a careful and collaborative approach, these technical challenges can be overcome, as seen from the network revitalization and increased data security at the Ministry of Manpower with the help of BSSN. Organizational needs by carrying out needs analysis, setting standards, developing infrastructure, and managing data quality. Benefit from strategic steps by aligning departments, training, and regular monitoring, as well as scalability and collaboration. One Employment Data organizers produce quality data through the coordination of various work units and one data policy.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether using SIBERAS digital technology-based applications can help village governments improve the quality of public services and the factors that influence it. The type of research used is quantitative. Data collection techniquesuse observation and questionnaires. The results showed the quality of public services through the SIBERAS application in Bulovillage, Sidenreng Rappang Regency, Indonesia, on variable X with an unfavorable classification of 56.3%. At the same time, the Yvariable in the excellent classification is 62%. The most influential factor is training. The study's results contribute to developing aresearch roadmap on public services using digital technology-based applications. The limitation of this study is that it only reveals one village in Indonesia, so the research findings cannot thoroughly describe the villages in Indonesia. The following research needsto be carried out in more villages to provide an overview of improving the quality of public services from village governments usingdigital technology-based applications.

Abstract

Employee health and productivity are both negatively affected by work stress, which is a major issue for public sector organisations. Employees in the public sector are the subjects of this quantitative study, which seeks to understand the connections between transformational leadership, team conflict, personality factors, and stress on the job. Surveys were sent out to 656 people, drawn from a pool of representatives from different government agencies. To determine how transformational leadership, team conflict, and personality attributes directly impact stress on the job, structural equation modelling (SEM) was used. First results point to a negative correlation between transformational leadership and stress in the workplace, suggesting that people working for transformational leaders feel less pressure. Furthermore, there is a positive correlation between team conflict and work stress, which shows that intra-team disagreements have a negative effect on employees' stress levels. Individuals high in neuroticism report much higher levels of stress at work, suggesting that personality traits, and neuroticism in particular, are strong predictors of occupational stress. These findings shed light on the unique impacts of transformational leadership, team conflict, and personality factors on work stress in public organisations. The significance of reducing team conflicts and encouraging transformative leadership skills in reducing employee stress at work are two examples of the practical ramifications. In order to improve organisational productivity and employee well-being, organisations must acknowledge the significance of individual personality characteristics and develop treatments accordingly.
