Abstract

Oil palm, viewed from the economic aspect, can build a financial center to support regional economic growth. This study aims to determine the impact of oil palm plantations on the economy and the environment in Bengkulu Province. This study uses descriptive qualitative research using sources from various previous studies. It is equipped with multiple literature or literature reviews that will answer the research results on the impact of oil palm plantations on the economy and the environment. The study results reveal that oil palm plantations in Bengkulu Province improve people's welfare, create jobs, and contribute to regional development in Bengkulu Province. Extensive oil palm plantations hurt the environment, which results in regular flooding due to forest encroachment and large-scale opening of plantations so that forests and land cover are damaged; this results in significant surface runoff of rainwater and rainwater infiltration. Small scale causes an imbalance due to considerable runoff triggering erosion and land degradation. Facing this problem by maintaining forest and spatial planning by continuing reforestation, especially in the upstream area to keep it stable and handling the waste system and urban systems must be integrated, flood-prone points can be overcome.

Abstract

The Homecare Dottoro'ta service is an innovative health service based on home visits implemented by the Makassar City Government to improve access and the quality of public health services. This study aims to examine the influence of service quality dimensions on the satisfaction level of the community using the Home Care Dottoro'ta services. This study uses a quantitative approach with a survey method by distributing questionnaires to 96 respondents who are active users of the service. Data analysis was conducted using SEM-PLS software to analyze and test the hypotheses. The research results show that reliability, assurance, and empathy have a positive and significant impact on community satisfaction, with T-statistics values of 4.259 (P-value 0.000), 2.494 (P-value 0.013), and 2.647 (P-value 0.008), respectively. Meanwhile, tangible and responsiveness do not show significant influence, with T-statistics values of 6.000 (P-value 0.549) and 2.771 (P-value 0.441). These findings affirm that accuracy, trust in the competence of the staff, and an empathetic approach are the main determinants in shaping the perception of service satisfaction. This study recommends increased professionalism and humanistic communication from medical staff and a thorough evaluation of service dimensions that have not yet significantly contributed to public satisfaction to support the sustainability and optimization of Dottoro'ta Home Care services in Makassar City.

Abstract

This research aims to identify ways to handle flood and landslide disasters in strengthening collaboration between the government and CSOs in Purworejo Regency. Often describe elements of cooperation in handling flood and landslide disasters. The research method applied is qualitative with a case study approach between CSO and the Purworejo Regency Government in disaster management in 2021-2022. The findings of this study show that efficient collaboration in disaster management can be implemented through three important steps, namely: the importance of creating trust between all parties from the beginning, showing a high level of commitment throughout the process, and this collaboration can create common understanding and outcomes that benefit the community and the government. For this reason, the Regional Disaster Management Agency of Purworejo Regency provides a more comprehensive picture of the effectiveness of collaboration in disaster management as well as the factors that contribute to overcoming flood and landslide disasters. However, the implementation of Collaborative Governance has not gone well, this can be seen from the constraints and lack of private sector participation in analyzing articles on flood and landslide disasters. We urgently need input from readers for the development of the next article.
