Abstract

Today, many people experience problematic social media use. Problematic social media use is a term that shows the negative impact of social media use. Namely, when someone begins to feel dependent on the use of social media. This happens when someone feels social media is their need. Using expressive therapy techniques aims to help clients express feelings or problems they face, both verbally and non-verbally. This study aims to collaborate on the theoretical basis and practice of counseling as an alternative in dealing with problematic social media use problems. The research method used is the library research method. The data analysis technique used is content analysis. Namely, to maintain accuracy in the assessment and misinformation in data analysis, it is necessary to check between libraries and re-read the literature. The results of this study are the elaboration of the theoretical and practical foundation of counseling, including: 1) Problematic social media use, 2) Definition of expressive therapy techniques, 3) Characteristics of expressive therapy techniques, 3) Forms of application of expressive therapy techniques, and 4) The role of expressive therapy techniques in dealing with problematic social media use.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of reality group counseling to increase the learning motivation of junior high school students in Siman Village. In this study, researchers used a quantitative approach to this type of experiment. Samples were determined using purposive sampling techniques online via a google form. The data analysis techniques used were validity, reliability, normality, and hypothesis testing. The results showed that 1) the Sig. (2-tailed) 0.000 <0.05 indicates that there is a difference in the initial variable with the final variable, 2) the application of reality group counseling can increase the learning motivation of students of class VIII and VIII SMP in Pluncing Hamlet, and 3) the criteria for increasing student learning motivation are in the high category so that reality group counseling is effective at increasing student learning motivation.

Abstract

In dealing with the level of self-compassion in ODHA and how effective Art Therapy is in increasing self-love in good or bad conditions, is the formulation of the problem that is used as the basis for this literature review. HIV is a dangerous threat to human health starting from physical health, social conditions, and psychological conditions. This can cause low self-compassion in some people. This can beobserved through negative behaviors that are carried out on himself. Compassion is very important in human life, because compassion can be a supporting element of one's well-being. Art Therapy is a therapy that is said to be effective in dealing with psychological problems, can increase the level of individual self-quality and also has the potential to increase self-compassion. So what are the steps taken to assess the effectiveness of Art Therapy in an effort to increase self-compassion in ODHA. Self-compassion can be measured by the Self Compassion Scale (SCS). The method used in this literature study is using existing research to analyze and find answers to the previous problem formulation. It can be seen that previous researchers have proven the effectiveness of Art Therapy in an effort to increase the level of self-compassion in people with HIV/AIDS (ODHA).

Abstract

This study aims to obtain an overview of academic stress levels among students of UKWMS Madiun due to online learning during Covid-19 pandemic. The research method used in this study is descriptive quantitative method, with data collection technique using questionnaire in the form of scale. The population of this study were all 777 active students of UKWMS Madiun in the academic year of2020/2021. The research samples of this study were 220 students, determined by using Isaac and Michael table. The results of this study showed that stress levels among UKWMS Madiun students are 47% experienced mild academic stress, 50% experienced moderate academic stress, and 3% experienced severe academic stress.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the description of stress, the factors that influence it and how to cope with stress that is owned by novice counselors at SMP Negeri 10 Madiun City. The research sample was guidance and counseling teachers at SMP Negeri 10 Madiun City who had a working period of less than 2 years totaling 3 people. This study uses a descriptive qualitative pattern. The datacollection technique used is interviews. The results of the study were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman technique. From the results of the study, it is known that the sample feels stress at the beginning of their working period which is indicated by physical, emotional, interpersonal, and intellectual symptoms. Factors that affect their stress include the acceptance of colleagues, personal problems outside of work that are brought into the world of work, and feel the workload is high. Coping stress used is by venting to friends, trying to show co-workers that he has a qualified work ethic, motivating himself by believing that being a BK teacher is something to be proud of. Based on these findings, it can be concluded that novice counselors have stress disorders at the beginning of their careers and are able to manage the stress they experience with seeking social support and positive reinterpretation techniques. This is also inseparable fromhow the efforts of senior counselors who are in the workplace are able to guide and support the performance of their juniors in order to carry out their professional duties effectively.

Abstract

Along with the times, especially in the era of the development of information and communication technology. The development of information technology is very sophisticated, fast and easy so that it becomes a lifestyle for people around the world, including Indonesia. The public is free to express their opinions, either through oral, written, print or electronic media (online). Often the delivery of opinions or opinions freely is misused by some people to express their opinions in an uncultured and unethical manner which will bring legal consequences for the perpetrators, one of which is expressing displeasure or making hate speech. Hate speech is an act of communication carried out by an individual or group in the form of provocation, incitement, or insult to another individual or group in terms of various aspects such as race, skin color, gender, disability, sexual orientation, nationality, religion, and others. This hate speech crime can be carried out through various media, including in campaign speeches, social media networks, public presentations (demonstrations), religious lectures and other electronic media. This study aims to see how the differences in the tendency to do hate speech between men and women. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method. This method is used to see and describe the tendency to do hate speech between men and women. This research was conducted on 4 teenagers (2 boys and 2 girls; average age 19 years; student status) through in-depth interviews. The data were analyzed using an interactive model consisting of three steps including data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that there are differences in the forms of hate speech between men and women, where differences in women's hate speech are more provocation to everyone against people who are given hate speech than hate speech committed by men. Therefore, as good Indonesian citizens and upholding unity, in expressing opinions and criticisms, we should use wise and kind sentences, so that our opinions can be accepted and do not cause misunderstandings to other social media users. It is better in laws and regulations relating to insults and hate speech, both on social media and in public, a further article is made that explains the intent of hate speech itself, suchas dirty sentences, animal names and speech without valid data. If it is used, it will be subject to the ITE article regarding hate speech itself. Counselors/BK teachers also have an important role to shape student behavior in schools so as not to do hate speech. Not only that, the creativity of a Counselor/BK teacher is also required so that all ways can be taken to avoid students being involved with hate speech behavior by providing information services and providing group guidance services. For students who have been involved with hate speech actions, coaching can be done through individual counseling, group counseling and group guidance.

Abstract

Self-concept is a person's view of himself, if someone has a positive view of himself, it will develop the nature of self-confidence and the ability to see himself positively. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of experiential learning-based group counseling services on the self-concept of students of the Guidance and Counseling study program FKIP Unsri. The research subjects were taken by purposive sampling technique, based on the analysis of the results of the identification of needs, obtained 7 students who became research subjects. This study uses an experimental method with a One-Group Pre-test Post-test design. The data collection instrument used was a questionnaire. From the results of the research, the students' self-concept scores were 68.42 in the medium category, after the post-test results increased with a self-concept score of 112.42 in the high category. Based on the results of the t-test, it is obtained that it is greater than t-table at a significance level of 5% (3.56> 2.45. This indicates that there is a significant effect of Experiential Learning-based group counseling services on students' self-concepts.
