Abstract

The availability of stable and quality wood raw materials is very important to maintain the smooth production process of haspel, because unstable supply and poor wood quality can hamper production and reduce the quality of the final product. This study aims to analyze the effect of the availability and quality of raw materials on production volume in the haspel plate industry of Himas Mekar Sukaraja. The method used is quantitative research with a case study approach, involving 32 respondents who are directly involved in the production process. The results show that the availability of raw materials (X1) has a significant and positive effect on production volume (Y), where the higher the availability of raw materials, the greater the production volume produced. The quality of raw materials (X2) also has a significant and positive effect on production volume, which means that increasing the quality of wood will increase production output. Simultaneously, both variables of availability and quality of raw materials have a significant effect on production volume, so that increasing both is an important factor in maintaining and increasing the productivity of the haspel industry of Himas Mekar Sukaraja.

Abstract

Low birth weight (LBW) and neonatal asphyxia are major contributors to neonatal morbidity and mortality. Maternal factors such as active pulmonary tuberculosis may further worsen neonatal conditions through impaired intrauterine oxygenation, placing infants at high risk and requiring intensive physiological stabilization from the early neonatal period. Developmental care is a non-pharmacological intervention based on evidence-based practice that focuses on environmental regulation and stimulation tailored to the infant’s developmental needs. This case study aimed to describe the implementation of developmental care on physiological stabilization in a low birth weight infant with mild asphyxia born to a mother with active pulmonary tuberculosis. The study employed a case study design involving a one-day-old male neonate treated in a level II perinatology unit of a provincial referral hospital. The intervention was conducted over four days and included environmental modification, reduction of noise and lighting, use of nesting, implementation of clustered care, and maternal involvement through education and auditory stimulation. Physiological parameters observed included body temperature, respiratory rate, heart rate, oxygen saturation, sucking reflex, sleep patterns, level of calmness, and weight changes. The results demonstrated improved physiological stabilization, as indicated by vital signs within normal ranges, enhanced sucking reflex, improved sleep quality, and weight gain. Developmental care has the potential to support physiological adaptation and is recommended as an evidence-based neonatal nursing practice.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding refers to providing only breast milk and no other food or drink to infants from birth to 6 months of age, except for medications and vitamins (Humune et al., 2020). A 2022 survey by the World Health Organization (WHO) found that exclusive breastfeeding coverage in Indonesia was 67.96%, compared to 69.7% in 2021. This data indicates a decline in exclusive breastfeeding coverage (WHO, 2023). Data from Bengkulu Province recorded exclusive breastfeeding coverage of 66.5% in Bengkulu City (Health Profile of Bengkulu Province). This study aims to determine the correlation between maternal knowledge and husband's support and the success of exclusive breastfeeding in the Working Area of Kandang Health Center of Bengkulu City. The method used was an analytical research design with a cross-sectional approach. Data were collected by distributing questionnaires to 43 respondents using a total sampling technique. Univariate analysis results showed that almost half of the respondents (46.5%) had insufficient knowledge, the majority (58.1%) did not receive support from their husbands, and the majority (55.8%) did not provide exclusive breastfeeding. Bivariate analysis results showed a significant correlation between maternal knowledge and husband's support and the success of exclusive breastfeeding in the Working Area of Kandang Health Center of Bengkulu City (p-value = 0.01). It is recommended that the health center provide education on exclusive breastfeeding and the factors influencing its success.

Adolescents aged 10–19 years are at risk of pregnancy, which can lead to physical, psychological, and social impacts. Objective: To determine the level of knowledge regarding the risks of pregnancy among adolescent girls at the community health posts (Posyandu) in the working area of Penumping Community Health Center. Methods: This study employed a descriptive quantitative method. A total of 59 respondents were selected using stratified random sampling, with sampling in each stratum conducted through simple random sampling. The instrument used was a questionnaire. Results: The characteristics of respondents based on age showed that most were aged 13–15 years, totaling 25 respondents (42.4%). Based on education level, most respondents were junior high school students, totaling 24 respondents (40.7%). Based on sources of information, most respondents obtained information from health education sessions, totaling 24 respondents (40.7%). The level of knowledge of the respondents showed that 39 respondents (66.1%) had good knowledge. Conclusion: The level of knowledge of adolescent girls regarding the risks of teenage pregnancy was in the good category, with scores ranging from 75–100%.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the influence of work environment and emotional intelligence on employee performance at PT. Agricinal Bengkulu Utara, both partially and simultaneously. The background of this research stems from issues related to an unconducive work environment, high work pressure, and the low ability of some employees to manage emotions and maintain harmonious work relationships. The research uses a quantitative method with an associative approach. The population consists of 215 employees, with a sample of 140 respondents selected using the probability sampling technique. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis with partial (t-test) and simultaneous (F-test) testing. The results showed that: (1) the work environment has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, as evidenced by the value of tcount 5.764 > ttable 1.656 and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05; (2) emotional intelligence also has a positive and significant effect on employee performance with a tcount of 2.240 > ttable 1.656 and a significance level of 0.031 < 0.05; (3) simultaneously, the work environment and emotional intelligence significantly affect employee performance with an F significance value of 0.000 < 0.05. The questionnaire is valid for variable (X) because the calculated r value is greater than the table r value = 0.1648. The indicator that the question items in the questionnaire are valid is if the calculated r > table r. The table r, which is the fixed value, is 0.1648.
