Abstract

This study reviews the Islamization of smartphones as a prevention of moral decline in children today. Due to globalization and the rapid development of technology, children often spend time with smartphones. This causes children to watch things they shouldn't watch so they follow and bring them into the real world. And many other negative impacts. This study details that by Islamizing and associating smartphones with Islamic things, it will make children's morals better. The method used is a literature study, which observes previous research on the Islamization of science and technology. And regarding the difficulty in Islamization, it is due to the emergence of challenges both from within Islam and from outside Islam.

Abstract

The position of the Qur'an and Hadith is the main reference in the world of education. The Qur'an and Hadith have an important role as the basis of Islamic education. The existence of Islamic education as an effort of the people in a community institution that provides education. Not only that, sometimes education is also a source of effort in itself as a source of income in his life. Education can bring a good person and can interact in life by running as a social being constructively. The type of research used is literature study (library research). Data analysis is qualitative by sorting, searching, and finding to manage the data. The data sources used are primary data sources and secondary data. The primary data is from books, journals, about the position of the Qur'an to be studied in depth as a basis for this article. Secondary data, as complementary data used in journals, and articles that are relevant to the research conducted by the author. The results of this study indicate that the position of the Qur'an and hadith in Islamic education has similarities between the two, namely both are the main references in Islamic education, but both also have differences. Because if the Qur'an is a global revelation. So to understand it requires interpretation. While the position of the hadith plays an important role in providing a basis for strengthening and clarifying to answer the problems contained in the Qur'an. Abstract

Understanding the human soul has become a popular subject among Muslim and Western philosophers. In Western thought, it is interpreted that the soul and spirit are one and the same entity. There is no distinction between the two. However, this differs from the perspective of Muslim philosophers, as explained by Ibn Arabi, who posited that the soul and spirit are distinct, with the spirit being the source of human life inseparable from the body. This paper aims to fortify the spirit. The research employs a descriptive and analytical methodology from Ibn Arabi's viewpoint. Using this method, we can draw several conclusions: Firstly, Ibn Arabi's understanding of the soul is that it is the essence of a human being, inseparable from the soul. Secondly, there are three elements to strengthen the spirit: self-reflection (muhasabah), purification of the self (tazkiyyatun nafs), and striving (mujahadah). Thirdly, after undergoing this strengthening process, it culminates in a state of happiness brought about by the fortification of the spirit.

Abstract

The formation of history is more than just recording past events. More than that, history can illuminate human development. Because history is the chronological development of humanity. Ibn Khaldūn and Karl Marx are two influential philosophers who have discussed human civilization. Ibn Khaldūn, a medieval philosopher, focused on the unity of the people, while Karl Marx, a modern philosopher, examined historical change through the lens of class (the caste that plays a role in historical change). This research aims to analyze historical change, or what the pair represents. The author uses primary sources, including Ibn Khaldūn' s Muqaddimah and Karl Marx: Selected Writings, to collect relevant data. Thereafter, the study utilized desk research with descriptive, analytical, and interpretative methods. This research proposes the same method to discuss Islamic philosophy in history between Ibn Khaldūn and Karl Marx, although it is not necessarily the same. Ibn Khaldūn's historical research reflects the perspective of the classical period, while Karl Marx's reflects the modern situation. In their theories, both Ibn Khaldūn and Karl Marx emphasized community, including the state, society, and bonds ('ashābiyyah) as the roots of the growth of the philosophy of history. Both theories present the philosophy of history in a similar way, although there are differences.

Abstract

The Isra' and Mi'raj event is one of the important events in Islam, which is believed to be a miracle of the Prophet Muhammad. This event describes the Prophet Muhammad's journey from the Grand Mosque in Makkah to the Aqsa Mosque in Palestine, followed by a vertical journey to the sky to reach Sidratul Muntaha. Physically, the Isra' and Mi'raj event is a phenomenon that is difficult to explain. The journey from Makkah to Palestine takes at least 12 hours, while the vertical journey to the sky to Sidratul Muntaha takes much longer. In addition, the speed of light is the highest speed limit in the universe, so traveling at the speed of light or faster is impossible. Nonetheless, some physicists have tried to provide an explanation for the Isra' and Mi'raj events. One of the theories put forward is Heisenberg's uncertainty theory, which states that the position and momentum of an object cannot be known with certainty simultaneously. This theory can be used to explain how the Prophet Muhammad could be present in many places at almost the same time. Another theory put forward is the theory of annihilation, which states that energy can turn into light. This theory can be used to explain how the Prophet Muhammad could experience the process of purifying the heart. However, both theories still have limitations. Heisenberg's uncertainty theory cannot explain how the Prophet Muhammad could travel at a speed faster than the speed of light. Meanwhile, the theory of annihilation cannot explain how the heart purification process can turn the Prophet Muhammad into light. In conclusion, the Isra' and Mi'raj events are phenomena that cannot be fully explained by human science. This event is a miracle that can only be understood with faith.
