Abstract

This Study aims to determine the type of feed that support growth and high survival for manfish. The research was carried out for 42 days (6 Weeks), at fish breeding and breeding laboratory (PPI) Department of Aquaculture. The method used in this study is the experimental method that uses one-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of six treatments with three replications. The treatment applied in this study is AR6 (Artemia sp. 6 weeks), KA6 (Water fleas 6 weeks), T6 (Tubifex sp. 6 weeks), AR3T3 (Artemia sp. 3 weeks, Tubifex sp. 3 weeks), KA3T3 (Water fleas 3 weeks, Tubifex sp. 3 weeks), and AR2KA2T2 (Artemia sp. 2 weeks, Water fleas 2weeks, Tubifex sp. 2 weeks). The result showed that the best treatment of types and their different food combination was found in T6 treatment (Tubifex sp. 6 weeks) produces absolute weight growth of 2,67 grams, growth of absolute length of 3,74 cm, specific growth rate of 13,05%, while the best survival rate found in the AR3T3 treatment (Artemia sp. 3 minggu, Tubifex sp. 3 minggu) is 85,67%. Water quality during the study was temperature ranging from 25-27,50C, pH ranged from 5,0-6,1 and DO was 5,0-6,7.

Abstract

Herb-fermented medicine consists of Curcuma zanthorrhiza, Curcuma domestica Val. and Kaempferia galanga, which contains active substances to overcome disease. This research was conducted from August to December 2021 at the Marine Science Biotechnology Laboratory and Fish Parasite and Disease Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Universitas Riau. The method used in this study was an experiment using a Complete Randomized Design (CRD), one factor with five treatments and three replications. The treatment of this study was Kn: Negative control (feeding without herbs fermented and without being challenged Aeromonas hydrophila), Kp: Positive Control (feeding without herbs fermented and challenged with A. hydrophila), P1; P2 and P3: Fed herbs fermented at a dose of 150, 175 and 200 mL/kg and challenged with A. hydrophila. The fish used was 6-7 BW with a 1 fish/4L density. The result showed the best dose was in P3, with a total of leukocytes 5,01x104 cells/mm3, Lymphocytes 77,67%, Neutrophils 7,67%, Monocytes 14,67%, Phagocytic activity 37,67%. Based on the data obtained, it can be concluded that fermented herbs have a significant effect on the leukocyte differentiation of Oreochromis niloticus

Abstract

This study was conducted in September-October 2021 at The Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Universitas Riau, Pekanbaru. The study aimed to determine the effect of immersion eggs with different doses of vitamin C on the hatchability, growth, and survival of larvae Pangasionodon hypophthalmus. This study used a completely randomized design (CRD) with 5 treatments and 3 replications. Different doses used in this study were C0 (control), C250 (250 mg/L), C500 (500 mg/L), C750 (750 mg/L), and C1000 (1000 mg/L) neutralized with NaOH solution. Immersion of eggs with vitamin C for 3 hours with a density of ~1000 eggs (1g) and water volume 1 L. fish larvae were maintained for 30 days. The results showed that different doses of vitamin C solution had a significant effect (P<0,05) on fertilization rate (91,33%), hatching rate (90,06%), and survival rate of larvae (90,25%). However, it did not significantly affect (P>0,05) the absolute length growth, weight growth, and specific growth rate of fish larvae. The research showed that vitamin C doses were used to increase the fertilization, hatching, and survival rate of fish larvae, which was 500 mg/L. the quality of water during the study was temperature, pH 4,6-7,2, DO 6,2-6,7 mg/L, and ammonia 0,0014-0,024 mg/L

Abstract

This research was conducted in Desember – January 2021 at the Laboratory of Fish Hatchery and Breeding, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences, Universitas Riau. This study aims to determine the effect of feeding and the number of different feeds on the growth and survival of Nilem (Osteochillus hasselti) larvae. The method used was a completely randomized factorial design with 9 treatments and 3 replications. F2P25 (Feed Frequency 2 x daily + Total Feed 25% of body weight), F4P25 (Feed Frequency 4 x daily + Total Feed 25% of body weight), F6P25 (Feed Frequency 6 x daily + Total Feed 25% of body weight), F2P50 (Feed Frequency 2 x daily + Total Feed 50% of body weight), F4P50 (Feed Frequency 4 x daily + Total Feed 50% of body weight), F6P50 (Feed Frequency 6 x daily + Total Feed 50% of body weight), F2P75 (Feed Frequency 2 x daily + Total Feed 75% of body weight), F4P75 (Feed Frequency 4 x daily + Total Feed 75% of body weight), F6P75 (Feed Frequency 6 x daily + Total Feed 75% of body weight ). The results showed that different feeds and feeds had a very significant effect on growth with absolute length (3.14 cm), absolute weight (2.70 g), specific growth rate (14.56), and survival rate (87, 77%).

Abstract

Natural ingredients used in the manufacture of fermented herbs medicine, such as turmeric, ginger, and kencur. These plants are antibacterial and antimicrobial and increase the growth of fish. This research was conducted from November 2021 to March 2022 at the Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Riau University. The purpose of this study was to analyze the histopathology of the intestine and liver of Oreochromis niloticus fed with herbs fermented pellet and infected with Aeromonas hydrophila. The method used is an experiment with a completely randomized design (CRD) one factor, five levels of treatment, and three replications so that 15 experimental units were obtained. The treatments used were Kn (feeding without fermented herbs and without infection with A. hydrophila bacteria), Kp (feeding without fermented herbs and infected with A. hydrophila bacteria) and feeding with the addition of fermented herbs and infected with bacteria A. hydrophila at a dose of 150 mL/kg (P1), 175 mL/kg (P2), and 200 mL/kg (P3). The results showed that the damage that occurs in the intestine was edema, haemorrhage and necrosis. Liver damage in the form of hypertrophy, bleeding, vacuole degeneration and necrosis. The best dose was found which is 200 mL/kg of feed (P3). The survival rate was 85,00%. It can be concluded that the addition of herbs fermented to feed can improve the structure of O.niloticus

Abstract

This research aims to find the best large aquarium and stocking density for the goramy larvae and survival rate of g. This research was carried out in March – Mei 2022 at the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Universitas Riau. This research method used a Completely Randomized Design with two factors and three replications. The first factor is the different large of an aquarium with three treatments each (30x30x30 cm, 40x30x30 cm, and 50x30x30 cm), and the second factor is stocking density of larvae with three treatments each (4 fish L-1, 6 fish L-1, and 8 fish L-1). The treatment in this research namely Lw1Pt4, Lw1Pt6, Lw1Pt8, Lw2Pt4, Lw2Pt6, Lw2Pt8, Lw3Pt4, Lw3Pt6, Lw3Pt8. The result showed that different amounts of aquarium and stocking density had a significant effect (P<0,05). The best result was Lw2Pt4 (Different large aquarium 40x30x30 cm + Stocking Density 4 fish L-1) with absolute weight growth of 29.13 grams, an absolute length growth of 2.40 cm, a specific growth rate of 9.05 %/day and a survival rate of 99.66%. The water quality parameters during research ranged from 26–27oC, pH 6-7, and dissolved oxygen (DO) from 4.5-5.6 ppm

Abstract

The research was conducted in february to April 2021 in the Laboratory of Fish Hatchery and Breeding Faculty of Fisheries and Marine Sciences University of Riau. The purpose of this study was to know the effect of changing Artemia sp with MeM microdiet feed and to find out the best feed change time for growth and survival of Climbing perchlarvae.The method used in this study is an experimental method with a one-factor Completely Randomized Design (CRD) with seven treatments and 3 replications. The treatments were P0 (Artemia sp for 40 days), P1 (Artemia sp for 32 days and 8 days MeM pellets, P2 (Artemia sp for 26 days and MeM pellets for 14 days), P3 (Artemia sp for 20 days and MeM pellets for 20 days). ), P4 (Artemia sp for 14 days and MeM pellets for 26 days), P5 (Artemia sp for 8 days and MeM pellets for 32 days), P6 (MeM pellets for 40 days). in this study were larvae aged 5 days, which came from semi-natural spawning with ovaprim injection dose for males 0.5 ml/kg body weight and females with a dose of 0.5 ml/kg body weight.The results showed that there was an effect of time replacement of Artemia nauplii with MeM microdiet feed. The time of alternation of Artemia nauplii with MeM microdiet diet after 20 days of age (P3) gave the best results on growth rates such as absolute weight growth, daily growth rate, and absolute length growth, as well as growth rate. at each of 0.8243 g, 14.6467%/ day, 3.7356 cm, and 95.67%, respectively

Abstract

The research it was conducted on March to May 2021 at Hatchery Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, University of Riau. This study aims to determine the growth of Osphronemus gouramy fish that given POC (Organic Liquid Fertilizer) with different doses with the Aquaponic system. This research using a container bucket -sized 100 liters as much as 15 units. Dose POC ( Fertilizer Organic Liquid ) were used in the study is that P 0 (control), P 1 (0.5 ml / l), P 2 (0.875 ml / l), P 3 (1.25 ml / l), P 4 (1.625 ml / l), the technology that is used in research this is a technology Aquaponics to use the swamp as a plant . The method that is used in research is a method of experimentation that is Design Randomized Complete (RAL) one factor with a five- stage treatment and three times repetition . From the results of the research that has been done it can be known that the treatment that is best in research is the treatment of P 3 , namely the provision of POC ( Fertilizer Organic Liquid ) with a dose of 1.25 ml / l. Water quality during the study obtained temperature 26.0-26.6°C, pH 6.20-7.98, DO 6.1-7.9 mg/l, ammonia 0.0002-0.0014 mg/l, and bundance of phytoplankton 112.319 ind/l. Giving a dose of POC ( Fertilizer Organic Liquid ) differ in the maintenance of fish carp give the effect that the real against the growing weight of absolute of 10.20 grams, the growth of long- absolute of 4.26 cm, the rate of growth specifically by 1.91%, the conversion of feed at 0, 93%, 100% survival rate , plant absolute weight 7.26 grams, and plant absolute length 37.33 cm.

Abstract

Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine, Universitas Riau, Pekanbaru. This research aims to determine the effect of Dancow full cream milk powder on eggs adhesive, fertilization rate, hatching, and the survival of Green Catfish (Hemibagrus nemurus) larvae. This experimental research used a completely randomized design with a factorial pattern (CRD) with 1 factor, 4 levels of treatment, and 3 replications. The treatment levels covered P0: No washing (Control), P1: 12 g of powdered milk + 1 g of NaCl/L of water, P2: 14 g of powdered milk + 1 g of NaCl/L of water, P3: 16 g of powdered milk + 1 g of NaCl/L of water and Washing is done for 20 minutes. The washing was performed on 1 gram of eggs or with a density of ± 570 eggs in each treatment. The best washing solution for washing eggs contained 16 g of powdered milk + 1 g of NaCl resulting in 93.57% of eggs that do not stick together (non-adhesive) and the fertilization rate reached 83.16% with the hatching rate of 86.77% and larval survival (SR 7 days) of 90.3%.

Abstract

This purpose of this study to determine the effect of different photoperiods on the growth and survival of baung fish larvae. This research was conducted from May 2021 to August 2021 at the Fish Hatchery and Breeding Laboratory, Faculty of Fisheries and Marine sciences, Riau University, Pekanbaru. The method used in this study is an experimental method using a completely randomized design (CRD) one factor five treatment levels and three replications. The treatments used were as follows P1 (24 hours dark), P2 (24 hours light), P3 (12 hours dark, 12 hours light), P4 (18 hours dark, 6 hours light), P5 (6 hours dark, 18 hours). The baung fish (Hemibagrus mumurus) is a nocturnal fish. The photopriode will affect baung fish larvae in fish activities such as eating habits and behavior. The results showed that the best absolute weight, absolute length, daily growth rate, and survival rate were obtained in P1 treatment, which was 24 hours dark with an absolute absolute weight of 3.22 g, an absolute length of 5.59 cm, a daily growth rate of 12.74. % , and 92% passability
