Abstract

This study seeks to assess the execution of the Independent Learning-Independent Campus (MBKM) program at Universitas Cahaya Prima (UNCAPI) Bone and to identify the facilitating and obstructive elements affecting its implementation at UNCAPI Bone. The research employs qualitative methods, utilizing data collection approaches such as observation, interviews, and documentation. This study involved seven informants. The findings of this study indicate that the execution of the MBKM program at UNCAPI Bone, assessed through the indicators of communication, resources, disposition, and bureaucratic structure, has been conducted "effectively." From a communication perspective, there is effective interaction between professors and students. From a resource perspective, lecturers as facilitators offer guidance, support, and inspiration to students. The lecturers exhibit a supportive disposition and maintain a favorable outlook on the execution of the MBKM program. Lecturers have elucidated the mechanisms, systems, and procedures of the MBKM program to students from a bureaucratic structural perspective. The facilitating elements for the execution of the MBKM program include the endorsement from universities, the favorable outlook of lecturers, and the proactive engagement of students in the MBKM initiative. Concurrently, the impediments include inadequate value conversion, insufficient socialization, disorganized human resource development, and a continued lack of student enthusiasm in the MBKM program.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the role of entrepreneurship education in fostering entrepreneurial interest among students in the Sharia Economics study program, Faculty of Sharia and Islamic Economics, Tomakaka University, Mamuju. It also aims to identify supporting and inhibiting factors in starting a business. This study uses a qualitative research method with data collection through interviews with students who have received entrepreneurship education through entrepreneurship courses. The results show that entrepreneurship education provided through entrepreneurship courses can foster students' entrepreneurial interest. This is indicated by growing self-confidence in students, the ability to think creatively, being more able to face challenges and exploit opportunities, and increasing insight into the business world. Supporting factors in starting a business are interest, motivation, mentality, and talent, as well as external factors such as market opportunities, capital, economic conditions, and family support. Inhibiting factors in starting a business are fear of failure, lack of confidence, lack of capital, lack of mentor guidance, and minimal insight into the world of entrepreneurship.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the learning interests of grade VIII students at SMP Muhammadiyah 2 Tarakan City and the factors that affect them. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with the main informants, namely grade VIII students, subject teachers, and homeroom teachers. Data sources were obtained from direct observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation of learning activities. The data analysis technique uses the Miles and Huberman interactive model, namely data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawn. The results showed that students' learning interests were in the medium category, influenced by internal factors such as motivation, perception of the material, and curiosity; as well as external factors such as teachers' teaching methods, the role of parents, and learning environment conditions. Teachers who can create an interactive and fun learning atmosphere are proven to increase students' interest in learning. Family support is also a significant factor in encouraging students' active involvement in the learning process.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of self-management techniques on the learning discipline of eighth-grade students at Frater Don Bosco Middle School, Tarakan. Learning discipline remains a significant obstacle in the school environment. Self-management techniques were chosen as an intervention because they can train students to manage their time, behavior, and learning responsibilities independently. This study used a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design of the nonequivalent control group type. The sample consisted of two classes, namely the experimental class and the control class, which were selected using a purposive sampling technique. The instrument used was a learning discipline questionnaire. The results showed a significant increase in student learning discipline after being given self-management treatment, compared to the control class. This finding indicates that self-management techniques have a positive effect on improving student learning discipline. The implication of this study is the importance of implementing self-management strategies in the learning process to support optimal student academic achievement.

Abstract

In recent years, the eating behaviors of Generation Z teenagers have become a growing concern for health educators, parents, and policymakers due to the rising influence of digital media, shifting cultural norms, and school environments. These factors, alongside gender and school type, shape how teenagers make food choices and perceive their health. This study investigated gender and school-type differences in food preferences, dietary habits, perceived health outcomes, and the influence of social, cultural, and digital factors among Generation Z teenagers in selected secondary schools in Anambra State, Nigeria. The study used a descriptive survey design to cover the perceptions among 150 Gen Z teenagers in selected public and private secondary schools in Anambra State, Nigeria. A multistage sampling method ensured balanced representation. Data were collected using a validated and reliable questionnaire (Cronbach’s Alpha = 0.84), reviewed by experts. Trained assistants administered the instrument during school hours. ANOVA and Tests of Between-Subjects Effects analyzed hypotheses using SPSS version 25 at a 0.05 significance level. The result showed no significant difference in food preferences among Gen Z teenagers based on gender and school type (F = 1.309, p = .274). However, school type significantly influenced how food preferences affected daily dietary habits (F = 4.580, p = .034). There was no significant relationship between dietary choices and perceived health outcomes (F = 0.286, p = .594), nor did social, cultural, and digital influences significantly shape food preferences (F = 0.695, p = .406). Female students in private schools reported higher influence from external factors (Mean = 3.10), while males showed more stable patterns across both school types. The study concludes that while school type plays a role in dietary behavior, gender differences are less pronounced. It recommends targeted nutrition education and health promotion strategies, particularly in public schools, to improve adolescent food practices and well-being.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI)-based technology has presented new challenges in treaty law, especially regarding the validity of legal relations that occur without face-to-face meetings. This study uses a normative-empirical method to analyze the application of treaty law in the context of the AI ecosystem. The purpose of this study is to understand the relationship between the legal terms of agreements based on Article 1320 of the Civil Code and the practice of agreements made through AI-based digital media. The data sources came from a literature study of laws and regulations, jurisprudence, and online treaty practices. Data collection techniques are carried out through literature studies and participatory observation of the implementation of AI in community legal interactions. The data analysis technique uses the law enforcement approach and the concept of recht vacuum to assess whether there is a legal vacuum. The results of the study show that agreements made through AI are still declared valid and binding as long as they meet the legal elements of the agreement according to the Civil Code, except for certain types of agreements that legally require face-to-face meetings such as land buying and selling, notary deeds, and grants, in accordance with the provisions of Law Number 1 of 2024 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions
