Abstract

Malnutrition in children is still a public health problem in various countries, especially low- and middle-income countries, especially the problem of undernutrition (wasting, stunting, underweight). Specific nutritional intervention strategies are needed to improve the nutritional status of children under the age of five. This literature review study was conducted to summarize various nutritional education interventions that have been carried out in the last 3 years and their relationship to improving knowledge and nutritional status of toddlers. The literature search was sourced from various electronic databases (ProQuest, Science Direct, and Springer Link). The type of research used in this literature review is experimental research so that the differences in the effects of the nutritional education interventions carried out can be seen. The main results obtained are that nutritional education has an effect on increasing the knowledge of mothers and caregivers of toddlers regarding the necessary nutritional science and also has an effect on the average z-score and even reducing the number of malnutrition. Providing adequate additional food can strengthen the positive impact on improving the nutritional status of toddlers which runs linearly with the provision of nutritional education. Nutrition education also has an effect on increasing knowledge of the importance of monitoring growth and food diversity at the household level which also has an indirect effect on the nutritional status of toddlers. Nutrition education can be done with several methods and nutritional content according to needs and targets. More nutritional education interventions are needed with appropriate adjustments to methods, needs, and targets as an effort to prevent and reduce malnutrition rates in toddlers.

Abstract

The Fourth Industrial Revolution is a condition in the 21st century when there are massive changes in various fields through the combination of technologies. The education sector has also been exposed to the influence of technological digitalization which has brought positive and negative influences. Dalam dunia pendidikan, learning media is an inseparable part and it is an integration of the learning methods used. This study aims to describe the role of print media and electronic media in health promotion learning. The research method used was qualitative and data collection was carried out by literature study. Results of research on the use of media in the learning process can improve the quality and learning outcomes and is determined by the ability of the teacher to choose the media to be used. Some considerations that need to be made to choose media in learning are; consideration of students or goals, consideration of learning objectives, consideration of learning strategy, consideration of ability in designing and using media, consideration of cost, consideration of facilities and infrastructure, and consideration of efficiency and effectiveness. It is suggested that the promotion carried out is adjusted to the target, for which the health promotion carried out must pay attention to various situations/places/settings considering the level of health promotion targets, namely primary, secondary, and tertiary targets.

Abstract

Preeclampsia is a serious pregnancy complication characterized by hypertension and proteinuria after 20 weeks of gestation. It is a leading cause of maternal and fetal morbidity and mortality worldwide. Various factors contribute to its development, including genetic predispositions and environmental influences such as air pollution. Urban areas, with their high levels of particulate matter and gaseous pollutants, are increasingly being recognized for their detrimental effects on maternal health. This study aims to analyze the relationship between exposure to urban air pollution and the risk of preeclampsia in third-trimester pregnant women. A quantitative observational approach is used, employing data from peer-reviewed journal articles published between 2020 and 2024. The analysis focuses on the correlation between air pollution exposure, especially fine particulate matter (PM2.5), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), and sulfur dioxide (SO2), and the incidence of preeclampsia. Findings from multiple studies indicate a significant association between elevated air pollution levels and an increased risk of preeclampsia, particularly among women exposed to high concentrations of PM2.5 during the third trimester. The evidence suggests that air pollution exacerbates vascular dysfunction, leading to increased blood pressure and placental circulation impairment, which are key factors in the development of preeclampsia. These results highlight the urgent need for public health interventions to reduce air pollution exposure in urban areas, especially for pregnant women in their third trimester.
