Abstract

The importance of work discipline and job satisfaction in improving employee performance at the Class II B Jombang Correctional Institution, especially administrative employees. This study aims to identify and analyze the effect of work discipline and job satisfaction on employee performance at the institution. The research method used is a quantitative approach with explanatory research type. The study population consisted of 48 administrative employees at the Class II B Jombang Correctional Institution, with a saturated sample technique involving the entire population. Data were collected through a questionnaire with a 5-point Likert scale and analyzed using multiple linear regression with the help of SPSS software version 25. The results showed that work discipline and job satisfaction have a positive and significant influence on employee performance. Good work discipline and high job satisfaction significantly improve employee performance at Class II B Jombang Correctional Institution. The Adjusted R Square value of 0.256 indicates that the work discipline and job satisfaction variables together explain 25.6% of the variability in employee performance, while the rest is influenced by other factors outside this study.

Abstract

Since the transmigration program to Air Talas Village, Muara Enim Regency, in 1987, the majority of the community has been cultivating Siamese tangerines (Citrus tangerina). As a result, this village is known as a producer of Siamese tangerines, with an annual production exceeding 300 tons. However, this high production has yet to be matched with good sales, leading to an oversupply and a decline in selling prices. The presence of Citrus Vein Phloem Degeneration (CVPD) disease poses a threat to tangerine production as it can degrade the quality of the fruit. This situation can reduce the income of farmers and women's groups processing Siamese tangerine derivative products. These conditions prompted the authors' team to initiate the Air Talas Tourism Village Agribusiness Program (Anggrek Dewata) to assist the village community in cultivating Siamese tangerines and marketing their processed products. In its second year, Anggrek Dewata is strengthening the beneficiary groups, namely the Tunas Hijau Farmers Group and the Subur Makmur Women's Farmers Group, to address the agribusiness issues of Siamese tangerines.

Abstract

The success of the Waste Bank in reducing organic and inorganic waste in Makartitama Village, OKU, has inspired PT Pertamina Hulu Energi Ogan Komering to develop the Sustainable Waste Management Group Sinergi PHE Ogan Komering (KOMPAS LESTARI). The primary focus of this program is to utilize organic waste for cultivating Black Soldier Fly (BSF) maggots, which are then used in the production of pellets or alternative fish feed for freshwater aquaculture and liquid organic fertilizer for organic vegetable cultivation. In 2023, the BSF-based products, initially used by the beneficiary groups of Kompas Lestari, are being developed for commercialization. In its third year, Kompas Lestari is embarking on a business incubation phase for processed maggot products. This phase includes training in product diversification, marketing strategies, and registration for Home Industry Food (P-IRT).

Abstract

Since its inception in 2021 at SMP Negeri 2 Tungkal Ilir, the Synergy Towards a Healthy and Civilized School (Simba Sehati) program has successfully produced environmental cadres through the concept of an environmentally friendly school. Students have become familiar with and skilled in applying Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS), environmental conservation efforts, and organic farming. The skills acquired include waste bank management, maggot cultivation from organic waste, wastewater treatment, biopore hole creation, hydroponic cultivation of Family Medicinal Plants (TOGA), fish farming in buckets ("budidamber"), and public health. This year, the Simba Sehati program is being implemented at the village level under the Synergy of Ramba Field Towards a Clean and Healthy Keluang (Simba Kuat) program, with the village community as the beneficiaries. In its development, the Simba Kuat program involves environmental cadres actively transferring knowledge to community groups. The program aims to improve the health and environmental quality of Keluang Village and create opportunities for additional income for the residents.

Abstract

Flooding in front of the Sidoarjo Class 1A Religious Court Office road happens frequently during the rainy season. It disrupts traffic and damages the roads. Flooding is caused by the condition of the drainage channels, which are not performing efficiently due to sediment barriers such as garbage, and some channels appear to be damaged. The existing channels can no longer accommodate the water discharge caused by the rain, thus water overflows from the drainage channels, flooding the main road. These conditions show the importance of handling drainage problems. One of the ways that can be taken is to evaluate the capacity of existing drainage channels. In this study, the evaluation of drainage channel capacity was carried out using the Hydrological and Hydraulics Analysis method. The purpose of this study was to determine the amount of drainage channel storage capacity required to resolve flooding. The results of this study showed that the design rainfall obtained based on the Log Pearson Type III method was 116.583 mm/day with a 5-year return period. The design flood discharge in channel T1 was 0.717 m3/second, while the capacity of the existing tertiary channel T1 = 0.009 m3/second, so the discharge that overflows from the existing channel T1 was 0.708 m3/second. The capacity of the secondary channel S1 was 2.604 m3 /second, whereas the capacity of the primary channel P1 was 43.043 m3 /second. The capacity of the T1 channel was known to be unable to accommodate the design flood discharge. Therefore, alternative treatments were required to ensure that the T1 channel could accommodate the designed flood discharge.

Abstract

This study aims to understand and assess the impact of the Implementation of Employee Training & Development Programs on Employee Performance (Case Study of PT. Federal Internasional Finance (FIFGROUP) Batu City Branch), both individually and overall. The research method used is quantitative. The data collection technique applied is a questionnaire. The data analysis methods employed include the measurement of instruments, encompassing validity and reliability testing, classical assumption testing, which covers normality, linearity, multicollinearity, and heteroscedasticity tests, as well as hypothesis testing, which includes multiple linear regression analysis, t-test, F-test, and determination coefficient. The findings of the study indicate that both variables, namely the employee training & development programs, have an individual impact on employee performance (case study of PT. Federal Internasional Finance (FIFGROUP) Batu City Branch). Additionally, the employee training & development program variables also have an overall impact on employee performance (case study of PT. Federal Internasional Finance (FIFGROUP) Batu City Branch).
