Abstract

Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are a strategic sector in driving Indonesia's economic growth. However, low financial literacy remains a major challenge in effective business financial management. Based on previous findings, many MSMEs lack sufficient understanding in preparing cash flow statements and systematically planning business finances. This Community Service Activity (PKM) aims to enhance the financial literacy of MSMEs in Kembangan Sub-district through training on cash flow management and business financial planning. The methods employed include interactive lectures, group discussions, and hands-on practice in preparing simple financial reports. The results of the implementation showed an increase in participants' understanding of the importance of financial record-keeping, as well as their ability to create business financial projections. With this improvement, SMEs are expected to be able to manage cash flow more effectively and plan their business finances sustainably.

Abstract

The need for environmentally friendly products that are safe for health is increasing, including natural soaps that are free of harmful chemicals. Kembangan sub-district has abundant potential resources such as palm or coconut oil as the basis for making soap, but has not been optimally utilized. This community service activity aims to empower the community through training in making natural soap with business-economic value. The implementation method starts from a needs survey, preparation of training modules, soap making practices, to marketing strategies. The training participants consisted of micro and small-scale home-based businesses. The evaluation results showed active participation reaching 90%, with 80% of participants successfully making quality soap and 70% interested in developing a natural soap business. The main obstacles are limited tools, materials, and mentoring time. However, through collaboration with business partners and the government, this training can support economic independence based on MSMEs and environmental conservation. This program also encourages the formation of new business communities and increases community capacity in digital production and marketing. In conclusion, this training is effective in improving skills and opening up business opportunities based on local potential in a sustainable manner in Kembangan District.

Abstract

Hypertension is the most common health problem in the world. Approximately one million people worldwide, or one in every four people, suffer from this disease. Hypertension not only gradually reduces the severity of the condition but also contributes to the development of other diseases that cause increased blood pressure and organ damage, such as stroke in the brain, coronary heart disease in the heart, and heart muscle damage. Management of hypertensive patients can be done with a non-pharmacological approach. One traditional medicine that can lower blood pressure is red ginger, which is one of the herbal therapies for treating hypertension. The success of healthcare workers in carrying out their role is expected to help patients overcome hypertension after being given intervention. Based on the results of community service activities in Gampong Aron, Kuta Baro, Aceh Besar, it can be concluded that the community has gained understanding in identifying hypertension and ways to treat hypertension with herbal remedies.

Abstract

Digital leadership style emphasizes the leader's ability to understand information technology and digital systems, data-driven decision making and analysis, quick response to environmental and technological changes, emphasis on information transparency, innovation, creative thinking, and inspiring change. This scientific article aims to conceptualize the adoption of digital leadership in coaching against misconduct of Polri members at Metro Jaya Regional Police. The method used is a qualitative approach with descriptive analytics to provide detailed descriptions of occurring situations. The data used includes primary and secondary data. Data collection techniques include observation, interviews, and document studies. The author tests data accuracy and validity using triangulation techniques. Research results show that leadership at Metro Jaya Regional Police still faces several weaknesses such as being militaristic in nature, lacking measurable future digital vision, limited managerial capabilities, insight and understanding of technology-based transparency concepts, limited mastery of digital-based facilities and infrastructure, minimal problem-solving policing capabilities, and insufficient attention to digital development and environmental directions. Strategies that can be applied in implementing digital leadership in coaching against misconduct of Polri members at Metro Jaya Regional Police include establishing vision, mission, and strategic direction of digitalization in member coaching, building digital systems that support coaching and early detection of violations, improving personnel capabilities in using and managing digital systems, operating digital systems gradually and integrated into coaching processes, assessing implementation effectiveness and conducting continuous improvement, and making digital leadership an embedded work culture.

Abstract

The gap between demand and supply of local food in urban areas like Batam City triggers vulnerability to nutritional access, especially for lower-middle-income communities. In response to this challenge, PT PLN Batam - PLTGU Tanjung Uncang Unit initiated the SEHATI TABUROSI program (Environmental Synergy and Inclusive Food Security) as a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) model based on community empowerment. This study aims to explore the implementation and impact of the SEHATI TABUROSI program, which integrates biofloc fish farming technology, waste bank management, and strengthening women's roles in local food security. Using a qualitative case study approach, data was collected through interviews, observations, and documentation in Tanjung Uncang Village, Batam. Results show that the program successfully increased tilapia production up to 210 kg per cycle, strengthened women's economic capacity, and supported supplementary feeding programs (PMT) for vulnerable children. Organic and inorganic waste was processed into feed, fertilizer, and pond construction materials, reflecting circular economy practices. In addition to resource efficiency, direct participation of PLN Batam - PLTGU Tanjung Uncang Unit employees in technical competency transfer also strengthened program sustainability. This holistic intervention model proved effective in combining economic, social, and environmental aspects, and has the potential to be replicated in other urban areas with similar challenges.

Abstract

The retail business does not only consider profits, but also social responsibility towards consumers and society. Businesses must realise that the choices they make when purchasing goods can affect the company's reputation and consumer trust. Honesty, transparency, and fairness must be upheld in every transaction. The partners involved in the current community service (PKM) activities are engaged in the textile retail industry and are located in the Tanah Abang market. The main problem lies in the partners' lack of knowledge about the legal and ethical aspects of running a business. The activities were carried out through training related to legal and ethical issues. The training was conducted online via the Zoom platform. Through this activity, it is hoped that the problems arising in the partners' businesses will be resolved, and the partners will be able to increase their knowledge of ethical practices that consider the social and environmental impacts of their business when purchasing goods. Based on the results of this activity, it is recommended that business actors pay attention to legal and ethical aspects in the process of buying merchandise, in order to avoid legal risks and maintain good relationships with consumers and suppliers. As such, they should be able to uphold ethical values towards customers.

Abstract

The purpose of this activity is to provide guidance on the application of retail communication mix as a marketing strategy that can increase the competitiveness of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in the digital era. In the context of increasingly fierce business competition, MSMEs are required to be more creative and innovative in reaching consumers. Retail communication mix, which consists of various elements such as new media and traditional media, is considered one of the keys to the success of a business. The activity was carried out with MSME partners engaged in the food sector. The main problem faced by partners was a lack of knowledge about using retail communication to maintain their competitiveness and existence. The methods used were initial observation and training. This activity is expected to contribute to the development of the partners' knowledge, particularly in the fields of management and retail marketing. In addition, the results of this activity are also expected to provide recommendations for partners in designing effective retail marketing strategies to increase their business competitiveness in the digital era.

Abstract

Cerebrovascular disease is a condition in which rapidly developing clinical signs in the form of focal and global neurological disorders appear. These signs can worsen and persist for more than 24 hours and can cause death. The aim of this activity is to increase public understanding of how to prevent this disease and reduce its complications. The venue for this event is Kuwue Montasik village in Aceh Besar. The Kuwue village community, consisting of 18 people, attended in person. This community service method was implemented through training and discussion. The activity began on 20 August 2025 at 10:00 a.m. and lasted until completion. Starting with participant data, the activity continued with a presentation of the objectives and material on the risk factors for this disease, better known as stroke, its triggers, and its complications. The activity showed that the community understood low-fibre diets, low physical activity, smoking, and excessive salt use in cooking. It was recommended that the community improve their lifestyle, diet, and rest patterns, and families should continue to provide strong motivation to family members who are vulnerable to danger. In addition, the responsibility of health workers to provide consistent education should be increased.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PkM) aims to enhance the added value of catfish by processing it into nuggets as an alternative food product in Duwet Village, Tumpang District, Malang Regency. The main problems faced by the community partners include low innovation in fish processing, limited access to technology, and high unemployment among the productive age group. The activities were carried out through a series of stages including socialization, entrepreneurship training, production practice, provision of production equipment, and continuous mentoring. Evaluation methods were conducted before, during, and after the activities using interviews and questionnaires. The results of the program show that the community's skills have significantly improved, catfish nuggets were successfully developed with more hygienic and marketable quality, and entrepreneurial motivation emerged among participants. This program has a positive impact on community economic empowerment, creates new business opportunities, and supports the diversification of food products based on local potential.

Abstract

Illegal tin mining in Tembelok Sea, West Bangka, has caused massive environmental impacts, such as coral reef damage, a 30% decrease in fish catches, and triggered unrest and social conflicts in coastal communities. This exploratory qualitative research aims to analyze collaboration strategies between the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and the community in preventing such illegal activities. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document studies, then analyzed using the Law Enforcement Theory, Collaborative Policing, and Crime Prevention approaches. The research results show that joint patrols are an effective integrated strategy, integrating primary prevention approaches (socialization, “Alert Fishermen” training, drone/GIS technology), secondary (focused patrols, community reports), and tertiary (firm law enforcement, environmental rehabilitation). This collaboration is driven by inter-agency synergy (Polri, Indonesian Navy, Bakamla), active community participation, and open communication. However, challenges such as overlapping authorities, limited resources, intimidation of reporters, and lack of integrated data platforms still hinder its effectiveness. To ensure sustainability, it is recommended to establish a permanent task force, develop anonymous digital reporting applications, and launch alternative economic empowerment programs, such as seaweed cultivation. In conclusion, the Polri-community collaboration has the potential to create an inclusive and sustainable monitoring system to maintain the preservation of marine ecosystems and the socio-economic stability of the Tembelok coastal community.
