Abstract

Agriculture tools necessary for increasing food security in Indonesia. An automatic spraying for plant became one of the tool that help in pot plant maintenance. This study was developing a prototype of automatic line follower robot for spraying plant. Designing a new construction and adding a line follower sensor, this robot could move between plant pots with guidance of black line. Main chassis of this robot made from 3 mm aluminum plate with 50 cm length and 20 cm width. Control of this robot using Arduino Uno as microcontroller that could control the movement of the robot and also could control movement of nozzle and flow rate. Performance testing of this robot held inside the room with concrete floor and placed on the white fabric with black line as a guidance and sign to stop and spray. As the result, average linier speed for this robot was 0,7 m/s and flow rate for spraying was 8,9 ml/s with 89,5% accuracy.

Abstract

Competition in the industrial world requires companies to always improve efficiency in the production process. The use of communication technology in the monitoring process is one way to reduce effort in monitoring equipment. This study aims to create a mobile phone-based online control and monitoring system for induction motor parameters in the industry without interfering with the motor's electrical network. The monitoring system is carried out by monitoring the vibration and temperature of the induction motor using the GY-521 MPU-6050 sensor connected to the NodeMCU ESP8266 as the control device. For the data computation process to obtain rotational parameters, the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) function is applied to transform the vibration data from the accelerometer into the frequency domain. In the data collection process, 250 data samples were captured in 1 second which were formed from vibrations of the X, Y and Z direction motors. Manual ON/OFF control of the electric motor and automatic OFF was carried out when a spike in the vibration frequency of the motor was detected. The test was carried out with four variations of rotation conditions. The test results show that the rpm speed of the motor can be obtained based on the difference in the frequency of motor vibration. This data is then sent online to observer technician via the Telegram application installed on the mobile phone device. The system performance as a whole shows quite good performance both in terms of equipment placement, data processing and delivery.

Abstract

This report’s primary purpose is to provide a detailed overview of the sign language interpreting gloves project. It starts with an introduction, background and history of the deaf community to better understand the needs and issues of the D/deaf community. In the following literature review, the reader will have the chance to learn about the modern-days challenges faced by hearing-impaired people, broadly explained and elaborated. The psychosocial impact of assistive technology and its effectiveness in improving life quality is discussed next. A lack of new technologies assisting the D/deaf community is not hardly noticed. As elaborated in the previously mentioned chapters, sign language interpreting services are expensive and sign language interpreters cannot be easily booked. These and other findings gathered from the research and also by a survey conducted on a group of deaf individuals indicate that sign language interpreting gloves are the new free interpreters-to-be, and the answer to acquiring the so-wanted independence. Evaluated to have such a significant impact, building this assistive technology that can be easily accessed is the project's focus. The working principles, block diagram and flowchart are also described in the methodology section, where building, not one but a pair of gloves is also documented step by step. Finally, results, discussion and future work will tell us more about the importance of interpreting gloves to close the gap between both hearing and deaf communities.

Abstract

The capacity of Indonesian medical personnel, especially pulmonary and radiology specialists, is still far from the proportionate ratio of Indonesia's population. This limitation is one of Indonesia's main issues in realizing adequate health services for lung sufferers. Furthermore, the diagnosis process is one of the keys to obtaining appropriate and fast treatment procedures for sufferers. This paper will review the research conducted by the PPTIK ITB team in developing a tool for diagnosing lung disease with the help of Deep Learning. In this study, deep learning models play a role in classifying diseases based on an X-Ray image of the lungs. At this stage, the performance of three deep learning models, ResNet50, ResNet101, and VGG19, will be compared in classifying COVID-19, Pneumonia, and tuberculosis. The performance metrics to be compared include accuracy, precision, recall, and F1 score. The test results show that, on average, the VGG19 model gives the best results on the four performance metrics compared to the other two models.

Abstract

After assessing existing problems in food wastage and identifying if any solutions pre-exist, this eventually sparked the idea for developing a solution to detect food quality and reduce food waste. This was shown by doing a thorough study in order to fully comprehend the problem of food wastage. According to the study results, the leading cause/causes of food wastage are that most family members do not complete their meal and do not check the fridge, freezer, or cabinets before going shopping. In hindsight, this preliminary study aided in the creation of a solution that might aid in the reduction of food waste by identifying the food quality of fruits and vegetables and informing the person if it can be kept or should be consumed. The solution proposed was to train Pepper, a humanoid robot, to detect the food quality of fruits and vegetables using image recognition in order to decrease food waste.
