Abstract

Constipation is a common problem and can cause serious problems. Constipation is a condition characterized by changes in the consistency of the stool to become hard, large in size, decreased in frequency or difficulty in defecation. Constipation is often characterized by symptoms of anxiety when defecation due to pain during defecation. Constipation can cause severe stress for sufferers due to discomfort. Another impact due to functional constipation is activity disturbances such as stomach cramps, decreased quality of life through decreased productivity. One of the prevention efforts is training and counseling the elderly regarding constipation. For this reason, the understanding of the elderly regarding constipation must be improved. This community service activity was carried out in the village of Lambawe. The implementation of this activity in September 2019. The target of this activity is the elderly. The method used in the implementation of this activity is the lecture and demonstration method. The results obtained in this activity are the target of understanding the material about constipation. It is suggested to the puskesmas to be able to work together in providing counseling related to education on constipation so that the elderly can understand the importance of preventing and overcoming constipation.

Abstract

Effort of the optimalization the growth and development of children required adequate nutritional intake. Breast milk and complementary feeding were the main sources in supporting child growth. The timing to starting complementary feeding greated affects the quality of a child's health. The practice of giving complementary feeding early can increased the risk of high incidence of infections and growth disorders. Children who did not got optimal complementary feeding, 6.5 times more likely to experience growth disorders. Lack of understanding in the management of infant and child food, low education, socioeconomic factors were factors that cause malnutrition and infection problems in children under five, especially under the age of 24 months. The purpose of this community service was increased the knowledge of breastfeeding mothers and mothers who have children under the age of 2 (two) years about the Management of Complementary Feeding. The form of community service activitie was socialization method. The socialization method through face-to-face used presentation media and leaflets. The pretest was carried out before the extension activities with the result that the mother's level of knowledge about the management of complimentary feeding before the delivery of the extension material was in the Poor category with the average value of the evaluation results reaching 50.8%. The results of the posttest after being given the extension material showed an increase in the mother's knowledge about the management of complementary feeding with an average evaluation value of 85%, which was in the good category. There was an increase of 34.2% towards the increase in mother's knowledge about the management of complementary feeding. The result of this community service that providing information about the management of complementary feeding was very necessary so that breastfeeding mothers having good knowledge about the management of complementary feeding and can contribute to changes in mother's behavior in dealing with the stages of giving complementary feedingto their children. Then, giving the right complementary feeding can had been an impact on health optimal child development.

Abstract

The main problem in the health sector lately is Non-Communicable Diseases (NCD). NCD causes death due to complications they experience. NCD in the form of hypertension, hyperuresemia and Diabetes Mellitus Type 2 (DMT2), and others. Consumption of herbal ingredients contributes non-pharmacologically to the occurrence of non-communicable diseases. Initial screening of this non-communicable disease and consumption of herbal ingredients is one of the prevention of further complications from this non-communicable disease. The purpose of community service in the form of refreshing non-communicable disease screens is very useful for the community in the context of preventive and promative NCD. This refreshment was carried out in conjunction with community activities who underwent healthy walks in order to enliven the 77th Indonesian Independence Day, there were 57 contestants registered for health checks. The method, which is carried out with a problem approach to the community, is carried out from 07.30 to 10.30 WIB. The results of the abdimas found that there were 16.2% of the population experienced hypertension, 42% had hyperuresemia and 19% experienced hyperglycemia, and 2.9% of the population consumed herbal ingredients. The next abdimas recommendation is to educate PTM and herbal ingredients based on local wisdom.

Abstract

The spread of covid-19 in indonesia is on the rise. the provision of a covid-19 vaccine from the government is still one of the efforts to prevent and control the transmission of the covid-19 disease. the government continues to intensify the implementation of the covid-19 vaccine, especially the third dose of covid-19 vaccine (booster) for eligible indonesians. the purpose of this community service is to provide an understanding of the third dose of covid-19 vaccination (booster) with the lecture method of distributing flyer, leaflet containing knowledge about the third dose of vaccination (booster). in this activity, a total of those who have undergone the third dose of covid-19 vaccination (booster) starting from the leadership and employees of pt. lingga cargo as many as 7 employees (25%) of the 28 employees. the next hope is to continue to strive to accelerate the third dose of covid-19 vaccination (booster) program by providing education related to vaccination and collaborating with related parties both across programs and across sectors and also reminding the public to continue to follow the health protocol even though they get the third dose of vaccine. vaccination is one of the important components in the pandemic handling strategy to reduce the risk of severe illness and death from covid-19.

Abstract

Globally, 52% of pregnant women in developing countries are anemic. This figure is greater than the rate of anemia in pregnant women in industrialized countries which is only 20%. The countries with the highest prevalence of anemia were India (88%), followed by Africa (50%), Latin America (40%) and the Caribbean (30%). The WHO report in 2008, the incidence of anemia in Southeast Asia was 48.2%, Indonesia was ranked 58th with an anemia rating of 44.3% in pregnant women. This community service activity is in the form of HB checks, counseling on the impact of anemia and pregnant women can use the compliance application to consume blood-added tablets in Penyengat Olak Village, Jambi Luar Kota, Muaro Jambi Regency in 2021. The results of this community service are a minimum HB level of 7.3 g/dl and a maximum of 11.2 g/dl before using the compliance monitoring application to consume FE tablets, the implementation of counseling on the impact of anemia on pregnant women in Penyengat Olak Village in 2021 to 30 pregnant women, as many as 24 (80%) respondents were obedient in consuming FE tablets and levels Minimum HB 7.6 gr/dl and maximum 12.2 gr/dl after using the compliance monitoring application taking FE tablets. It is hoped that this community service activity can increase the knowledge of pregnant women about anemia in pregnancy, increase the compliance of pregnant women in consuming FE tablets, and increase the HB levels of pregnant women who obediently consume FE tablets.

Abstract

Stunting is a condition where toddlers have a body length or height that is less than their age. Stunting can have an impact on growth and development both in the long term and, so it needs prevention or treatment. Posyandu cadres play an important role in preventing and overcoming stunting in the community. This activity aimed to provide education to posyandu cadres about early detection of stunting, stimulation of growth  and development and balanced nutrition of toddlers. The method used were  education through lectures and discussions, simulation practices, and mentoring cadres to families of stunting toddlers. The activity was attended by 10 cadres and assistance to 20 mothers of stunting toddlers. The data obtained showed an increase in the knowledge and skills of cadres and mothers of stunting toddlers regarding early detection of stunting, stimulation of growth and development, and balanced nutrition in toddlers. Empowerment of posyandu cadres needs to be carried out on an ongoing basis, especially as an effort to improve the knowledge and skills of cadres, as an effort to prevent and deal with stunting.

Abstract

Various efforts have been made by the government to reduce the number of young marriages, but this problem still exists. Provision of information needs to be done to increase students' knowledge about sexual/reproductive health, prevention of premarital sexual behavior and sexually transmitted infections. Provision of information can be done by providing direct information and other promotional media such as distributing leaflets. Universities can contribute to efforts to prevent the risk of young marriage by making health promotion efforts through education to students. Care for society program to increase knowledge about reproductive health, premarital sexual health, prevent risky sexual behavior and sexually transmitted infections in adolescents. Promotion efforts can be packaged by providing education with the theme of this activity being "Effectiveness of premarital sexual and reproductive health education on students' knowledge".   The implementation of education proved to be effective in increasing the knowledge of adolescents, before being given education the mean±SD 7.43±2.02, and after being given education the mean±SD 8.66±2.65. There is a difference in mean±SD before and after that is 1.23±2.06 with p-value=0.000 (p<0.05). Education is proven to increase students' knowledge about reproductive health, premarital sexual health, preventing risky sexual behavior and sexually transmitted infections. The school can coordinate with the health service center  to carry out advanced programs.

Abstract

Kindergarten (TK) education is an early stage of education as children who are experiencing a developmental transition really need an approach that can overcome the problems experienced, one of which is implementing the COVID-19 pandemic health protocol such as the use of good and correct masks. The purpose of this activity is to help improve social skills such as communication skills, through community service, community empowerment programs at Mawar Kindergarten, Gambut District through storytelling with a focus on doing fairy tales to children in order to be able to respond to the use of masks properly and correctly. The method of this activity is a fairy tale through storytelling to students with the title "Say No to the Covid-19 Virus, Let's Wear a Mask" then after telling the story the children are chosen to be Covid-19 Exterminator Heroes. The design of a storytelling program by involving children in Mawar Kindergarten so as to increase children's awareness in the use of masks is good and right. Consider to revise the structurethat children can and understand how to follow health protocols, especially the use of good and correct masks and good hand washing using storytelling. The conclusion of this community service activity is that children and even teachers are able to make changes in behavior towards the use of masks to avoid being exposed to covid-19.

Abstract

Repvit (Role Play Virtualitation) is an intervention effort to overcome the problem of stunting by providing nutrition education to cadres, because the situation of adapting to new habits in the Covid-19 era requires personnel who can directly move the community as the spearhead of health services at the household and village levels, not forming too many crowds in the community as part of the anticipation of preventing the transmission of covid-19, so that the implementation of Repvit for cadres can effectively prevent stunting toddlers in the Alang River area. The Alang River is one of the riverbank areas in the Banjar Regency area, most of the residents make a living as farmers in the cultivation of ponds, ponds, karamba, rice fields/rice fields and floating nets. This condition makes the Alang River one of the areas that are able to provide the region's food needs from these natural products. Based on data from the Health Office of South Kalimantan Province, it is known that the highest prevalence of stunting is in the Banjar Regency area. Most of the work of mothers as housewives and fathers as fish farmers. With this background and characteristics, the purpose of the service is the implementation of repvit (role play virtualization) aimed at cadres of the Alang River area. The results of educating cadres, obtained differences in knowledge before and after education about stunting, causal factors, and local food modification skills.

Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is a pain in the lower abdomen during menstruation due to the increased production of prostaglandins and their release from the endometrium during menstruation, causing uncoordinated and irregular uterine contractions resulting in pain. The incidence of dysmenorrhea in women of reproductive age ranges from 45%-95%, and primary dysmenorrhea experienced by adolescent girls is 60%-75%. Dysmenorrhea problems experienced by young women feel uncomfortable, concentration decreases, tension and anxiety cause disruption of daily activities. Efforts to overcome menstrual pain can be done by breathing relaxation, currently, there are still many who do not know the technique of breathing relaxation, so the team provides education about techniques in breathing relaxation to reduce pain during menstruation. The purpose of this community service activity is to provide education to young women using a lecture, discussion, and question and answer approach, the media used in the form of leaflets, this activity was carried out on December 20, 2021. This activity was attended by 40 young women with a pretest score of 60% knowledge after Health education is carried out the results of knowledge of adolescent girls increased to 90% of adolescents understanding breathing relaxation to reduce pain in menstruation. Community service activities are carried out regularly to provide knowledge for young women about reproductive health so that young women can understand and maintain their reproductive health
