Abstract

Case management ini one of the methods to deal with the problems that occur in the elderly. PSTW Budi Luhur jambi is a social body that cares about the elderly problem by providing health service facilities.This research is a qualitative approach. The technique used by the researcher to select the informant is purposive sampling technique, where the informant is chosen based on certain consideration and considered as the right person in giving yhe information according to the need of the informant.The result of case management reseach that is applied in PSTW Budi Luhur Jambi is very diverse starting from health problems, social problems and spirituality of  elderly people. The activities undertaken with group guidance, conseling conducted by competent and counseling  can be done by students who do clinical practice in PSTW Budi Luhur jambi with guidance officer lecturer supervisor. The case management phase ini PSTW Budi Luhur Jambi on the elderly problem start from assesment, implementation, controling, advication and termination

Abstract

Health problems that often occur in elementary school age children are diseases related to child and environmental hygiene such as brushing teeth is good and right, the habit of washing hands with soap and personal hygiene. This studi aim to know to  determine whether there is influence of health education to the knowledge of school-aged children about Personal Hygiene at SDN 206 / IV Kota Jambi.  This research is a quantitative research using One Group pretest-posttest design. The research was carried out at SDN 206 / IV Kota Jambi in June 2017. The population is Students SDN 206 / IV Kota Jambi with a sample of 20 students. Data analysis using univariate and bivariate analysis with statistical test of T dependent. The result of this research is p-value = 0,00 <0,05 with difference of mean value -2.35. This indicates there is a significant influence between the knowledge of the respondents before and after being given health education.

Abstract

Schizophrenic patients 70% have hallucinations. Nursing in caring for patients with hallucinations namely performance strategy execution for individual or family. Family’s performance strategy is one nursing interventions for patients who are rarely hallucinated to the family. This study aimed to determine is there any affect of family’s performance strategy execution toward the ability of family caring hallucinations patients. This is a quantitative research; it used pre experiment method and used one group pretest and posttest design. Samples were 20 respondents. This study was conducted from July 25th – August 10th 2017, data were collected using instruments in the form of interview and observation sheets. Data analized by using t-test. The average ability of families before being given family’s performance strategy with average score (3.75) to be (5.75) after being given family’s performance strategy. There is different of family’s performance strategy execution toward the ability of family caring for hallucinations patients at Jambi city with p-value 0.00 (<0.05). it conclude that there is the effect of family’s performance strategy execuation toward the ability of family caring for hallucinations patients.

Abstract

Breast milk is the most perfect milk for children up to the age of two, and it is even advisable to give exclusive breastfeeding for the first six months, and it is recommended for breastfeeding colostrum when first breastmilking comes out. Breast milk is contained many antibodies that are good for the baby's immune. This research is a quantitative research by using prospective approach that is design by looking forward from an event that related to the occurrence of the research or incident that happened at the same time. The result showed that respondents with good knowledge in breastfeeding were 25 (71,4%) of respondents. From Chi Square analysis results obtained p-value = 0.044 <0.05, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between knowledge of mother with breastfeeding in Kelurahan Palmerah working area Puskesmas Paalmerah II Kota Jambi. From Chi Square analysis results obtained p-value = 0.046 <0.05, it can be concluded that there is a significant relationship between motivation with breastfeeding in Kelurahan Palmerah working area Puskesmas Paalmerah II Kota Jambi.

Abstract

Hospitalization is a process that for a reason of planning or emergency, which requires patients to stay in the hospital. Hospital patient care not only causes problems for the patient, but also for the family. The purpose of this study was to determine the family’s experience in dealing with hospitalization of critical patients in ICU Dr. Bratanata Hospital Jambi. This research is a qualitative research with phenomenology approach using Colaizzi model analysis which is implemented in Dr. Bratanata Hospital Jambi. Participants in this study were 5 participants with core family inclusion criteria who had been waiting for more than 7 days and were over 18 years old. Data collection techniques with in-depth interviews.The results of the study there is a Critical Hospitalization Patient Response in the ICU room for the family consisting of physical response include fatigue, body complaints and sleep disorders; Psychological responses include anxiety, tension, fear and sadness; Social responses include reduced communication and new experiences.

Abstract

The tendency to increase the use of addictive substances among young people allegedly in line with increasing pressure in all areas of life including students.The study was conducted with the aim to find out how the description of drug abuse in students  STIKBA Jambi.Sampling technique used is non-random sampling technique with data collection tool in the form of open-ended questionnaire.It is known that according to the STIKBA students' admission they never use drugs (99%), the reason never to abuse drugs (46%), the effect of never using drugs is to stay healthy (98%), knowledge of where and how acquisition of drugs is not know (85%), source of income is still from parents (99%), the positive effect of never using drugs is body remain healthy (49%), knowledge of drug type is shabu-shabu (24,2%) .According to the STIKBA students' admission they never use drugs (99%) and those who have used drugs (1%) factors causing previous drug abuse is due to social factors, this is based on the conclusions of direct interviews from the informant who stated that the association factor with peers that are too free and uncontrolled cause the students get involved in doing drugs drug misuse.

Abstract

Counselling service and HIV test is indespensable for a group of highly risky people to be willing to have a test. One of higly risky groups is gay, transexual and homosexual (GWL). Based on surveys in the beginning the members of GWL that benefitted couselling service and HIV test in Jambi city is still low with 46,80 percentage.The purpose of the research is to know factors related to behaviour of GWL in utilising couselling service and HIV test. This analytic research and descriptive analytic approach use crossectional design. The number of population in this research comprises 210 respondens, but the qualified of inclusion criteria is 89 respondens. The data was taken using questionnaire analyzed in univariat and bivariat using chi-square.Based on the result of analysis, gotten that most of respondens have low knowledge and education as many as 38,2%, possitive attitude in number of (41,6%) and the role of VCT officers comprises 56,2%, where there is a  relation between knowledge with the the behaviour of GWL utilising counselling service and HIV test with p-value = 0,000, comprises relation between attitude and behaviour utilising counselling service and HIV test withp-value = 0,000, and there is relationship between VCT officers and the behaviour of GWL in utilising counselling service and HIV test with p-value0,000.Hopefully that the VCT officers and LSM MWGJ improve elucidation regularly, directly or indirectly through information media, persuading and supporting so that the members GWL (Gay, Transexual, Homosexual) to utilise counselling service and HIV test.

Abstract

The neonatal nursing room in several hospitals in Indonesia has been widely disseminated about the application of developmental care but there are still many nurses who have not applied due to lack of nurse confidence (self efficacy is lacking). This study aims to identify the relationship between self efficacy factors and the application of developmental care by nurses in the neonate care unit. This study used cross sectional study design with 82 samples of nurses in neonate level I, II, III at two hospitals in RSAB Harapan Kita and RSPAD GatotSubroto. The instrument used is self-efficacy questionnaire and Indonesian translation instrument Universe develomental care (UDC). The data of this study were analyzed using bivariate analysis with independent T test. The result of bivariate analysis showed that there was a relationship between the application of developmental care with self efficacy of neonate nurse with p = 0,017. The researcher suggests the institution of nursing services to be able to facilitate the provision of funds and training for increase skill and confidence self nurses in the neonate room.

Abstract

Prevalence of malnutrition in Indonesia 2013, consists of 5.7% and 13.9% malnutrition. Giving breast milk too early may have a negative impact on the health of the baby. In infants who have missed the MP-ASI will lead to malnutrition. This research was conducted using the analytical method. The research was conducted in 2-14 September 2016. The population in this study were mothers of infants aged 6-11 months in Puskesmas Rawasari Jambi City in Agust 2016 that is 73 babies. The research sample is taken by simple random sampling technique totaling 42 babies. Collecting data in this study using a questionnaire measuring instrument with a questionnaire. The analysis used were univariate and bivariate. The results showed that most respondents had a good knowledge of 30 respondents (71%), less well motivated as many as 25 respondents (40%) and have good behavior, namely 23 respondents (55%). The analysis showed that there is not a relationship between the mother's knowledge with the mother’s habit of giving breast milk p value 0,192.and motivationshowed that there is a relationship with the mother's habit of giving breast milk p value 0,008 in that region Rawasari Work Puskesmas Kota Jambi.And alpha value 0.005.

Abstract

Vasectomy is an alternative method of contraception for men who do not want to have children anymore by undergoing minor surgery to stop male reproductive capacity. The method of this research is quantitative analytical with cross sectional design, sample number of KK 50 samples, sampling using puporsive sampling. Data collection techniques using questionnaires, univariate data analysis. The results showed that the knowledge was 100% did not know the social factors that influence the selection of contraception, 11 respondents (22.0%) did not know what advantage in choosing the method of vasectomy contraception, 18% do not know how many children are allowed to use vasectomy contraception and 16.0 % who do not know the age of husbands who may use vasectomy contraception, productive man attitude there are 36.0% hesitated that vasectomy contraception is a safe and effective birth control for couples of childbearing age, 44.0% hesitant to use vasectomy contraception did not affect subsequent sexual relations, 90.0%  hesitant to use vasectomy contraception is not against religion,  60,0% hesitate contraception vase ktomi may reduce the desire for sexual intercourse (libido), 56.0% doubt the use of vasectomy does not result in men become impotent (not male), and 56.0% hesitant men who became vasectomy acceptors can ejaculate (semen discharge).
