Nida Al Quran: Jurnal Pengkajian Islam, Islamic sciences have a humanities and social sciences perspective. This journal also has a program that aims to bridge the gap between textual and contextual approaches in Islamic Studies, and resolving the dichotomy between orthodox and heterodox Islam. The two are interrelated: textual traditions show that Islam, as well as a range of religious teachings, is a way of dealing with practical challenges in economic and social life. So, this journal invites the intersection of several scientific disciplines and scholars. In other words, the contributors borrow from a variety of disciplines, including the humanities and social sciences. Nida Al Quran: Jurnal Pengkajian Islam Islamic Sciences is published by the Institute for Research and Community Service STAI Pengembangan Ilmu Al Quran Sumatera Barat, Indonesia.

Abstract

This research examines the narrative of Maryam in the Holy Qur’an analyzes key dimensions of her story, including divine favor, the tests she endured, and the miraculous birth of Isa (peace be upon him). Drawing upon classical interpretations and modern scholarly insights, this research demonstrates how Maryam’s story embodies faith, purity, and sacrifice. It also highlights her exceptional status as chosen above the women of all worlds, offering enduring moral and spiritual lessons relevant to contemporary readers. It using a thematic exegesis method (tafsir maudhu’i). The primary sources referenced are the Qur’an and additional sources include books that provide further information and support this research, such as At-Tafs?r al-Kab?r by Fakhruddin ar-Razi, Tafs?r al-Qur’?n al-‘A??m, by Ibn Kathir, Tafs?r al-Qurtub? by Qurtubi, and other relevant works. The analysis explores the story of Maryam (Mary) as presented in the Holy Qur’an, focusing on the divine favor she received, the unique trials she endured, and the spiritual lessons derived from her life. This study discusses Maryam’s special status granted by God, including her early dedication to the service of Bayt al-Maqdis, her miraculous provision, and her selection above all other women. Furthermore, it examines the challenges she faced: receiving the news of giving birth to a prophet without a father, enduring accusations from her people, and her solitude during childbirth. The research highlights the significance of parental piety, steadfast faith, and trust in divine decree as central lessons from Maryam’s story. In conclusion, Maryam’s narrative in the Qur’an is presented not only as a historical account but as an enduring moral and spiritual guide emphasizing purity, patience, and complete reliance on God.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas konsep mubham dalam Al-Qur’an serta kaidah-kaidah penafsirannya dalam perspektif qawaid al-tafsir. Mubham merupakan bagian dari redaksi Al-Qur’an yang menyebutkan sesuatu secara tidak jelas, baik berupa individu, tempat, maupun peristiwa, sehingga identitasnya tidak disebutkan secara rinci. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami hakikat mubham serta batasan-batasan dalam menafsirkan ayat-ayat yang mengandung unsur kemubhaman. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan (library research) dengan menelaah sumber-sumber tafsir dan ulumul Qur’an yang relevan. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat tiga kaidah utama dalam memahami mubham: pertama, hal yang hanya diketahui oleh Allah tidak perlu dipaksakan untuk diketahui manusia; kedua, sesuatu yang disamarkan dalam Al-Qur’an pada umumnya tidak memiliki urgensi syar‘i untuk dijelaskan; dan ketiga, pengetahuan tentang mubham hanya dapat diperoleh melalui dalil naqli yang sahih, yaitu Al-Qur’an, Sunnah, dan atsar sahabat, bukan melalui spekulasi akal atau riwayat Israiliyyat yang tidak jelas kebenarannya. Dengan demikian, kajian ini menegaskan pentingnya sikap kehati-hatian dalam menafsirkan ayat-ayat mubham serta fokus pada pesan moral dan hikmah yang terkandung di dalamnya.

Abstract

Penelitian ini menganalisis manhaj penafsiran Sufyan Al-Tsauri dan Al-Sya’rawi dalam menafsirkan ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengungkap metode, corak pemikiran keduanya dalam memahami teks Al-Qur’an. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sufyan Al-Tsauri menggunakan penafsiran dengan tafsir bil ma’tsur, sedangkan Al-Sya’rawi tafsir bil ra’yi dengan menggunakan kombinasi metode tahlili dan maudhu’i namun lebih dominan menggunakan maudhu’i dengan corak sosial kemasyarakatan (adab al-ijtima’i), ilmi, penjelasan bahasa dan mengaitkan dengan realitas kehidupan modern dalam menafsirkan Al-Qur’an. Dengan demikian, keduanya berbeda dalam menggunakan metode tafsir dalam memahami isi kandungan ayat-ayat Al-Qur’an. Kata kunci: Manhaj Tafsir, Sufyan al-Tsauri, Muhammad Mutawalli al-Sya’rawi

Abstract

When discussing the Qur'an, it is essential to discuss all aspects related to it. Whether it is the way it is read or related to its language, namely Arabic. Understanding the messages conveyed by the Qur'an requires adequate knowledge, one of which is the Arabic language. One component of the Arabic language that we will discuss is al-Asma'. Al-Asma' is the plural form of al-ism, which is one of the three parts of a word in Arabic. Al-Asma' has an important position in Arabic sentence structure. In Arabic, al-asma' consists of 13 parts with various sub-parts, ranging from muzakkar, muannas, mamdud, maqsur, manqus, maswuf, alat, ism al-jins, isim al-'alam, dhamir, ism isyarah, ism mausul, ism istifham, ism ma'rifah, ism nakirah, and others. The rules of interpretation related to al-asma'. First, a noun that has multiple meanings, then its meaning is directed to the meaning contained in the context of the sentence. The second rule of asthma' is that if there are several contents standing alone in one text, then their meaning also includes other meanings contained therein. However, if it is related to a word (term) whose meaning is contained in that word (term), then its meaning does not include the accompanying word.

Abstract

This article examines the concept of mental health from a Qur’anic perspective through a psychological analysis of QS. ar-Ra‘d [13]: 28 and QS. al-Baqarah [2]: 286. The study is motivated by the growing prevalence of mental health issues in modern society, which calls for multidimensional approaches, including the integration of psychology and religious studies. Employing a qualitative–descriptive approach, this research uses thematic analysis and Qur’anic exegesis of relevant verses, which are then contextualized within contemporary psychological theories. The findings indicate that the concept of ?uma’n?nah al-qalb in QS. ar-Ra‘d [13]: 28 represents a state of stable emotional regulation achieved through the practice of dhikr as an emotion-focused coping mechanism, while QS. al-Baqarah [2]: 286 emphasizes the principle of proportional life burdens that functions as a cognitive foundation for self-efficacy, resilience, and psychological hope. These findings suggest that the Qur’an provides both normative and psychological frameworks that are relevant for understanding and strengthening human mental health. This article contributes to the development of interdisciplinary studies between Qur’anic exegesis and psychology and offers a contextual and applicable Qur’an-based conceptual model of mental health.
