Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze the management strategies used by Islamic Boarding School in implementing bilingualism within and beyond classroom settings, as well as to evaluate the effectiveness of bilingual learning activities in achieving linguistic and educational goals. In an increasingly interconnected and globalized world, mastery of foreign languages such as English, Arabic, and others is a valuable skill. Bilingual learning programs in madrasas play a significant role in fostering such skills, equipping students with enhanced academic, professional, and personal opportunities. This study employs a qualitative approach using an ethnographic research design. Data collection methods include direct field observations, in-depth interviews with key stakeholders, and analysis of relevant documents. The data analysis process involves reduction, presentation, validation, and conclusion drawing to ensure the validity and reliability of the findings. The research reveals that bilingual learning at Islamic Boarding School is implemented through a well-conceptualized strategy aimed at achieving specific language standards. The school integrates bilingual education both inside and outside the classroom, fostering an immersive learning environment that supports language acquisition. This research is expected to contribute to the understanding of effective bilingual education management in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the impact of transformational leadership on improving education in Islamic primary schools. The study was motivated by the increasing need for effective leadership in educational institutions to adapt to the demands of an ever-evolving society and foster a culture of excellence. Transformational leadership, known for its ability to inspire and empower subordinates, has been proposed as a key factor in driving positive change in educational environments. A qualitative case study approach was used, using participant observation, in-depth interviews, and document analysis to collect data. The findings of the study indicate that transformational leadership in Islamic primary schools has significantly increased teacher motivation, collaboration, and commitment to school development. Teachers reported feeling more involved in the decision-making process, leading to improved teaching practices and overall school performance. The village head’s leadership, characterized by openness, empathy, and teacher empowerment, created an environment conducive to continued growth. This study is expected to contribute to the understanding of how transformational leadership can positively impact educational institutions, providing valuable insights for other schools seeking to implement change and improve the quality of their services.

Abstract

This study analyses forming religious values ​​in the context of leadership change in Madrasah Ibtidaiyah. This study is based on the importance of leadership in maintaining religious values ​​in Islamic educational institutions, especially during the leadership transition period, which often raises organizational challenges. This study uses a qualitative and case study approach to explore phenomena. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation, then analyzed using data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion-drawing steps. This study focuses on educational institutions' strategies, roles, and internal support in maintaining religious values. The study results indicate that leadership has a crucial role in maintaining and developing religious values; strategies used to maintain religious values ​​involve preserving existing traditions and implementing religion-based programs; support from teachers and staff plays a significant role in realizing a sustainable religious environment. The study's results are expected to contribute to developing effective leadership models in Islamic educational institutions, especially in structural change, and enrich the literature on education based on religious values.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the role of Kiai communication in improving organizational performance in Islamic Boarding Schools. This study focuses on the communication strategies used by Kiai, especially in bridging internal and external communication channels to strengthen the identity of the Islamic boarding school. A qualitative case study approach was used to collect data through interviews, observations, and document analysis with data analysis, according to Miles and Huberman. The findings of the study revealed that the charismatic and empathetic communication style of Kiai fosters loyalty among students, administrators, and the wider community, thereby improving organizational performance. This study is expected to contribute to understanding how effective leadership communication can create a cohesive and high-performance educational environment and provide insights for other Islamic boarding schools that want to strengthen their organizational dynamics through communication.

Abstract

This study explores the role of educator management in improving the quality of education at Madrasah Aliyah focusing on key factors such as educator professionalism, leadership, and collaboration between educators, students, and parents. The purpose of this research is to examine how the transformation of educator management, particularly through professional development and leadership, impacts educational outcomes. The study adopts a qualitative approach with a case study design, using data collected from observations, interviews, and documentation. The findings indicate that continuous professional development, including pedagogical training and technology integration, significantly enhances educator competency, leading to more effective teaching practices. Furthermore, the leadership of the school principal plays a crucial role in shaping the educator management process, where clear vision, participatory decision-making, and transparent communication foster collaboration among educators and motivate them to improve their performance. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of collaboration between educators, students, and parents, as it strengthens communication, increases parental involvement, and ultimately boosts student motivation and academic achievement. These findings suggest that developing a collaborative and well-managed educational environment can lead to better student learning outcomes.
