Abstract

Mental disorder is a psychological problem or clinical behavior pattern, which occurs in individuals and is associated with distress, disability or is accompanied by a significant increase in risks such as loss of independence, disability, causing illness or even loss of life. The prevalence of severe mental disorders such as schizophrenia reaches around 400,000 people or around 1.7 per 1,000 population. Hallucination sensory perception disorder is one of the main symptoms and most commonly found in clients with schizophrenia. Hallucinations are a symptom of mental illness in which the client experiences sensory changes and perceives false sensations in the form of sounds, images, tastes, touches, smells. The results of the study found that the patient had entered the RSJ for the third time and the patient said that while in the RSJ he only knew about rebooking and did not know the act of conversing and scheduled activities. Writing the final scientific work of nurses aims to analyze the implementation of nursing care in patients with sensory perception disorders: auditory hallucinations using the application of conversational distraction exercises and scheduled activities. The results of this scientific work showed a decrease in signs and symptoms of hallucinations after successfully achieving all the evaluation criteria for conversations and scheduled activities. This application can be used as teaching material for the development of knowledge about sensory perception disorders: auditory hallucinations.

Abstract

One of the symptoms of submandibular abscess is hyperthermia due to increased white blood cells. One non-pharmacological treatment that can be used to treat fever in children is a warm compress. There are also other compress methods that can be used, namely with the traditional plant Aloevera or what is commonly known as aloe vera. The aim of this case study is to provide an overview of giving aloe vera compresses to reduce the body temperature of children with a nursing diagnosis of hyperthermia. The case study was carried out for 3 days by providing nursing care to patients with hyperthermia nursing problems using observation techniques, interviews, literature studies, and administering aloe vera compresses based on Evidence Based Nursing. From the implementation, the results showed that after being given the aloe vera compress, the patient's body temperature decreased, namely on the first day the temperature before implementation was 39.40C and after the implementation, the temperature dropped to 390C. on the second day before being given the implementation the body temperature was 37.80C and after giving the implementation the body temperature dropped to 37.30C. The conclusion from this case study was that the nursing evaluation showed that there was a decrease in the patient's body temperature after being given the implementation of aloe vera compress.

Abstract

Dyspnea is a subjective sensation of shortness of breath. The emergency nursing problem that arises in dyspnea is ineffective breathing patterns. Ineffective breathing patterns are inspirations and/or expirations that do not provide adequate ventilation. Patients with ineffective breathing patterns are given airway management interventions, in addition to providing oxygen therapy to maximize oxygen entering the body, by providing the Respiratory Muscle Stretch Gymnastics (RMSG) breathing movement technique to help loosen the respiratory muscles to normalize the patient's breathing pattern. At the assessment stage, data was obtained on a case of dyspnea, namely COPD, with complaints of shortness of breath for three days but worsened on the day he was taken to the emergency room with the patient having an irregular breathing pattern, rapid pulse and a history of hypertension. Based on this assessment, a nursing diagnosis of ineffective breathing pattern was obtained with a nursing plan for 1x3 hours. The nursing plan that will be given is airway management with Respiratory Muscle Stretch Gymnastics (RMSG) therapeutic measures. The results of the analysis show that Respiratory Muscle Stretch Gymnastics (RMSG) is not appropriate to carry out in the emergency room where this action is less able to overcome ineffective breathing patterns in dyspnea patients in the emergency room.

In this problem, it will have an impact on the level of service and differences in perception between subordinates and superiors if problems occur. The study used observation and interview methods. The intervention was carried out for 2 days as an alternative to solving this problem, namely making a permanent supervision schedule in the room. During the 5 days of observation, supervision has been carried out in the room according to the previously made schedule. It is hoped that this can provide a reference and be useful as a guideline regarding the supervision schedule in the room so that supervision can be carried out routinely and become more optimal.

Abstract

Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by infection with the bacteria Mycobacterium tuberculosis which can attack various organs of the body, especially the lungs in the lung parenchymal tissue. One of the symptoms that can appear in pulmonary TB patients is shortness of breath, where the shortness felt will cause oxygen saturation to decrease below normal limits. Interventions that can be given to patients who experience shortness of breath can be done by administering bronchodilator drugs, additional oxygen, positioning and non-pharmacological breathing exercises. One non-pharmacological therapy that can be used to increase patient saturation is the pursed lips breathing exercise. The design of this scientific paper uses a case report design. The research subjects used were patients with pulmonary tuberculosis. Data was carried out used descriptive analysis by looking at oxygen saturation before and after giving pursed lips breathing therapy for 5 days of application. Application showed that after applying pursed lips breathing for 5 days, there is an increase in oxygen saturation in pulmonary tuberculosis patients, namely from 90% to 97%. The application of pursed lips breathing can increase oxygen saturation in pulmonary tuberculosis patients, so this therapy can be used as an intervention to increase oxygen saturation.
