Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of inclusive sports learning on improving motor skills of students with special needs, using a literature study method. A review of various relevant literature sources shows that inclusive sports learning has significant potential in improving motor skills, such as coordination, balance, muscle strength, and reflex skills. Structured and adaptively designed physical activities allow students with special needs to participate actively, contributing to better physical development. An inclusive learning environment, where students feel accepted and supported, plays a major role in increasing self-confidence and motivation to engage in physical activity. Social interactions that occur during sports activities also help students strengthen social skills, such as cooperation, communication, and empathy. The findings of this study emphasize the importance of implementing the principle of inclusion in physical education and the need to develop a curriculum that is responsive to the needs of diverse students. Recommendations for educators and policy makers include integrating inclusive sports practices into the education system, training for educators to address diversity in the classroom, and providing adequate resources to support learning. This research is expected to contribute to improving the quality of learning for all students, especially those with special needs, thereby creating a more just and equitable educational environment.

Abstract

Sports and physical health education plays a strategic role in the formation of healthy and fit individuals, both physically and mentally. Along with the increasing recognition of the importance of physical education as a key instrument in human resource development, its implementation in various countries, including Indonesia, still faces various challenges. This study aims to identify challenges and opportunities in sports and physical health education in Indonesia. Using quantitative and qualitative approaches, this study involved 300 students and 50 teachers from 10 schools in five provinces, with stratified random sampling techniques. Data were collected through questionnaires and in-depth interviews, as well as quantitative analysis using descriptive statistics and linear regression, and qualitative analysis through content analysis techniques. The results of the study indicate that challenges in physical education involve aspects of curriculum, infrastructure, and students' low perceptions of the importance of physical education. The gap between urban and rural areas and differences in participation based on gender are key issues. In addition, the use of technology in teaching methods needs to be improved, while the rigid curriculum must be reformulated to integrate mental and social health. This study suggests the need for deep policy reform to ensure that physical education does not only function for physical fitness, but also as a medium for creating a more inclusive and healthy society. With joint efforts from the government, schools and the community, it is hoped that physical education can make a more significant contribution to the health and well-being of the younger generation.

Abstract

In this modern era, attention to physical health and sports education is increasing, along with global and local health phenomena. Adequate physical activity has been shown to have a positive impact on physical and mental health, especially among children and adolescents. According to data from the World Health Organization (WHO), about 80% of adolescents worldwide are physically inactive, potentially causing long-term health problems. This study aims to explore effective sports education interventions to increase student participation. Through descriptive and correlational quantitative methods, data were collected from 300 students from various primary and secondary schools. The results showed that 70% of the students actively participated in physical activity, with significant differences between boys and girls. Parental support, accessibility of sports facilities, and social context contribute to student participation. Research by Liu and Zhao (2020) and Smith et al. (2020) supports the importance of structured sports programs and teacher training. In addition, extracurricular activities and technology can increase students' interest in sports. This research underscores the need for a holistic approach to sports education that supports students' physical and mental health, with adequate policy support. These findings are expected to make a significant contribution to the development of sports education policies and practices, as well as create an environment that supports physical activity among the younger generation

Abstract

Physical education plays an important role in forming healthy and active lifestyle habits for children. However, in the increasingly advanced digital era, children's physical activity has decreased significantly due to high exposure to technology and sedentary lifestyles. This article aims to explore innovative strategies that can be applied in physical education to increase children's motivation and participation in physical activity. This study uses a qualitative method with a case study approach in several elementary schools that have implemented innovative methods, such as gamification, the use of mobile applications, and interactive technology-based activities. The results of the study show that these innovative strategies can increase children's interest and consistency in doing physical activities, thereby helping to reduce the risk of health problems due to inactive lifestyles. The implementation of appropriate technology in physical education learning has a positive impact on developing healthy lifestyle habits while accommodating the characteristics of the digital generation. This article recommends the development of an integrated curriculum with technology and training for physical education teachers to maximize the use of innovative strategies.
