Abstract

Analysis of the fairness of stock prices is important to determine the right investment decision, ensuring that the risk of loss is minimized for investors. This research was conducted to determine the fair prices of stocks after the Covid-19 pandemic in 2023 in Sharia-compliant companies indexed by the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). In this research, the Dividend Discount Model (DDM) method was employed to determine the fairness of stock prices. Among the 30 companies listed on the JII index, only 14 operate in the mining sector, and 10 of them have complete financial reports meeting the research criteria. Among these 10 companies, 9 are in an undervalued condition, exhibiting variations in fair prices compared to the closing market price on November 9, 2023. Notably, two stocks, Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) and Adaro Energy Indonesia Tbk (ADRO), show fair price differences higher than 10% of the market price. Additionally, seven companies have fair prices greater than the market price by less than 10%, including Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO), Indocement Tunggal Prakarsa Tbk (INTP), ESSA Industries Indonesia Tbk (ESSA), Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), Indika Energy Tbk (INDY), Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), and Semen Indonesia Tbk (SMGR). Conversely, one stock, Perusahaan Gas Negara, Tbk (PGAS), is in an overvalued condition. It is recommended to consider purchasing shares of the nine companies experiencing undervalued conditions.

Abstract

This study aims to examining how Islam can contribute to the protection of the environment by exploring the maqashid sharia approach. It also investigates the potential of using blue sukuk investments in managing marine ecosystems to attain sustainable development goals in Indonesia. The concept of hifdh al-'alam or environmental protection is an integral part of maqashid al-sharia, which aims to safeguard all living creatures. This aligns with sustainable development goals number 14, which focuses on preserving the ocean ecosystem. The management of marine fishing in Indonesia poses several challenges that jeopardize the sustainability of fish resources, livelihoods, food security, and economic growth. To address these issues, there is a significant need for financing instruments to develop the marine sector. Blue sukuk provides an opportunity to finance this sector. The development of regulatory aspects, feasible underlying projects, investors, and inter-institutional coordination are critical for the successful implementation of blue sukuk. Key stakeholders with interests in blue sukuk are the government, investors, and fishery communities. Islamic financial institutions and mechanisms may play a significant role in the issuance and development of blue sukuk in Indonesia in the future.

In 2020, the Altman Z-Score method predicts that 7 companies will be declared bankrupt and 5 companies will be declared in good health. In 2021, the Altman Z-Score method predicts that 7 companies will be declared bankrupt and 5 companies will be declared in good health. Grover's method in 2019 predicts that 3 companies will be declared bankrupt and 9 companies will be declared in good health. In 2020, Grover's method predicts that 3 companies will be declared bankrupt and 9 companies will be declared in good health. In 2021, Grover's method predicts that no company will be declared bankrupt and 12 companies will be declared in good health. It can be concluded that the Altman Z-Score method is considered optimal in this study to predict bankruptcy rates, assuming aspects of the Altman Z-Score method that highlight the company's profitability so as to affect the deeper accuracy of the company's financial performance.
