Abstract

This paper aimed to investigate the role of Islamic financial instruments in providing financial support to micro and small enterprises in Nigeria at large and Gombe state in particular. Despite the opportunities presented by the micro and small enterprise sector for economic growth and investment as well as job opportunities, the sector is largely underdeveloped due to lack of direct access to capital and poor managerial experience by many entrepreneurs. This research paper uses a unique combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods to understand the existing financing structures, challenges and identify the potential of Islamic financial instruments as a source of capital for micro and small enterprises in Gombe state Nigeria. The research adopts a series of semi-structured interviews, document analysis, and a survey of various micro and small enterprises within Kashere town and Gombe metropolis for sampling. The findings of the research suggest that the majority of micro and small enterprises are unaware of or having no access to Islamic financial instruments for funding businesses and there is need for better education and awareness regarding these instruments. Additionally, the research paper concludes with recommendations for policymakers, institutions and practitioners on how to increase the use of Islamic financial instruments in Gombe state Nigeria and proper awareness to promote micro and small enterprises for economic growth and development within the study area. Abstract

Pekalongan City is an area that has quite large potential to become a tourist attraction, one of which is the Djadoel Pekalongan Culinary Area. The Djadoel Pekalongan Culinary Area can be said to be quite unique culinary tourism because the area provides various types of traditional food and drinks. In line with the rise of the halal lifestyle trend, KNEKS issued guidelines for implementing the KHAS (Halal, Safe, Healthy Culinary) zone as a form of responding to the development of the Halal Lifestyle trend in Indonesia. Therefore, the application of the SPECIAL zone concept in the Djadoel Pekalongan Culinary Area has the potential to develop culinary tourism and become an attraction for tourists, especially Muslim tourists. This type of research is Qualitative Research. Data collection was carried out using field research and reference studies to find a KHAS-based method for developing the Djadoel Pekalongan Culinary Area. Based on the research conducted, a KHAS-based Djadoel Pekalongan Culinary Area development strategy has been prepared. In the process of developing the KHAS-based Djadoel Pekalongan Culinary Area, there are several aspects that need to be fulfilled, such as halal certification for the products produced. Apart from that, providing facilities such as clean water and places of worship is also one of the supporting aspects of implementing the KHAS zone in the Djadoel Pekalongan Culinary Area

Abstract

Indonesia is a country with very rapid economic development, this can be seen from the increasing number of companies from year to year. In the current era of globalization, many financial institutions are growing and developing rapidly in the Indonesian economy. A high company value is the desire of company owners, because a high value shows that shareholder prosperity is also high. In the banking business, covering financial aspects alone cannot represent bank performance without evaluating the value of the impact of business activities on the environment and social as well as positive and negative performance. Apart from that, banking business units are also required to meet targets sustainability development goals(SDGs) which is the key to the sustainability of all sectors and fields in the world, so this indicates that the implementation of SDGs is very important in the eyes of the public. This research wants to test howsustainablebanks influence banking performance and company value. This research develops a causality model of the relationship between banking performance and sustainability as an independent variable, with company value as the dependent variable. In order to make the visibility of the impact of the two independent variables on company value more general and measurable, the model construction was developed by presenting company size and culture variables as control variables. The data analysis techniques used in this research are descriptive analysis and multiple linear regression analysis. Multiple linear regression analysis is an analysis to determine the effect of more than one independent variable on more than one dependent variable on the dependent variable

Abstract

Zakat is an important mechanism for the development of the country. Zakat contributes to social security and harmony to help bridge the gap and strengthen economic independence. Currently, zakat management managed by Zakat Management Organization is still largely managed informally, so some important things such as good governance, credibility, accountability, and professionalism have not been taken into account. The key to improving the quality and quantity of zakat as a productive and potential public fund is in its management. Professional zakat management is the main prerequisite that should not be abandoned. The purpose of this study is to analyze the degree of difference in perception and attributes of zakat management including trust, transparency, credibility, and accountability on the elements or parties in zakat performance namely zakat institutions, zakat collecting units, zakat payers and selected zakat recipients. The study used a questionnaire collection method with 150 respondents. The analysis is done by testing different perceptions. The results showed that the four stakeholders had different perceptions in terms of improving zakat management. Thus, further research is needed for the common perception of all parties involved in ZMO. The results of this study are expected to contribute to zakat performance research
