Abstract

The aim of this research is to observe and describe the condition of a mother who experiences emotional pain. The emotional pain she experienced resulted in physical suffering. The research method used in this research is the Pastoral Case Study Method. The theories used in this research are pastoral counseling, emotional wounds, the mother's personality and theology of forgiveness. The research results obtained from this research are that the emotional wounds experienced by a mother have a negative impact on her life. The pastoral action taken is to reveal and acknowledge the emotional wounds that the woman has experienced and be willing to forgive the past that has hurt her. This case actually happens a lot in congregational life, and the church must pay attention to it and provide assistance to it.

Abstract

This is an analysis of the identity crisis experienced by Christian adolescents within a digital ecology filled with social comparison, cyberbullying, sleep disruption, and Fear of Missing Out (FOMO). The background highlights numerous findings on how social media affects individual well-being. There are real psychosocial dangers, but also opportunities to enhance peer support and faith. The method used is a narrative-integrative review with a qualitative approach to literature from 2010–2025, sourced from academic publishers and databases like Google Scholar, PubMed, and Scopus. Additionally, theoretical synthesis from Erikson–Marcia, DSMM, I-PACE, and integrated Christian counseling practices are utilized. Risk mechanisms (e.g., upward social comparison, FOMO, cyberbullying, and displacement of offline activities) and protective factors (e.g., media literacy, supportive monitoring, faith communities) are discussed. The discussion then shifts to evidence-based intervention strategies, such as metric-based CBT, media literacy and algorithmic awareness, sleep hygiene, forgiveness interventions, and family-school-church digital  covenants. The "IDENTegrasi" counseling model, which ethically integrates psychological-spiritual interventions (informed consent) and maps identity status with digital risk assessments, is also outlined. The synthesis results show that this model can be effectively used for assessments, session planning, and monitoring outcomes (e.g., identity coherence, digital well-being, and community engagement). This study emphasizes the development of contextual media literacy and spiritual well-being measurement tools, as well as structured trials to assess the effectiveness of the model in schools and youth ministry. Limitations of the study include the lack of longitudinal data and the heterogeneity of contexts.

Abstract

In the digital age, emotional intelligence or Emotional Quotient (EQ) is important for children. This study explains what emotions are, but also the role of parents and teachers in building children's EQ in the digital age, as well as the best ways to do so. The research method involved reviewing various scientific sources. Emotional intelligence is defined as a person's ability to control their emotions, both towards themselves and others. Early childhood education is the basic education level for children aged 0 to 6 years. The results show that parents and teachers play a very important role in helping children recognize and manage their emotions. The best ways to do this include using technology wisely, practicing social skills, and creating an environment that supports healthy emotional expression. In conclusion, developing children's EQ in the digital age requires cooperation between parents, teachers, and the positive use of technology.

Abstract

This study discusses how human experiences with the environment are formed through a process that simultaneously involves sensation and perception. Sensation is the initial stage when the senses receive physical stimuli from the environment, while perception interprets and gives meaning to these stimuli so that the experience becomes complete and meaningful. This article aims to explain how the interaction between sensation and perception plays a role in shaping human experience, as well as the factors that influence it. Through a literature review of various cognitive psychology studies, it was found that a person's experience is strongly influenced by biological conditions, attention, previous experiences, and social context. These findings indicate that human experience is not simply the result of receiving stimuli, but rather an active process influenced by how individuals interpret information. This complex interaction between sensation and perception is what makes each individual's experience of the environment unique and different. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach to describe how sensation and perception work together and the challenges that arise in the process of understanding the environment.

Abstract

This paper describes the role of pastoral counseling for adolescents experiencing bullying based on the message of Matthew 6:25-34. Bullying is a form of social injury that is increasingly experienced by adolescents and has a serious impact on their psychological and spiritual health. This article aims to examine how the message of Matthew 6:25-34 can be a theological basis for pastoral counseling in accompanying adolescents experiencing bullying, and how the role of pastoral counseling as a strengthening of faith amidst social wounds based on the message of Matthew 6:25-34. This study uses qualitative methods of literature study and historical critical hermeneutics to examine Matthew 6:24-35. The results of the study show that Jesus' message in Matthew 6:25-34 is not to worry about life because God will remain faithful to care for all of His creation and this message also has a pastoral message in accompanying adolescents who experience social wounds due to bullying, namely as a means of assistance in helping adolescents to restore their identity by not worrying and growing a strong faith amidst suffering.
