Jurnal Ilmiah Kesehatan Sandi Husada publishes research articles, conceptual articles, and field study reports (Focus and Scope). This journal article is published twice a year, in June and December, and is published by the Nursing Academy/Polytechnic Sandi Karsa Research and Community Service Institute, Makassar, Indonesia. Jurnal Ilmiah Kesehatan Sandi Husada, first published in 2013, presents articles based on research in health studies. The objective of the journal is to provide a forum for lecturers, researchers, students, and practitioners to present their ideas, concepts, and new theories in health and to disseminate theory, research, and teaching reviews to the academic community of health studies in Indonesia and abroad. This journal has SINTA 5 accreditation from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology of the Republic of Indonesia, indexed by DOAJ, Ebsco.

Abstract

Introduction; giving exclusive breastfeeding to newborns is one of the efforts to prevent infectious diseases, malnutrition, and mortality in infants and toddlers. Objectives; know the relationship between knowledge, education, and work of mothers with exclusive breastfeeding. Method; This type of research is descriptive-analytical. With a cross-sectional approach with a sample size of 48 breastfeeding mothers and the sampling technique with total sampling. Data analysis was performed using the chi-square test. Result; that shows there is a relationship between knowledge and education with exclusive breastfeeding. There is no relationship between work and exclusive breastfeeding. Conclusion; that knowledge and education of breastfeeding mothers have a significant relationship with exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

Introduction; Migraine is identified as the cause of primary headache which is characterized by the onset of unilateral pain, as well as accompanying symptoms such as visual disturbances, nausea, and even vomiting. The aim is to conduct a literature study on the effect of stress on migraine incidence. Method; is a literature review by conducting a literature review on articles that are relevant to the research objectives. Result; Stress as a psychological response that arises if there is excessive psychological stress or burden can affect the incidence of migraines. The level of stress is directly proportional to the intensity and frequency of migraines in a person. Conclusion; that doing stress management and stress coping, doing spiritual strengthening, doing relaxation and refreshing on a regular basis and taking advantage of this time to get rid of existing boredom or burdens, utilizing counseling tools.

Abstract

Introduction Infertility is one of the problems faced by couples who want to have children. Infertility in a year occurs as much as 15% in couples who expect pregnancy. Aim; analyzed that the antioxidant content in DPP can counteract free radicals and prevent oxidative stress. Method; The analysis is carried out with a systematic literature review method by examining, identifying, assessing, and presenting it. Result; found various studies showing that DPP extract has an effect to prevent and treat infertility. Conclusion; that there is a decrease in sperm quality due to increased oxidative stress due to an imbalance of antioxidants and free radicals

Abstract

Introduction: Inflammation is a series of non-specific innate processes that are activated by the body in response to foreign invasion, tissue damage, or both. Purpose: To determine the anti-inflammatory activity of black onions. Methods: using literature studies from national and international journals by summarizing discussion topics and comparing the results in articles. Results: Black onions have anti-inflammatory activity through their bioactive components S-allyl cysteine, polyphenols, and flavonoids and can be used as an alternative anti-inflammatory agent in phytopharmaca. Conclusion; The fermentation process carried out by heat treatment at certain humidity in garlic will produce an end product in the form of black garlic or aged black garlic

Abstract

Introduction; the existence of economic demands made the government try to find a solution by enacting a new order of life, namely the adaptation of new habits. Aim; knowing the effect of online seminars on people's knowledge about COVID-19 and the adaptation of new habits. Method; using a quasi-experimental pre and post-test design. The sample in the study of participants who filled out the pretest and posttest questionnaires were 181 respondents and the data were analyzed by univariate, bivariate, and Wilcoxon tests using the SPSS program. Results; shows that the majority of respondents have a median age of 25 years, gender is female (55.2%), the latest education is S1/D4 (65.2%), and most have a sufficient level of knowledge (42.5%), good (42,5% Conclusion: online seminars do not have a statistically significant effect in increasing public knowledge about COVID-19 and IMR but can still be considered as an alternative chosen for certain respondent characteristics.

Abstract

Introduction; in normal pregnancy accompanied by increased metabolism and the high oxygen demand for tissue oxygen which can result in increased oxidative stress. The aim was to determine the effect of giving Fe and Moringa leaf meal on malondialdehyde levels in pregnant women. Method; pure experimental design with pre-test and post-test design with a control group. The results showed that there was an effect of Moringa leaf powder on levels of malondialdehyde after implementation with a p-value of 0.028. In the Fe group after implementation with a p-value of 0.492. There was no effect of iron administration on MDA levels. After implementation, the average reduction in malondialdehyde levels in the Moringa leaf meal group was 2.16 ± 2.21 nmol/ml, the Fe group was -0.42 ± -1.65nmol / ml. Conclusions; giving Moringa leaf flour can reduce levels of malondialdehyde in pregnant women

Abstract

Introduction; malnutrition can make a person more susceptible to infection, and infection also contributes to malnutrition, leading to a vicious cycle. Aim; assessing the effect of giving Virgin Coconut Oil (VCO) on weight gain and the incidence of ARI in malnourished children under five. Method; This type of research is a quasi-experimental study with a randomized pretest-posttest control group design. This study used VCO and PMT in the treatment group and PMT alone in the control group. Result; There was no difference in changes in body weight gain between the treatment group and the control group with a value of P = 0.937, there was a difference in changes in the form of a decrease in the frequency and duration of ARI illness between the treatment group and the control group where the P-value was P = 0.018 and P = 0.010, respectively. Conclusion from the study is that VCO cannot help increase the weight of under-nutrition children, but it can help reduce the frequency and duration of ARI illness

Abstract

Introduction; Diabetes is still recorded as the cause of death worldwide with a prevalence that is always increasing significantly, which is indicated by (polyphagy), (polydipsia) (polyuria). Destination; know the relationship between lifestyle and the risk of diabetes mellitus. Method; quantitative research with a descriptive correlative design using a cross-sectional study approach. The sampling technique is propulsive sampling according to the criteria determined by the researcher. Result; There are 50 (55%) respondents who have a good lifestyle and 41 (45%) have a bad lifestyle. There are 53 (58%) respondents who are at risk for diabetes mellitus, 38 (42%) respondents are not at risk. Conclusion: there is a relationship between lifestyle and the Risk of Diabetes Mellitus.

Abstract

Introduction; nasopharyngeal carcinoma (NPC) is the most common malignancy of the ear, nose, and throat (ENT). Aim was to determine the relationship between salted fish consumption and nasopharyngeal carcinoma. Method; Search for articles was carried out in PubMed® with related keywords and then filtered according to inclusion and exclusion criteria. So that we get six articles that are relevant for a critical assessment. Result; that the association between salted fish consumption and nasopharyngeal carcinoma was inconsistent. Conclusion; differences in the incidence of nasopharyngeal carcinoma and salted fish are eaten in different populations may have contributed to this inconsistent outcome. To find better evidence, we recommend the use of a systematic review

Abstract

Introduction: Low back pain (LBP) is a complaint that often arises related to work and activities that can be experienced by anyone. Aim; know the relationship between posture and sitting time with complaints of low back pain (LBP) in students. Methods: A cross-sectional observational study was conducted and a total of 198 medical students. Data collection using a questionnaire, results: showed a significant relationship between head posture while sitting (p = 0.024), body mass index (p = 0.000), smoking habits (p = 0.003) and complaints of low back pain (LBP). There is no relationship between posture and knee joints when sitting, length of sitting, gender, and age with complaints of low back pain (LBP). Conclusion: There is a significant relationship between head posture (lower or upper) when sitting, body mass index (BMI), and smoking habits with complaints of low back pain (LBP).
