This research focuses on the challenges in translating the Quran into Banjar. This paper aims to explore the unique challenges that arise during the process of translating the Qur'an from Arabic into the Banjar language. Translating the Qur'an transforms texts from the source language into the target language, which is often faced with various complex problems. These problems are related to the miracles of the Qur'an, the distinct characteristics of the source language (Arabic) and the target language (Banjarese), and things related to the problem of diction, idioms, pronoun usage, grammatical rules, and spelling rules. The research method used is a qualitative approach with content analysis. Data were obtained from literature studies related to translation theory, linguistics, and Qur'an studies. The results of the study show that there are several main challenges in translating the Qur'an into Banjar, including (1) differences in the structure and grammatical system between Arabic and Banjar, (2) difficulties in expressing theological and metaphysical concepts of the Qur'an in Banjar, (3) there is a cultural gap between Arabic traditions and Banjar culture, and (4) the limitation of vocabulary in Banjar to translate specific terms in the Quran. This research enriches our understanding of the challenges in translating religious sacred texts, especially the Quran, into local languages. The findings of this study can be a reference for Qur'an translators and other stakeholders to promote a broader and more inclusive understanding of the Qur'an in Indonesia.

This article discusses the role of religious moderation in dealing with the changing pattern of terrorism movements in Indonesia. Terrorism, which has been a serious threat since the 2002 Bali bombings, continues to evolve with increasingly complex movement patterns. The Government of Indonesia has taken steps to address it, including implementing the Terrorism Law, but challenges remain, especially regarding the often subjective definition of terrorism. This article aims to answer the question: How can religious moderation effectively deal with terrorism in Indonesia? This study uses qualitative methods and content analysis to analyze the synergy between the government and civil society, especially faith-based organizations such as Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah, in building community resilience against extremist ideologies. The study's findings suggest that the religious moderation approach, which involves cooperation between religious leaders and the government, can reduce the escalation of terrorism through a soft-power approach. The main scholarly contribution of this article is the emphasis on the importance of a more effective and sustainable approach to religious moderation in handling terrorism, as well as the need for synergy between the government and civil society actors in preventing radicalization at the grassroots level.

This study investigates the role of educated Muslim women in child upbringing and home management in Chinade Town, Katagum Local Government Area, Bauchi State, Nigeria, specifically examining the influence of core Islamic values, cultural transfer, and the prevalence of educated women within households. Utilizing a survey design, data were collected from a randomly selected sample of over 70 households. Descriptive statistical analysis, including mean and standard deviation calculations, examined the relationships between the aforementioned factors and women's roles. Findings indicate a significant relationship between the adherence to core Islamic values, the influence of external cultural elements, and the educational attainment of Muslim women with their approaches to child-rearing and household management. While this study acknowledges the presence of other potential influencing factors not examined herein, it underscores the importance of these key variables in understanding the dynamics of women's roles within this specific cultural context. Further research is recommended to explore additional factors, such as awareness levels and community development initiatives related to positive child upbringing and home management practices. Based on the findings, this study suggests that Islamic scholars and organizations should prioritize and advocate for increased access to both Islamic and Western education for Muslim women, recognizing their pivotal role in shaping family life and societal values.

This study investigates the multi-functional role of mosques in contemporary Islamic societies by examining the case of Masjid Al-Malik Khalid at Universiti Sains Malaysia. While mosques are traditionally viewed as places of worship, this study argues that they can serve as dynamic centers for Islamic development, addressing broader community needs. Through qualitative analysis of archival documents, programmatic materials, and interviews with key stakeholders, the study examines how Masjid Al-Malik Khalid goes beyond ritual practice to encompass educational initiatives, social welfare programs, financial empowerment schemes, and community outreach efforts. The findings highlight the mosque's success in fostering spiritual growth, promoting knowledge acquisition, enhancing social well-being, and empowering the Muslim community. Drawing upon the Malaysian context, the study explores the potential for replicating such multi-functional mosque models in other settings, particularly in the Nigerian context. By analyzing the challenges and opportunities of different socio-cultural contexts, this research contributes to a nuanced understanding of how mosques can serve as catalysts for holistic Islamic development in the 21st century.

The COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted the global economy, with developing countries like Nigeria being particularly vulnerable. Within Nigeria, Adamawa State stands out as one of the regions most affected by the socio-economic consequences of the pandemic. This study seeks to investigate the potential of the Islamic economic system as a viable solution to the economic challenges faced by Adamawa in the post-pandemic era. By employing a qualitative research approach, the study gathered data through structured interviews with Islamic economists and members of the general public. The findings indicate that Islamic financial instruments—such as zakat, waqf, and sadaqah—possess significant potential to facilitate a more inclusive and sustainable economic recovery. These instruments could be vital in addressing inequality and providing a safety net for vulnerable communities. Moreover, the framework proposed in the study highlights how these financial tools can generate employment opportunities and enhance social welfare. The study offers valuable insights into the practical application of Islamic economic principles as part of the region's recovery strategy. Furthermore, it recommends future research to explore the implementation of these financial instruments at the local level, ensuring that the proposed solutions align with the unique socio-economic landscape of Adamawa State.

Sharenting is a practice where parents share their children's life moments on social media. The study focused on @abe_daily's TikTok account, which features videos of a child's daily life and has sparked debate about children's privacy and potential exploitation. The main issue in this study is how the public views the content, whether it is as family entertainment or a form of child exploitation. This study aims to understand the public's perception of sharenting in @abe_daily accounts and its impact on children's privacy. This study uses a mixed methods approach, with in-depth interviews with ten informants and a survey of 13 respondents familiar with the account. Qualitative analysis was done through thematic, while quantitative data was collected through Likert scale questionnaires. The results showed that most respondents viewed content as positive entertainment, but there were concerns about child exploitation and privacy. While monetization of children's content is considered acceptable as long as children's well-being is maintained, there is an urgent need for stricter regulations regarding children's privacy on social media. This study recommends increased digital education for parents and clearer policies to protect children's rights in sharenting.

This study investigates the development of creation narratives within Patristic literature, focusing on key theologians from the Apostolic to Medieval periods, such as Augustine, Origen, and Gregory of Nyssa. The primary issue explored is the theological theme of chaos and cosmos, which illustrates how God transforms chaos into order through His creative and redemptive actions. The research traces how early Christian thinkers understood and articulated this theme, particularly about God's kingship and the overarching narrative of creation, fall, redemption, and new creation. The study employs a qualitative textual analysis of prominent Patristic writings, systematically reviewing key texts that discuss creation narratives. This method allows for a detailed examination of the theological nuances present in these works, highlighting significant trends and variations in thought among different theologians. The iterative approach of this analysis uncovers the dynamic nature of early Christian cosmology and its implications for Trinitarian theology. The findings reveal that Patristic thinkers were deeply concerned with establishing a solid theological foundation for understanding creation about the Trinity. Their reflections continue to enrich contemporary Christian thought on creation, offering insights relevant to modern spiritual and theological discussions. This study recommends further engagement with Patristic literature to foster interdisciplinary dialogue, historical contextualisation, and meaningful theological reflection on creation in the context of contemporary issues.
