Itsbat nikah in Indonesia presents a surprising legal phenomenon because it raises uncertainty about the legality of marriage. The primary purpose of this study is to uncover how itsbat nikah is used as a solution to legally religious marriages that have yet to be officially recorded. The research was carried out with a qualitative approach involving the analysis of literature, legal regulations, and decisions issued by the Religious Court and the Office of Religious Affairs. The study results show that itsbat nikah plays a significant role in legally recognizing marriages that have not been recorded, maintaining legal certainty, and protecting civil rights and inheritance. Implementing itsbat nikah not only meets the legal needs of individuals but also strengthens social order by ensuring that every marriage is legally recognized in society. These findings confirm that itsbat nikah, in the context of maslahah mursalah, supports social justice and legal protection for all Indonesian citizens, emphasizing the importance of this legal mechanism in strengthening the foundation of the family and society.

This study explores the dynamics of group communication and information in the digital conversation space, using descriptive qualitative research methods through participatory data collection and interviews with 112 netizens who are members of WhatsApp Groups. Meanwhile, the analysis of the results uses the theory of Critic Analysis Discourse (CDA) Ruth Wodak (1980). Wodak said that every discourse needs to be examined by the reproductive process, the social and historical context, and the power relations and ideologies that make up the discourse. The Media of Dependency Theory theory was supported by Melvin L. Defleur and Sandra Ball-Rokeach (1989). The results show that the dominance of active members in the digital conversation space, which takes place quickly all the time, in WhatsApp Groups (WAGs) creates a buildup of informational messages. Passive group members ignore the information. This is evidence of inhibition and delay in communication goals. Research findings show that there are more passive members than active members. The dominance of active members in the discourse in the WAG has shown the picture of the WAG of unbalanced group communication between members. There is a certain individual discourse power in each WAG.

This research examines the increasing standardization of sharia banking services for people who have not yet received banking services (unbanked and underbanked). This requires legal certainty to protect customers and Sharia bank agents when running the Laku Pandai (Branchless Banking) application. This research uses qualitative methods, literature studies, and normative-doctrinal legal research. The collected data was analyzed using deductive logic with a statutory approach. The analysis techniques used are qualitative analysis and content analysis. This research indicates that implementing an inclusive financial system in Indonesia is still not in line with applicable regulations and real policies. This does not fulfill the sense of justice and legal certainty needed to protect customers and bank agents.

Pre-Islamic Arab society is a social group that inhabited the Arab region before the advent of Islam. Their rich culture, social structures, and belief systems have contributed significantly to the Middle East's historical advancement and civilization. This article seeks to provide a fuller understanding of pre-Islamic Arab society by emphasizing some aspects of the predominant cultural, social, and religious systems at the time. This study uses literary analysis to consult historical sources like ancient writings, trip diaries, and archaeological artefacts. A historical study has also been done to compile precise and comprehensive data. The research findings show pre-Islamic Arab society had a diverse and rich culture. They developed the highly respected Arabic language, poetry, and literary traditions. Their social structure comprises tribes, and each tribe has its strict hierarchy and moral laws. However, the variety of their religious traditions includes monotheistic, animism, polytheism, and paganism. This article argues that pre-Islamic Arab societies had a complex and rich cultural heritage. Their belief system incorporates numerous forms of mysticism, and their social order is founded on a solid tribal structure. Grasp pre-Islamic Arab society in depth can help one understand the Middle East region's history and culture.

This research focuses on the challenges in translating the Quran into Banjar. This paper aims to explore the unique challenges that arise during the process of translating the Qur'an from Arabic into the Banjar language. Translating the Qur'an transforms texts from the source language into the target language, which is often faced with various complex problems. These problems are related to the miracles of the Qur'an, the distinct characteristics of the source language (Arabic) and the target language (Banjarese), and things related to the problem of diction, idioms, pronoun usage, grammatical rules, and spelling rules. The research method used is a qualitative approach with content analysis. Data were obtained from literature studies related to translation theory, linguistics, and Qur'an studies. The results of the study show that there are several main challenges in translating the Qur'an into Banjar, including (1) differences in the structure and grammatical system between Arabic and Banjar, (2) difficulties in expressing theological and metaphysical concepts of the Qur'an in Banjar, (3) there is a cultural gap between Arabic traditions and Banjar culture, and (4) the limitation of vocabulary in Banjar to translate specific terms in the Quran. This research enriches our understanding of the challenges in translating religious sacred texts, especially the Quran, into local languages. The findings of this study can be a reference for Qur'an translators and other stakeholders to promote a broader and more inclusive understanding of the Qur'an in Indonesia.

This article discusses the role of religious moderation in dealing with the changing pattern of terrorism movements in Indonesia. Terrorism, which has been a serious threat since the 2002 Bali bombings, continues to evolve with increasingly complex movement patterns. The Government of Indonesia has taken steps to address it, including implementing the Terrorism Law, but challenges remain, especially regarding the often subjective definition of terrorism. This article aims to answer the question: How can religious moderation effectively deal with terrorism in Indonesia? This study uses qualitative methods and content analysis to analyze the synergy between the government and civil society, especially faith-based organizations such as Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah, in building community resilience against extremist ideologies. The study's findings suggest that the religious moderation approach, which involves cooperation between religious leaders and the government, can reduce the escalation of terrorism through a soft-power approach. The main scholarly contribution of this article is the emphasis on the importance of a more effective and sustainable approach to religious moderation in handling terrorism, as well as the need for synergy between the government and civil society actors in preventing radicalization at the grassroots level.

This study investigates the role of educated Muslim women in child upbringing and home management in Chinade Town, Katagum Local Government Area, Bauchi State, Nigeria, specifically examining the influence of core Islamic values, cultural transfer, and the prevalence of educated women within households. Utilizing a survey design, data were collected from a randomly selected sample of over 70 households. Descriptive statistical analysis, including mean and standard deviation calculations, examined the relationships between the aforementioned factors and women's roles. Findings indicate a significant relationship between the adherence to core Islamic values, the influence of external cultural elements, and the educational attainment of Muslim women with their approaches to child-rearing and household management. While this study acknowledges the presence of other potential influencing factors not examined herein, it underscores the importance of these key variables in understanding the dynamics of women's roles within this specific cultural context. Further research is recommended to explore additional factors, such as awareness levels and community development initiatives related to positive child upbringing and home management practices. Based on the findings, this study suggests that Islamic scholars and organizations should prioritize and advocate for increased access to both Islamic and Western education for Muslim women, recognizing their pivotal role in shaping family life and societal values.

This study investigates the multi-functional role of mosques in contemporary Islamic societies by examining the case of Masjid Al-Malik Khalid at Universiti Sains Malaysia. While mosques are traditionally viewed as places of worship, this study argues that they can serve as dynamic centers for Islamic development, addressing broader community needs. Through qualitative analysis of archival documents, programmatic materials, and interviews with key stakeholders, the study examines how Masjid Al-Malik Khalid goes beyond ritual practice to encompass educational initiatives, social welfare programs, financial empowerment schemes, and community outreach efforts. The findings highlight the mosque's success in fostering spiritual growth, promoting knowledge acquisition, enhancing social well-being, and empowering the Muslim community. Drawing upon the Malaysian context, the study explores the potential for replicating such multi-functional mosque models in other settings, particularly in the Nigerian context. By analyzing the challenges and opportunities of different socio-cultural contexts, this research contributes to a nuanced understanding of how mosques can serve as catalysts for holistic Islamic development in the 21st century.

The COVID-19 pandemic has severely impacted the global economy, with developing countries like Nigeria being particularly vulnerable. Within Nigeria, Adamawa State stands out as one of the regions most affected by the socio-economic consequences of the pandemic. This study seeks to investigate the potential of the Islamic economic system as a viable solution to the economic challenges faced by Adamawa in the post-pandemic era. By employing a qualitative research approach, the study gathered data through structured interviews with Islamic economists and members of the general public. The findings indicate that Islamic financial instruments—such as zakat, waqf, and sadaqah—possess significant potential to facilitate a more inclusive and sustainable economic recovery. These instruments could be vital in addressing inequality and providing a safety net for vulnerable communities. Moreover, the framework proposed in the study highlights how these financial tools can generate employment opportunities and enhance social welfare. The study offers valuable insights into the practical application of Islamic economic principles as part of the region's recovery strategy. Furthermore, it recommends future research to explore the implementation of these financial instruments at the local level, ensuring that the proposed solutions align with the unique socio-economic landscape of Adamawa State.
