Abstract

Transplantation is a process of transferring organs that are still functioning properly to replace organs that are no longer functioning. However, due to the limited number of organs for transplantation, interspecies transplants are performed, namely transplants between animals and humans called Xenotransplantation. Xenotransplantation is a technique of transplanting animal organs or tissues into human organs or tissues that can no longer function. Xenotransplantation can be one way to overcome the availability of transplant organs for humans. The most potential animal that can be used is the pig because it is almost similar to humans. However, xenotransplantation still causes problems due to immune rejection in the donor and the risk of transmission of infection. The purpose of writing this review article is to find out the potential, risks, and religious perspectives regarding xenotransplantation carried out in the health world. The method used in the preparation of this article is a literature study conducted by reviewing several journals, books and research articles related to xenotransplantation. To overcome the problems caused by xenotransplantation, genetic engineering is carried out in animals in order to produce more compatible organs. Thus, there are several successful organ xenotransplantation experiments although they still require further development. Ethically and legally, xenotransplantation is allowed as long as it is not abused and can save the patient. With the development of biotechnology, xenotransplantation is expected to be an alternative solution that can be used to overcome the scarcity of transplant organs in the future. So the use of xenotransplantation can potentially be an alternative solution that can be used to overcome the scarcity of transplant organs for humans. The risks resulting from the process can be reduced with further research to create animal organs that are suitable for the human body. In the perspective of Islam, xenotransplantation is allowed if it is done to save lives and not to abuse the animal.

Abstract

Utilization of vegetable waste can be done by making organic fertilizer assisted by using black soldier fly biodecomposer agents or Black Soldier Fly, the resulting fertilizer is maggot (kasgot) fertilizer. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of organic fertilizer of vegetable waste left over from maggot (kasgot) cultivation on the growth and yield of Green Lettuce (Lactuca sativa L) plants and get the best dose of kasgot fertilizer. This research was conducted at the Technical Implementation Unit (UPT) of the Food Security and Livestock Service Office (DKPP) of Bandung City. This research was conducted from November to July 2024. The method used in this study was group design with 6 treatments with 5 replications, the treatments given were A = Soil + 100%, Urea; B = Kasgot 5 t ha -1+ 50% Urea; C = Kasgot 10 t ha -1+ 50% Urea; D= Kasgot 15 t ha -1+ 50% Urea; E= Kasgot 20 t ha -1+ 50% Urea; F= 20 Kasgot 20 t ha (-1). The results showed that fertilizing Kasgot 5 t ha(- 1) (B) gave the best results on the parameters of plant height and number of leaves of Green Lettuce plants. So fertilization with a dose of 5 t ha-1+ 50% Urea is the recommended fertilization.

Abstract

Kailan is a vegetable plant from the cabbage family that has promising potential due to its high economic value and the high nutritional content contained in kailan. However, kailan production is still unstable due to the continuous use of inorganic fertilizers, resulting in a decrease in soil quality in terms of physical, chemical, and biological properties. Actions that can be taken to stabilize kailan production can be done by adding organic guano fertilizer to kailan plant cultivation. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of various doses of guano fertilizer on the growth and yield of kailan plants (Brassica oleraceae L.). The method used in this study was a randomized block design (RAK) with 5 treatments and 5 replications, namely A: Control, B: 5 tons ha-1, C: 10 tons ha-1, D: 15 tons ha-1, and E: 20 tons ha-1. The results showed that the administration of various doses of guano fertilizer affected the parameters of plant height 35 HST, number of leaves 35 HST, leaf size, leaf area, and fresh weight of plants. However, it did not affect the harvest index parameters. In treatment D, the application of guano fertilizer dose of 15 tons ha-1 was able to provide the best results for the growth and yield of kale plants in the parameters of plant height 35 HST, number of leaves 35 HST, leaf size, leaf area, fresh weight of plants, and dry weight of plants. Therefore, the dose of 15 tons ha-1 is the recommended dose for kale plant cultivation.

Abstract

The Integrated Service Post (Posyandu) is a community-based health service established by the government, playing an important role in monitoring child health, including efforts to reduce infant and child mortality rates. However, data management at Posyandu is generally still conducted manually using paper-based records, making it prone to data loss and inefficient in terms of access and tracking. One common approach to overcoming these challenges is the use of distributed data systems, which allow data storage and processing to occur across multiple computers in different locations. Nevertheless, many of these systems still rely on centralized servers, making them vulnerable to data breaches and manipulation due to the single point of storage. To address this issue, this research proposes the development of a decentralized web application based on blockchain technology as a solution for secure, transparent, and traceable data management. The application is developed using smart contracts written in Solidity, deployed on the Ethereum blockchain, with Hardhat as the backend framework and React.js as the user interface. The system was developed using a prototyping methodology and evaluated through black-box testing to assess its functional performance. Test results show that the application is capable of managing data effectively, while maintaining a high level of security and transparency. By adopting blockchain technology, the system enhances the effectiveness and efficiency of Posyandu’s data management, while ensuring data integrity and traceability within a decentralized environment.

Abstract

Global warming is an increasingly alarming environmental issue, making early education essential. To enhance students' understanding of its causes, an educational application based on augmented reality (AR) technology was developed. This application employs FAST Corner Detection and Natural Feature Tracking algorithms to detect natural markers on real-world objects. Recognized markers trigger interactive 3D objects and audio narration explaining key global warming factors, such as the greenhouse effect, pollution, and deforestation. The testing process was conducted in two stages: alpha testing using the black-box method to validate functionality, and beta testing, which involved distributing questionnaires to teachers to measure the perceived effectiveness and satisfaction level with the application. The results indicate that the application functions correctly and, based on user feedback, shows significant potential as an engaging and interactive learning medium for introducing environmental issues to students.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to design and develop an Augmented Reality (AR) application to help junior high school students learn and recognize Aksara Jawa by leveraging the FAST Corner Detection algorithm and Marker-Based Tracking techniques to enhance interactivity and engagement. Using AR technology, students can explore Aksara Jawa characters in an engaging way, with 3D objects displayed in real time as they scan designated markers. The research methodology involves literature review, observation, and interviews with educators, while the application development follows the Multimedia Development Life Cycle (MDLC) to ensure quality. Testing shows the application accurately detects markers and displays 3D objects for the intended characters, and feedback from both teachers and students confirms its effectiveness and appeal. Further development of features and content is recommended to make the application even more beneficial and aligned with the needs of Aksara Jawa language education.

Abstract

This study presents the development of a price prediction model for second-hand Iphones based on unit conditions using the Random Forest Regression algorithm, implemented in a web-based application. A dataset of 542 records was collected from Facebook Marketplace and iPhone trading groups, with variables including Iphone type, storage capacity, warranty status, Face ID, and Truetone. The research employed the CRISP-DM methodology through the stages of business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, modeling, evaluation, and deployment. The model was tested using data splits of 80%–20%, 70%–30%, and 60%–40%, resulting in MAE values of 8.32%–8.42% and RMSE values of 10.64%–10.88%, indicating good and consistent accuracy. The developed system can automatically provide price recommendations based on unit conditions, assisting both sellers and buyers in determining fair market prices.
