Abstract

The rapid development of technology in online marketplaces has significantly influenced consumer shopping behavior, with applications such as Shopee, Tokopedia, Zalora, and Bukalapak leveraging advances in information and communication technology to provide faster and more efficient shopping experiences. However, frequent system disruptions often affect user satisfaction, emphasizing the need for improved information systems. This study, conducted in South Sumatra with 334 respondents, utilized questionnaire data that were processed and visualized using R, where decision-support metrics were analyzed through the TOPSIS method with equal weights and a normalized respondent data matrix calculate_topsis  function(data, weights = c(0.2, 0.2, 0.2, 0.2, 0.2)), normalized_matrix as.matrix(data responden), and the methodology integrated both the usability approach and the TOPSIS method within an R Shiny environment. The findings show that data visualization effectively applied the usability and TOPSIS methods, with usability evaluation results indicating average scores of Memorability (4.263), Satisfaction (4.186), Learnability (4.146), Efficiency (4.101), and Low Error Rate (3.749), where Memorability achieved the highest score, while the TOPSIS results highlighted Learnability as the most significant factor.

Abstract

The advancement of digital technology has driven a transformation in public services, including the electricity sector. PT PLN (Persero) responded to this change by launching the PLN Mobile application; however, a gap between user expectations and actual experiences remains evident. This study aims to evaluate the success of the PLN Mobile application using the DeLone and McLean (D&M) model, focusing on five dimensions, system quality, information quality, user interest, user satisfaction, and net benefits. A quantitative method was employed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) with AMOS based on data from 150 active respondents. The goodness-of-fit results confirmed that the model was acceptable (RMSEA = 0.039; CFI = 0.977; TLI = 0.975). Path analysis revealed that system quality (β = 0.240; p = 0.006) and information quality (β = 0.381; p < 0.001) positively influence user interest. User interest enhances satisfaction (β = 0.501; p < 0.001), while satisfaction significantly affects net benefits (β = 0.420; p < 0.001). In contrast, the direct effects of system and information quality on satisfaction and the direct effect of user interest on net benefits were not significant. The novelty of this study lies in validating the D&M model within the context of a public utility application in Indonesia, emphasizing the mediating role of user satisfaction. These findings highlight that improving system and information quality not only stimulates user interest but also ensures satisfaction as the key mediator driving the realization of net benefits from the PLN Mobile application.

Abstract

Accessibility to public facilities is a crucial aspect of improving people’s quality of life; however, their distribution is often uneven across regions. This study developed a local WebGIS application to analyze the spatial proximity of public facilities by utilizing the ST_DWithin function in PostGIS, combined with Leaflet Routing Machine and systematic validation against Google Maps. Spatial data were obtained from official agencies and covered transportation, public services, commercial, and recreational categories within the administrative boundaries of Central Java Province. Proximity analysis was conducted within a 5 km radius, representing a reasonable travel distance for communities to access public services, and the results were visualized in an interactive WebGIS interface. Validation was performed using 30 origin–destination pairs, showing a mean absolute percentage error of 11.3% for distance and 28.2% for travel time, with all distance deviations remaining within acceptable tolerance levels. The novelty of this study lies in the integration of local spatial data analysis using ST_DWithin with actual route computation via LRM, along with a systematic quantitative comparison against Google Maps within the Central Java context, an approach that has been rarely applied in previous accessibility studies in Indonesia. Practically, the system can be used by local governments to identify spatial inequalities, support transportation and spatial planning, and enhance the independence of local spatial data management.

Abstract

This study compares the performance of Web Real-Time Communication (WebRTC) and WebSocket for bidirectional voice interaction with the ChatGPT API on an Orange Pi 3B edge device over a 50 Mbps Ethernet connection. The objective is to determine the most efficient and reliable protocol for real-time interaction on resource-constrained devices. The study evaluates latency, bandwidth, CPU utilization, and jitter metrics automatically collected to assess the efficiency and stability of both protocols. Results show that WebRTC achieves approximately 150 ms latency with lower network and CPU consumption and near-zero jitter, while WebSocket exhibits around 200 ms latency with higher bandwidth usage and CPU load. Practically, WebRTC is more efficient and stable for client-side production due to its resource-efficient and responsive characteristics, whereas WebSocket is better suited for custom data streaming or high-throughput server-to-server communication. These findings provide a quantitative foundation for developers in selecting the optimal protocol for real-time voice applications in edge environments.

Abstract

Universitas Islam Kuantan Singingi receives numerous research proposals from lecturers every year. Limited resources, such as funding, facilities, and expertise, mean that not all proposals can be funded. Therefore, a selection process is necessary to determine which research is eligible for funding. Currently, selection is still carried out conventionally, which is time-consuming and potentially subjectivist, especially in determining the importance of criteria. To address these issues, a Decision Support System was developed using the Fuzzy Multiple Attribute Decision Making method using the Simple Additive Weighting approach. This method is capable of processing various assessment criteria to produce objective weights, values, and rankings for each research proposal. The system's calculations are expected to provide recommendations for priority research as a basis for granting grants at Kuantan Singingi Islamic University. Thus, this system assists the LPPM-DI Universitas Islam Kuantan Singingi in distributing research grants more quickly, transparently, and accurately.

Abstract

Administrative services in Sei Bamban Village are still performed manually, resulting in frequent delays in document verification and archiving and the risk of data loss. The purpose of this research is to use the Unified Approach (UA) approach, which includes the Object-Oriented Analysis (OOA) and Object-Oriented Design (OOD) stages, to design and build a Web-Based Village Administrative Service Information System to address these issues. The developed system's main features include online letter submission, digital verification by village officials, and a centralized digital archive that stores all service-generated documents electronically. This system accelerates letter verification and streamlines, while document storage becomes more secure and easily accessible. Test results indicate that all system functions function well according to user requirements. This research is expected to support increased efficiency and security of administrative services at the village level through the implementation of integrated information technology.

Abstract

Currently, PT Bank Tabungan Negara manages internet bills using SharePoint and Excel. This means that if there are errors or delays in billing or payment, PT Bank Tabungan Negara must provide information to the ISP provider. Based on this problem, there is a need to create a “Provider billing website at PT Bank Tabungan Negara Jakarta.” The purpose of this research is to develop a web-based Internet Bill Payment Information System at PT Bank Tabungan Negara. The system development methodology uses the SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) method, and the system development uses a framework as well as PHP programming and a MySQL database. The total billing information at PT Bank Tabungan Negara consists of internet subscription fees and customer information that must be paid for internet subscriptions. Additionally, from the public's perspective, several forms and reports are generated, including a dashboard, client form, internet package form, fake network form, billing form, and summary form. The entire system has been implemented on a web-based platform. This system facilitates internet distribution management for staff and enables employees to access information regarding internet subscription payments.

Abstract

Indonesia’s rapid e-commerce growth has produced a vast volume of user reviews, yet their use for insight extraction remains limited—particularly for the Bukalapak platform. This study compares the performance of Naïve Bayes and Support Vector Machine for sentiment classification on 10,000 Bukalapak reviews. The workflow includes text preprocessing (cleaning, case folding, tokenization, stopword removal, and stemming) and feature extraction using Term Frequency–Inverse Document Frequency (TF-IDF; max_features = 10,000). Evaluation employs 10-fold cross-validation with accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score, complemented by a paired t-test for significance. Results show SVM outperforming NB (accuracy 84.48% vs. 83.96%; F1 0.8253 vs. 0.8205) with better consistency (standard deviation ±1.08% vs. ±1.24%). The t-test confirms a significant difference (p = 0.019), with SVM’s advantage most evident for the negative class (precision 0.80 vs. 0.78). Both models underperform on the neutral class due to severe class imbalance. These findings provide empirical evidence for algorithm selection in Indonesian e-commerce sentiment analysis and open avenues for future research using deep learning and class-imbalance handling techniques.

Abstract

Understanding user sentiment from e-commerce reviews is essential for platform improvement and business strategy. This study compares three machine learning algorithms—Logistic Regression, Random Forest, and XGBoost—for sentiment classification of Indonesian-language Tokopedia reviews. A dataset of 6,822 user reviews was preprocessed through tokenization, stopword removal, and TF-IDF vectorization. To address class imbalance, the Synthetic Minority Oversampling Technique (SMOTE) was applied to the training set. Models were evaluated using accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score. Results demonstrate that Random Forest achieved the highest accuracy at 86.86%, followed by Logistic Regression at 84.86%, and XGBoost at 82.60%. The application of SMOTE significantly improved classification performance across all models, particularly for minority sentiment classes. These findings indicate that tree-based ensemble methods, especially Random Forest, are effective for sentiment analysis in imbalanced e-commerce datasets. This research provides practical insights for e-commerce platforms to implement automated sentiment monitoring systems, enabling faster response to customer feedback and targeted service improvements. However, the study is limited to Tokopedia reviews and may not generalize to other platforms or languages. Future work should explore deep learning approaches and cross-platform validation to enhance model robustness.

Abstract

Pneumonia is one of the leading infectious lung diseases that continues to cause high morbidity and mortality rates, particularly among children and the elderly. Early detection is crucial to prevent severe complications; however, the limited availability of radiologists in Indonesia poses a significant challenge. This study implements a deep learning model using Teachable Machine to detect pneumonia from chest X-ray images. The dataset was obtained from an open-source repository on Kaggle, consisting of 1,341 normal lung images and 3,875 pneumonia lung images. The training process was carried out with 50 epochs, a learning rate of 0.001, and a batch size of 16. The experimental results demonstrated that the model achieved 100% accuracy, precision, recall, and F1-score in detecting pneumonia. These findings indicate that Teachable Machine can serve as an effective solution for developing early pneumonia detection models without requiring advanced programming skills. Nevertheless, the relatively small dataset size may lead to potential overfitting, highlighting the need for further research with larger and more diverse datasets. The contribution of this study lies in providing an alternative approach to artificial intelligence implementation that is simple, fast, and cost-effective, particularly for healthcare facilities in resource-limited regions.
