Abstract

The article describes a number of characteristics of the industrial robot (IR) in the implementation of spatial manipulation operations, namely, the robot's working space, work area, geometric characteristics, coordinate system, the degree of mobility in the process. An IR with six or more links is a complex technical system. Therefore, according to the real construction of the IR, six or fewer links are involved in the technological process. The smaller the number of links, the simpler the control of the robot.

Abstract

The study investigated air pollution as correlates of anxiety, depression and criminal behaviour (indoor and outdoor crimes) in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area in Rivers State. The study adopted correlation design. Population consisted of all the communities in Obio/Akpor LGA. A 3-year panel of 10 Obio/Akpor communities was collected and analyzed to investigate the effects of air pollution on anxiety, depression and three crime categories. Community-level air pollution data was sourced from the EPA between 2019 and 2021 on six major pollutants: carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen dioxide (N02), sulfur dioxide (S02), total suspended particulate (TSP), particulate matter PMJO, and particulate matter PM 2.5. We standardized each of the six pollutants and then averaged the standardized scores to compute a composite measure of air pollution for each community. Community-level crime data from the Crime Fighters Program was collected from the Nigeria Police Force. A self-structured questionnaire on Anxiety and Depression Scale was used. Content validity of the questionnaire was established by two experts in Measurement and Evaluation. Cronbach alpha reliability method was used to establish the reliability of the questionnaire. Pearson Product Moment Correlation was used to answer research questions and their corresponding hypotheses at 0.05 alpha level of significance using SPSS version 23. Overall, according to the result, air pollution was found to be positively related to indoor and outdoor crime (domestic violence and robbery). However, air pollution was also found to have a positive association with anxiety and depression. The Ministry of Environment should put in measures to control air pollution. Indoor and outdoor recreation should be promoted to avoid anxiety and depression.

Abstract

Today, information on land resources is a key source in ensuring the sustainability of agricultural land relations. The collection of information on land resources by various ministries and agencies, the lack of coordination of the land database shows that the socio-economic management of the regions is not enough to make the right decisions.

Abstract

The article argues that the system of tools for the formation of critical thinking of future primary school teachers must be consistent with the goals of the formation of the initial stage - the motives. However, even at this stage, methods of influencing other components of critical thinking (forms, content, methods, techniques, self-control, and self-awareness) are shown.

Abstract

The article argues that the characteristics of the reading process serve as a basis for the further development of the child. Schooling enables children to develop their learning needs quickly and to acquire quality content, to develop an active interest in the world around them, and to acquire new knowledge and skills. It is based on scientific evidence that a child gradually begins to master his mental processes and learn to control his perception, attention and memory.

Abstract

The study investigates quality of green space and physical health among elderly people in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State: The response of psychology. The study adopted a correlation research design with incident population of 7222 elderly in Obio-Akpor Local Government Area, Rivers State with a minimum sample of 367 representing 5% of the population. The study adopted 3 research questions and corresponding null hypotheses. Purposive random sampling technique was used to draw the minimum sample for the study. Three self-structured instruments were used for the study titled. Quality Green Space Scale (GSSS) and Physical Health Elderly Scale (PHES). The instruments 21 items with sub-sections, A, B, C and D. Section A with 5 items, B with 6 items and C with 5 items were used to elicit information from the respondents on the independent variable (GSSS), forest, private parks and private gardens while section D was used to elicit information on the dependent variable (PHES); Physical Health of the Elderly. The Instruments were subjected to experts in the department of Measurement and Evaluation, Faculty of Education, Ignatius Ajuru University, Rumuolumeni, Port Harcourt to validate the face and content of the instruments. Cronbach alpha was used to determine the internal consistency reliability coefficient of the instrument which measured 0. 78 and 0.85 respectively. The subscales forest 0.87, private parks 0.68, private gardens 0. 78. Linear regression was used to answer the research questions while t-test associated with linear regression was used to test the hypotheses at 0.05 level of significance. The study found out that there is a significant high positive relationship between green spaces; forest, private parks, private garden and physical health among the elderly in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area of Rivers State. Based on their response, it has shown that creation or recreations of green spaces are necessary for the physical health of the elderly in Obio/Akpor, Rivers State. The study recommended that residents should be sensitized on the benefits of green spaces in order to treat the green spaces with care. Government should create places for green spaces for the quality health of the inhabitants. Legislation against deforestation should be enacted to mark a point of sanction against reserved forest destruction.
