Abstract

When operating railways, much attention is paid to the diagnosis of the contact suspension as an unserviceable part of the power supply system. The poles of contact lines are not given due attention, considering them invulnerable. The available means of diagnosing the contact lines do not fully meet the requirements of the operation of power supply devices due to the insufficient number of parameters to be determined, including the determination of the state of the poles. Also, the problematic part in the diagnostic system of the contact lines is the adequacy of the reflection by diagnostic means of the actual quality of the state of contact lines. Improving the quality of diagnostic tools for assessing the condition of the entire contact lines involves identifying potential risk areas, preventing or minimizing the risks of failures, preventing the occurrence of risks based on their systematic forecasting.

Abstract

A new single-switch transformer less lift DC-DC converter has been suggested that energy component cars could benefit from a new single-switch transformer reduced lift DC-DC converter. The newly developed topology makes use of a different capacitor multiplier and an integrated LC2D yield organise in order to improve the voltage addition of the converter and reduce the voltage load that is placed on the force switch. In addition, the suggested converter features a broad voltage gain range, which allows it to accommodate a broad variety of voltage swings produced by the energy component. The operating standards of the suggested converter as well as its consistent state examinations are presented below. Recreation was utilised in the production of a scaled-down, exploratory model that had 800 V and 1 kW. The outcomes of the re-enactment demonstrate that the framework is sufficient.

Abstract

In the article, on the basis of the formula of resistance of materials and mechanics of continuous media, assessments are given for the strength of the fabric and their optimal parameters are determined, which are substantiated theoretically. The static equilibrium of tissues at different internal pressure values is considered and the main theoretical formulas that allow evaluating tissues are indicated. Here we offer to find the optimal structure of the fabric, calculation of selection of geodesic lines. Now we’ll determine exertion of threads at inner pressure. For this the main laws of mechanics of deformed hard body and equations of mathematic physics are used.

Abstract

The article discusses a method of hardening tools made of high-speed steel grade P6M6 in order to obtain higher wear resistance. Research has been carried out on the effect of final tempering temperature on the hardness of steel, and research has also been carried out to determine the optimal temperature of nitrocarburization, in order to obtain high hardness values with a general reduction in tool processing time. To determine the effect of tempering temperature on the hardness of Р6M5 steel, samples were prepared that were quenched from standard temperatures of 1200-1230°C and subjected to tempering from different temperatures. Studies have shown that the highest hardness values are achieved when tempering 540-560°С, and with a further increase in tempering temperature, up to a temperature of 620°С, there is no critical decrease in steel hardness. This circumstance makes it possible to carry out a single final tempering at a temperature of 600-620°С.

Abstract

This paper assessed the impact of subsidy removal on mathematics education in Taraba state. Secondary data were used in the paper. The data were collected from print and online publications. The paper concluded that subsidy removal in Nigeria has affected implementation of mathematics education in Taraba state and affected supervision of mathematics education. It has also led to increment in the prices of instructional materials of mathematics. Based on this, the paper recommended that government should increase the funding of education and increase salaries and allowances of mathematics teachers. Government should increase budgetary allocation for the supervision of mathematics programme and subsidize the prices of mathematics instructional materials.

Abstract

This paper examined application of Artificial Intelligence in educational administration and problems that may likely face the application of Al in educational administration in Nigeria. Using secondary data collected from both print and online publications the paper concluded that application of Artificial Intelligence in educational administration can lead to effective data analysis and decision making, effective school administrative, resource optimization, student support and intervention, streamlined communication and engagement and enhanced security and safety. The paper also identified bias and discrimination, lack of transparency and interpretability, data privacy and security breaches, problem of ethical and legal guidelines, inadequate technical expertise and resources, job displacement and lack of interoperability and compatibility, high cost of maintenance, power problem and unstable internet services as problems that may likely affected application of Artificial Intelligence in educational administration in Nigeria. Based on this problems identified, the paper recommended increment in investment to educational sector in Nigeria by the government.
