Abstract

Spiritual well-being is interconnected with mental health and significantly contributes to health maintenance and recovery from mental illness for all individuals, especially women who marry later in rural regions. The unfavorable perception of rural communities towards individuals who delay marriage manifests in stereotypes such as “old maid,” leading to gossip and labels like unmarketable, selective, playing hard to get, ugly, and very career-oriented. The research aimed to identify the conditions and factors affecting spiritual well-being in rural women who marry later, employing a qualitative phenomenological methodology. Fisher's theory of spiritual well-being was utilized for data analysis, as it offers a comprehensive conceptual framework that accommodates the diverse perspectives articulated in public discourse on spirituality and the viewpoints of historical figures. The study indicates that the spiritual well-being of rural women in Bilapora Rebba Village aligns with four aspects or domains of spiritual well-being, though it does not entirely encompass every element within each domain. The determinants affecting the spiritual well-being of village women who marry later in Bilapora Rebba Village encompass identity, life meaning, forgiveness, respect, kindness, environmental harmony, creator worship, peace with God, prayer practices, self-awareness, and relationships with nature and its wonders.

Abstract

This study seeks to elucidate two facets. Firstly, the presence of the pro-environment movement at the UPT Jatian Waste Laboratory of Pondok Pesantren Annuqayah Lubangsa. Secondly, the ramifications of the pro-environment movement at the UPT Jatian Waste Laboratory on the emotional regulation of santri at Pondok Pesantren Annuqayah Lubangsa. This study aims to ascertain the influence of the pro-environment movement on the emotional regulation of santri. To achieve this objective, the researcher employs a case study methodology, integrating two theoretical frameworks: Pro-Environmental Behaviour Theory, which emphasizes actions directed towards environmental conservation, and Emotional Intelligence Theory, which assesses the effects of the pro-environment movement. The study finds that the pro-environment movement serves as an alternative for establishing environmentally conscious pesantren and aims to enhance santri consciousness regarding the significance of environmental stewardship. Numerous procedures in environmental conservation encompass Reduction, Reuse, and Recycling. As a result, santri recognizes the need for environmental preservation. The execution of this maneuver entails many facilitating and obstructive elements. Detrimental factors encompass opposition from santri who have not embraced the pro-environment movement, whereas beneficial factors consist of santri who have accepted it and possess the ability to regulate their emotions, thereby enhancing their creativity and eagerness to engage in pro-environment initiatives.

Abstract

The crisis in small-scale sectors like agriculture has become pervasive, as farmers directly engaged with the agricultural ecosystem frequently neglect the necessary balance and harmony. The once harmonious interaction between humans and nature is now neglected due to the persistent symptoms of unrestrained anthropocentrism. This study aims to elucidate how ecosufism, perceived as a solution, is enacted by members of a farming collective, reflecting the diverse features of their local expertise. This study employs a descriptive qualitative research methodology, utilizing the theoretical framework of Imam Al-Ghazali, supplemented with the theories proposed by Seyyed Hossein Nasr and Suwito NS. The conducted research revealed that members of the farmer group exhibit ecosufism dimensions characterized by spirituality, environmental ethics, holistic awareness, and sustainable practices, which include fostering positive relationships with nature, complemented by tangible actions and informed by local wisdom.

Abstract

Career anxiety is a common phenomenon experienced by final-year students as they transition from education to the workforce. This anxiety can lead to psychological issues if not balanced with proper career preparation. If the quality of their psychological well-being is low, they are more likely to experience negative feelings such as stress, depression, and anxiety, including career-related anxiety. Therefore, this study aims to investigate the influence of career anxiety on the psychological well-being of final-year students at Universitas Annuqayah Guluk-Guluk Sumenep in 2024. The research employs a quantitative approach with a non-experimental correlational design. It is based on two main theories: Caroll Ryff's theory of psychological well-being and Tsai et al.'s theory of career anxiety. Data collection methods include interviews and Likert scale instruments distributed both online and offline to 30 randomly selected final-year students. The measurement tools used are the career anxiety scale and the psychological well-being scale. Data analysis results indicate a significance value (Sig.) of 0.424 > 0.05, which means there is no significant influence of career anxiety on the psychological well-being of final-year students at Universitas Annuqayah in 2024. The contribution of career anxiety to psychological well-being is minimal, at only 2.3%. This finding supports the notion that other factors play a more dominant role in influencing the psychological well-being of final-year students at Universitas Annuqayah.

Abstract

This article examines the complex link between Mulla Sadra, a famous person in Islamic philosophy, and Sufism, a mystical school within Islam, via the lens of Fazlur Rahman's perspective. The essay opens by describing the historical background in which Sadra formulated his theories, emphasizing the sociopolitical and religious issues of the time. Mulla Sadra's philosophy is distinguished by its emphasis on existence, knowledge, and the nature of reality, setting it distinct from Sufi thought. While Sufism frequently emphasizes experiential knowledge and mystical states, Sadra combines intellectual investigation with spiritual insight, resulting in a unique philosophical framework. This article examines the ontological, theological, and psychological aspects of Sadra’s ideas, contrasting them with Sufi perspectives. In the ontological domain, Sadra’s denial of existential monism calls into question the Sufi belief that actual existence is limited to God alone. The article investigates how Sadra's multi-tiered explanation of existence provides a more sophisticated perspective that accounts for multiple levels of reality. Theologically, Sadra’s intellectual approach to understanding the divine contrasts with Sufis' emphasis on mystical experience. Furthermore, the psychological part of Sadra's philosophy emphasizes the soul's active role in the search for knowledge, which differs from the more passive receiving of knowledge commonly found in Sufi teaching. By examining these characteristics, the article hopes to provide a thorough understanding of how Mulla Sadra's thought interacts with and differs from Sufi traditions. This article is basic research for scholars and students interested in the interconnections of philosophy and mysticism within Islam, providing insights into Mulla Sadra's thought's continued significance in modern discussions.
