Abstract

The mastery of nahwu (Arabic grammar) remains one of the most persistent challenges for students in Islamic schools, despite their strong interest in the subject. At Madrasah Miftahul Ulum Angsokah Timur, many students expressed enthusiasm for learning nahwu, yet they often faced difficulties due to limited study time, fragmented focus on other subjects, and insufficient teaching methods and media used by teachers. This study aims to address these challenges by designing and implementing an intensive nahwu training program for beginner and intermediate students during the twelve-day Maulid holiday. The research employed a qualitative descriptive approach with field observation, interviews, and documentation as the main data collection techniques. The training was conducted three times daily—after dawn, afternoon, and evening prayers—using Talkhīs al-Nahw for beginners and Matn al-Ājurrūmiyyah for intermediate learners. Various interactive methods were applied, including question-and-answer sessions, role play (masrohiyyah), peer teaching, and group drama competitions, followed by a reading test from al-Taqrīb to evaluate progress. The findings indicate that students showed remarkable enthusiasm and significant improvement in their grammatical understanding and reading ability. Surprisingly, the drama-based activities not only enhanced conceptual comprehension but also fostered motivation and collaborative skills. This study contributes to Arabic pedagogy by demonstrating that short-term intensive training, when combined with participatory methods, can effectively strengthen nahwu competence and serve as a model for other Islamic educational institutions.

Abstract

The village hall is a public service building, where it is something that needs to be considered starting from adequate facilities, quality of service, and its environment. The village hall does not meet the standards of eligibility for the community if the environment is not maintained then it will eventually become a source of disease/discomfort for the community. As happened in the Potoan Daya Village Hall which is poorly maintained, filled with grass, and neglected. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with field observation, interviews, and documentation as the main techniques for data collection. The results of this study found that after a direct survey, this public community service building is like a building that is no longer inhabited, outdated, the walls are faded, and covered in moss. In the front yard there are many weeds that continue to grow and so much that they cover the bricks. As for the building itself, the front of the building is very dirty and very unsuitable for health services because it is not health that is obtained but will bring disease. Community service by POSKO 1 is a bridge to a beautiful Village Hall.

Abstract

Kaligrafi atau khat merupakan salah satu warisan peninggalan islam yang memiliki keindahan yang membuat orang yan melihatnya akan merasa kagum sama halnya kekaguman tersebut ketika melihat pemandangan yang begit indah begitulah yang dipaarkan oleh doktor sholah dalam kitabnya. Disampig itu nilai-nilai keislaman yang melekat dengan kaligrafi arab yan ada sejak zaman Rosulullah ketika digunakan untuk melukis tulisan ayat-ayat al-Qur’an, keindahan tersebut memiliki dampa yan begut besar bagi manusia karena dengan melihat keindahan tersebut akan menambah keaguman erhadap ayat-ayat al-Qur’an. Pesantren sebagai salah satu bentuk institusi atau lembaga keagamaan di Indonesia memiliki tanggung jawab besar dalam melestarikan warisan seni dan budaya Islam dengan program bimbingan kaligrafi menjadi sarana pemberdayaan santri untuk mengembangkan potensi seni dan kreativitas mereka. Sebagaimana tujuan pembelajaran kaligrafi membantu mengembangkan keterampilan menulis dengan beragam bentuk yang dapat dibaca, membedakan antara satu huruf dengan yang lainnya. Adapun kegiatan ini menggunakan metode service learning dengan memberikan pelayanan secara langsung kepada santri dalam belajar kaligarfi arab. Hasil dari bimbingan ini adalah santri memiliki kemampuan dalam menulis kaligrafi setelh mengkti kegiatan yang dilakukan selam kurang lebih empat puluh pertemuan, dan juga kegiatan ini ini dapat meningkatkan kreativitas santri dalam kesenian. hal ini juga dapat meningkatkan kemampuan santri dalam menulis tulisan arab dengan indah serta rapi.

Abstract

This community service program ( Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat / PKM) was designed to improve students' self-confidence and communication skills through English public speaking training at Madrasah Aliyah (MA) Darunnajah Trenggalek. This research employed a mixed-methods approach, including surveys, classroom observations, and semi-structured interviews. Quantitative data revealed that the training had a favorable impact on students' self-confidence (77.5%) and communication skills (72.9%), both of which were classified as high to moderately high. The program's impact and sustainability acknowledged the highest score (85.4%), demonstrating robust acceptance and perceived significance among students. Qualitative findings from observations and interviews strengthened these results, representing improved student involvement, lessened speaking anxiety, and a heightened willingness to engage in English public speaking training. Nevertheless, certain technical language aspects, particularly pronunciation, continued to pose challenges, emphasizing the need for constant, systematic training. In summary, the findings demonstrate that English public speaking training is an effective community service intervention for enhancing students' affective and communicative skills, with significant potential for continued implementation in madrasah contexts.
