Abstract

Early post-SC mobilization is very important to speed up the mother's recovery process after a cesarean section. One way to increase mothers' understanding and motivation in carrying out early mobilization is by providing information through videos. The aim of this research was to determine the effect of the post SC early mobilization video education method on patient motivation before and after being given education at Permata Hati Way Jepara Hospital. This research is quantitative with a one group pre-post test design. Data were collected using a questionnaire to assess the level of motivation before and after being given education using a video about early post-SC mobilization. The number of respondents was 45 respondents using total sampling technique. The data obtained was processed statistically using the Wilcoxon test. The research results show that the level of motivation of respondents before being given education using the video method was that 23 respondents (51.1%) had high motivation and 22 respondents (48.8%) had low motivation. After respondents were given education, the number of respondents who had high motivation increased, as many as 39 respondents (86.6%) had high motivation and 6 respondents (13.3%) had low motivation. The P value in the Wilcoxon test between motivation before and after being given the intervention is 0.001 (< 0.05), which means that there is an influence of education using the video method on patient motivation in carrying out early post-SC mobilization. There is an influence of the post SC early mobilization video education method on patient motivation before and after being given video education at Permata Hati Way Jepara Hospital.

Abstract

Maternal mortality and infant mortality are indicators of good and bad health services in a country or region. The higher the maternal mortality rate indicates poor health services. One of the efforts made to reduce MMR is by encouraging every birth to be attended by trained health workers in health service facilities. The aim of this research was to determine the perceptions of pregnant women in the third trimester regarding preparation for childbirth in health facilities and traditional birth attendants at Polindes Murano. The research method used is a qualitative research method which is research on the conditions of natural objects where the researcher is the key instrument. The selection of research informants used the purposive method. There were 8 research informants, 5 key informants and 2 traditional shamans and 1 midwife. The research results showed that there were several informants who still chose to give birth at home with the help of midwives and traditional healers. There are several influencing factors, including distance from home and ancestral traditions. People trust shamans more because shamans are considered to have spiritual powers in assisting childbirth so that the birthing process runs smoothly. Traditional healers have known how to help with childbirth for generations. The midwife realizes that the beliefs held by the community at Polindes Murano cannot be changed in a short time, so the midwife hopes that the midwife can partner with the shaman in assisting with childbirth.Pregnant women can provide information about helpers and safe birthing places.

Abstract

Efforts to reduce the Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) during the neonatal period include carrying out bonding attachments. There are various ways to support the occurrence of bonding attachment between mother and baby, including the implementation of rooming in and exclusive breastfeeding after delivery (Wijaya et al., 2023). By implementing rooming in, it’s hoped that a good bonding attachment will be created between mother and baby it will have an impact on breastfeeding to support increased achievement of exclusive breastfeeding. This study used a cross-sectional method, with a population of 86 postpartum mothers. Using a purposive sampling technique, the sample was 50 mothers, consisting of 25 spontaneous postpartum mothers and 25 SC postpartum mothers. The results of the study, 84% of postpartum mothers have a good bonding. Based on the Chi-Square test, the result was p=0.000<0.05, H0 was rejected and H1 was accepted, which means there is a relationship between rooming in and bonding attachment in post partum mothers. The distribution of data from 2 groups after the normality test was performed not normal, then a statistical test of the difference between 2 groups using Mann-Whitney U test with the result p = 0.445> 0.05, there was no significant difference between the spontaneous postpartum mother group and the postpartum SC mother group. Hopefully that this research can be developed with a different research design as support for efforts to achieve exclusive breastfeeding.

Abstract

Bullying is a pervasive social problem affecting adolescents worldwide and has been identified as a major risk factor for the development of mental health disorders. This literature review explores the impact of bullying on adolescent mental health by analyzing findings from recent academic studies. The review highlights associations between bullying victimization and psychological outcomes such as depression, anxiety, suicidal ideation, low self‑esteem, and long‑term psychiatric vulnerabilities. Additionally, this review provides a deeper examination of the mechanisms through which bullying influences psychological functioning, including emotional dysregulation, chronic stress exposure, and impaired social development. The analysis also considers contextual factors such as family environment, school climate, and digital media use that may exacerbate or buffer the mental health consequences of bullying. Overall, the findings emphasize the need for early intervention, school‑based prevention programs, supportive peer networks, and accessible mental health services to reduce the psychological burden on adolescents and prevent long‑term harm.

Abstract

Adolescence is a critical developmental stage in which individuals often experience psychological challenges such as overthinking, stress, and emotional dysregulation. Limited self-awareness and low mental health literacy exacerbate these challenges, contributing to poor decision-making, heightened anxiety, and stigma. Innovative approaches are needed to promote adolescent mental health. This study aimed to examine the effectiveness of the “Outbond from Overthinking to Understanding” program in improving self-awareness and mental health literacy among adolescents.A quasi-experimental design with pre-test and post-test control groups was conducted among 120 students (60 intervention, 60 control) from senior high schools (SMA) and vocational high schools (SMK) in Kediri, Indonesia. Participants were selected using cluster sampling. The intervention group participated in a one-day outbound program consisting of six activity stations, while the control group received a leaflet on adolescent mental health. Self-awareness was measured using the Self-Reflection and Insight Scale (SRIS), and mental health literacy was assessed with the Mental Health Literacy Scale (MHLS). Data were analyzed using paired and independent t-tests.The intervention group showed significant improvements in self-awareness (Mean Difference = +13.4, p < 0.001) and mental health literacy (Mean Difference = +17.7, p < 0.001), while the control group demonstrated no significant changes. Post-test comparisons revealed higher mean scores in the intervention group compared to the control group for both self-awareness (78.6 ± 7.9 vs. 66.3 ± 8.6, p < 0.001) and mental health literacy (80.2 ± 8.1 vs. 65.0 ± 8.7, p < 0.001).The “Outbond from Overthinking to Understanding” program significantly enhanced self-awareness and mental health literacy among adolescents. Outbound-based experiential learning offers a promising, engaging, and practical strategy for promoting adolescent mental health and should be considered as a complementary approach to conventional school-based education.

Abstract

Diabetic neuropathy is a serious complication of diabetes mellitus that can lead to a decline in patients' quality of life. This study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of various approaches to diabetic neuropathy care, including nutrition, digital technology, clinical simulation, and traditional protocols. A systematic literature review (SLR) was used, analyzing six primary articles published between 2015 and 2025. The results showed that nutritional approaches such as Metanx can significantly reduce neuropathy symptoms and improve patients' quality of life. Digital technology approaches have also been shown to improve patients' self-efficacy and self-care behaviors, while virtual simulation can improve nurses' clinical skills. The conclusion of this study is that a more holistic and integrated approach is needed to improve the quality of life of diabetic neuropathy patients. Future research should include a more robust study design with an adequate control group to ensure the validity of the findings .
