Accelerate healing of perineal wounds in postpartum mothers at the Driyorejo Gresik Community Health Center through Kegel exercise education. This community service was carried out on postpartum mothers with perineal wounds in the Driyorejo Gresik Community Health Center working area in March 2024. The number of postpartum mothers who were given Kegel exercises was 30 people. Service activities are divided into 3 stages, namely preparation, implementation and evaluation. The results of the activity showed a decrease in REEDA scores after doing Kegel exercises. Giving Kegel exercises can speed up the healing of perineal wounds. Kegel exercises given to postpartum mothers for 7 days and done 3 times a day with movements that activate the pubococcygeal muscles can improve blood and oxygen circulation to the muscles and tissues around the perineum.

Abstract

The role of parents is inseparable from the participation or cooperation between the mother and the family (husband) and other family members. An obstacle that is still found in the care of postpartum mothers is the assumption that postpartum mothers are sick mothers, their mobilization is inhibited, the type of food is restricted, the provision of colostrum breast milk is inhibited so that the needs of postpartum mothers are prioritized for full rest. The involvement of extended families in the care of babies has so far been misinterpreted, where the care of babies is left to other family members. After efforts to improve the behavior of postpartum mothers through Family Centered Maternity Care (FCMC) education, it is hoped that postpartum mothers can carry out postpartum care by involving the family. Implementation method with demonstration and discussion. The media used are baby phantoms, postpartum care booklets, LCDs, Laptops, and Projectors. The implementation of health education is carried out by visiting the home of postpartum mothers. The result of community service is that 90% of postpartum mothers can do postpartum care with family involvement. As well as from the results of monitoring and evaluation by way of meeting again by conducting home visits (home care) to postpartum mothers using instruments related to postpartum care. Based on the implementation of community service, it can be concluded that there is an increase in the behavior of postpartum mothers in postpartum care.

Abstract

Based on the results of Riskesdas (2018), the prevalence of ARI in Indonesia is 9.3%, of which 9.0% are male and 9.7% are female (Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia, 2018). This understanding has not been fully understood by mothers and the elderly, so it is necessary to conduct socialization regarding the understanding and causes of people getting ARI. Selection of Dsn. Ngebruk Ds. Lorejo Kec. Bakung Kab Bitar, because the mobility of the community lacks knowledge about ARI and to increase insight regarding environmental factors that are at risk of ARI (Acute respiratory tract infection). The type of research used is descriptive analytical and the research design is cross-sectional. The objects of this study were mothers and elderly people studying in Ngebruk hamlet, Lorejo village, Bakung sub-district, Blitar regency. The results of ARI knowledge were obtained as much as 73.33% using the Gutman scale approach. With these results, it is stated that participants' knowledge of ARI is good, but participants still need to increase their knowledge in order to reduce the risk of contracting ARI. The results of ARI knowledge of 90%, with the results before and after the provision of community service materials increasing. It is important to have community service on preventing ARI in Lorejo Village, because this is very continuous with the priority of health problems in Lorejo Village, namely the counseling method that is less creative and innovative. By providing knowledge about understanding and also preventing ARI for mothers and the elderly, it is hoped that they can independently apply what they have learned to their families.

Abstract

Office employees who work with computers typically spend prolonged periods—approximately 8 hours per day from morning until evening, five consecutive days a week (Monday to Friday) characterized by static working postures and limited physical activity. Musculoskeletal problems such as complaints of neck, shoulder, back and knee pain are often found by RSUD Kabupaten Kediri employees. This condition can cause musculoskeletal disorders, which can significantly reduce work productivity. Therefore, a residency is conducted to develop community-based physiotherapy services. The study was carried out for one month and involved 10 respondents who met the inclusion criteria using purposive sampling. Research instruments included the Nordic Body Map, VAS, and RULA. The Fishbone diagram, USG method, and SWOT analysis was used in this recidency.Education and socialisation have been proven effective in reducing musculoskeletal complaints among employees who work with computers at RSUD Kabupaten Kediri. Abstract

Burnout is a psychological syndrome resulting from prolonged exposure to chronic stress, especially prevalent in high-pressure environments such as healthcare. Among the healthcare providers,  such as nurse appear to be at a higher risk of burnout, which can have serious personal consequences (substance abuse, broken relationships, and even suicide), as well as serious professional consequences such as lower patient satisfaction, lower quality of care, and even medical errors which expense carers and hospitals considerable funds. We conducted a community service by identifying the leading factors that caused burnout among nurses at Simpang Lima Gumul Kediri General Hospital. We found that Burnout among nurses in Simpang Lima Gumul Kediri is intensified by some factors including excessive workload, overcrowding, and challenging non-physical work environments. We proposed two interventions the Professional Nursing Care Model (Model Asuhan Keperawatan Profesional, MAKP) and the Dosage Card System as strategies to mitigate burnout among nurses at Simpang Lima Gumul Kediri Hospital. Through a community service activity, socialization sessions were conducted with department heads, nurses, and service administrators, where pre-test and post-test were administered to evaluate understanding of the interventions. Findings suggest that these sessions effectively enhanced participants' knowledge of the MAKP and Dosage Card System, providing actionable insights into applying these methods in clinical settings to help alleviate nurse workload and reduce burnout. The participants also raised another option which is Timbang Terima Digital as a third potential tool for enhancing nursing efficiency and patient care quality.

Abstract

Hospital Health Promotion is an important function in health care settings that aims to empower patients, families and communities to actively participate in health maintenance and improve well-being. This study analyzed the implementation of Hospital Health Promotion in Simpang Lima Gumul Kediri Hospital to identify factors that influence its effectiveness and develop optimization strategies. A mixed approach was used in this study, including interviews with hospital management and staff, analysis of hospital documents, and review of relevant literature. The results showed that although the hospital has implemented various Hospital Health Promotion programs, there are several challenges that hinder its full potential, lack of training for hospital health promoters, lack of communication among staff, suboptimal program evaluation, and attitudinal barriers from some implementers that hinder the effectiveness of Hospital Health Promotion. To overcome these challenges, the management of Simpang Lima Gumul Hospital in Kediri needs to optimize its Health Promotion program through regular monitoring and evaluation. This process will be supported by a self-assessment form to simplify the evaluation and will include efforts to identify problems, strengthen human resources, develop innovative and integrated programs, utilize technology, increase collaboration with external partners, and measure program achievements for continuous improvement. Implementing this strategy is expected to increase the effectiveness of the hospital's health promotion program and contribute to better health outcomes for the community it serves.
