Abstract

Self-medication is an effort made by the community to treat symptoms of illness or disease using medication without a doctor's prescription. Nowadays, people more often practice self-medication by buying chemical medicines at pharmacies for health problems experienced by their toddlers without knowing the side effects that can be caused. In society, so far, baby spas have only focused on children's growth and development to fulfill the rights of children with special needs and monitor children's development according to age. In the midst of the many people who want services to overcome the health problems of toddlers (sick toddlers), we hope to be able to develop services to meet these needs by adhering to the principle of complementary services with the existence of Baby Spa training which is one of the efforts to handle toddler health problems comprehensively. Complement before using chemical drugs, the samples used were 40, with a total sampling technique. From the results of this training and counseling, it is hoped that it can increase the knowledge of mothers of toddlers regarding baby spas as an effort to handle toddler health problems before seeking treatment at a health facility, research analysis using qualitative analysis techniques.

Abstract

Optimal health services are an absolute requirement for government administrators and private parties. Optimizing health services can be done through innovation, to bring services closer to the community, more easily accessible, higher quality and cheaper. The application of innovation is expected to make communication between medical personnel better, each individual is encouraged to work more quickly, precisely and carefully, and innovation is expected to give birth to a better work culture. The direct service to the community that is quite highlighted is health services. On this basis, we carry out service interventions in the form of workshops and mentoring for PERMATA BEKASI Hospital employees to further optimize service innovation. The workshops carried out included the latest ICF (Japan) international standard assessment system that can be applied in Indonesian health services, Optimizing Employees in preventing Musculosceletal disorder problems and Implementing and optimizing the addition of Dry needle services for Musculosceletal disorder cases. The activity was carried out on June 29 2024. Before conducting the workshop, service innovations that had been implemented were identified. As a result, the residency, which previously had been appealed to several international hospitals, including Japan and Thailand, is still in the process of standardization efforts carried out by countries whose index of health services or hospitals can be an example and motivation.

Abstract

The development of hospitals in Indonesia has been increasing rapidly in recent years. Along with the increasing number of hospitals each year, the amount of medical waste produced also rises. If medical waste is not managed properly, this condition will increase the potential for hospital waste to pollute the environment, spread diseases, and cause occupational accident. The solid waste management process at RSKK includes sorting and containment, transportation, storage, and management. This study aims to identify the solid waste management system, both medical and non-medical, at Kediri General Hospital. The methods used are the fishbone diagram, Urgency, Seriousness, Growth (USG) method, and analyzed by Strength, Weakness, Opportunity, Threat (SWOT). Based on the assessment results, the problem determination related to the medical and non-medical solid waste management system at Kediri General Hospital was obtained. Proposed solutions to address these issues include maximizing storage in the non-medical waste Temporary Storage Site (TPS) to be stored or contained separately according to the type, as well as the need for a waste bank for non-medical solid waste management, providing training for management officers and operators to obtain a competency certificate for hazardous and toxic waste management, and increasing human resources for hospital waste management. This research specifically examines strategies for medical and non-medical solid waste management systems and identifies solutions to these problems.

Abstract

Cancer is a public health problem in Indonesia with a prevalence of 136.2/100,000 population. One of the most common cancers, especially in women, is breast cancer. The highest incidence of breast cancer in women is 42.1 per 100,000 population with an average death rate of 17 per 100,000 population. One of the countermeasures for breast cancer is case finding with early detection carried out through clinical breast examination (CBE) and breast self-examination (SADARI).  One of the features developed by Postgraduate students of the Institute of Health Sciences STRADA Indonesia is a breast cancer early detection application called “MamoApp”. In this community service activity, 2 aspects of activities will be carried out in the Dharma Wanita group of DLHKP office in Kediri city. The first activity is to conduct a socialization in the form of providing health counseling to the Dharma Wanita group about SADARI techniques, the second activity will be carried out early detection of breast cancer using the MamoApp android application. Mamoapp application contains an educational video on awareness examination, then respondents fill out a questionnaire to detect the presence or absence of symptoms of breast cancer, the time used for filling in is approximately 10 minutes. From the results of filling out the questionnaire through the MamoApp application, we will immediately know the conclusion of the examination results, namely: “Indicated Cancer” or ‘Not Indicated Cancer’, so that participants can immediately find out whether the person concerned is indicated by breast cancer or not.  From the results of the questionnaire of 38 participants, there were 2 participants who indicated breast cancer and 36 participants did not indicate breast cancer.
