Abstract

The density of flies in an area, is greatly influenced by: breeding places, sunlight, temperature and humidity. The density of flies will be high if the temperature is between 20-250C, with the humidity that the fly likes is 90%. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of distance, temperature and air humidity on flies density in temporary landfill of kemasan village kediri city. Analytical survey research methods with cross sectional approach. The study population was all buildings in the the eastern area of the temporary landfill kemasan village in Kediri City totaling 349 buildings. The sample in this study amounted to 186 buildings with a stratified random samplingtechnique. The independent variable is distance, temperature and humidity while the dependent variable is the density of flies. Data is collected by observation and processed by multiple linear regression statistical tests. The results showed the sampling distance ranging from a radius of 50m, 100m, 200m, 300m, 400m, and 500m. The research temperature was obtained the lowest temperature of 25.50C and the highest temperature of 32.50C. Humidity shows the lowest humidity is 51% and the highest humidity is 82%. The density of flies has the lowest density of 1 animal and the highest density of 20 animals with an average of 9 animals per region. There are Effect of Distance, Temperature and Air Humidity on The Density of Flies in Temporary Landfill Kemasan Village Kediri City 2019 (p value 0.001 <0.005 then H1 is accepted). It was concluded that the density of flies occurs not only due to the factors above but depends on the environmental conditions that exist in the region such of the street vendors. It is expected that the cleaning and gardening service will increase the participation of officials and the community in efforts to reduce the population of flies and there are not even flies in the kemasan area.

Abstract

Hypertension can be caused by unhealthy living habits such as consuming high salt, obesity, stress, smoking and alcoholic drinks. Foods that contain high sodium, high cholesterol, high fat, and high purines will enter the circulatory system which results in the emergence of plaque in blood vessels and thickens the blood so that blood circulation is not smooth which results in increased blood pressure. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of SMS Gateway on dietary behavior and blood pressure improvement in prolanis participants at UPT. Talun Health Center, Blitar Regency. The design of this study was pre-post with control design with cross sectional approach. The population studied was all prolanis participants who had hypertension at the UPT. Talun Community Health Center in Blitar District, with an accidental sampling technique obtained a sample of 24 respondents who were divided into two control and treatment groups. The independent variable is SMS gateway, the dependent variable is dietary behavior and blood pressure. Data collection using questionnaires and observations. Data analysis using the Mann Whitney test and independent sample t test (α = 0.05). The results showed that after giving SMS gateway there were differences in dietary behavior between the treatment and posttest control groups with a significance of 0.004, there was a difference in systolic blood pressure between the treatment and posttest control groups with a significance of 0.002, and there were diastolic blood pressure differences between the treatment and post control groups. test with a significance of 0.024. The technique of giving SMS gateway is proven to be able to help respondents to pay attention to their diets, so that it is useful in efforts to control blood pressure through eating patterns and types of food.

Abstract

Increased cases of dengue hemorrhagic fever accompanied by the emergence of resistance to temephos, making the use of natural larvicides begin to be considered. One of the natural ingredients that can be used is the fragrant pandan leaves (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb). The purpose of this study was to examine the concentration and effectiveness of Pandanus leaf extract (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb.) To kill Aedes aegypti larvae. This research is an experimental research with posttest only control group design where the object is divided into two groups: the control group and the treatment group. Samples were 25 larvae in each group, and it was repeated four times. So the total sample is 800 Aedes aegypti larvae. The results of this study indicate that at a concentration of 0% (negative control) aquades can kill 0 Aedes aegypti larvae, at a concentration of 1% (positive control) can kill an average of 56%, a concentration of 0.5% can kill 16.75 (17) larvae (67%), a concentration of 0.7% can kill 18.75 (19) larvae (75%), a concentration of 0.9% can kill 20.5 (21) larvae (82%), a concentration of 1.0% can kills 22.25 (23) larvae (89%), a concentration of 3.0% can kill 24 larvae (96%), and a concentration of 5.0% can kill 25 larvae (100%). Based on the analysis of the one way ANOVA test, it can be concluded that there is an effect of fragrant pandanus leaf extract on the mortality of Aedes aegypti larvae with a significant p value of 0,000 (p <0.05). Pandan (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb.) Fragrant pandan leaf extract (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb) at 5.0%concentration is the most effective concentration to kill Aedes aegypti mosquito larvae. Conclusion: Fragrant pandan leaves (Pandanus amaryllifolius Roxb) are effective in causing the death of Aedes aegyti mosquito larvae.
