Abstract

One of the prevention and eradication of mosquitoes that is safe to be used is natural ingredients from plants. Extract lime leaves and lemon grass contain compounds limonoida, sitronela, and geraniol which are toxic to mosquitoes. The purpose of this study was to determine differences in the effectiveness of extract of lime leaves and lemon grass as natural mosquito insecticide. This study used experimental research and the research method was posttest-only control design. It was an experimental design that consisted of two groups, each of which was selected randomly, namely the control group and the experimental group. The research sample number 5 mice per group with 6 repetitions. Bivariate data analysis using a paired t-test and multivariate data analysis using ANOVA test with α value = 0.05. The results showed that lime leaf extract (sig = 0.000) leaf extract, lemon grass (= 0.002), as well as extract mix lime leaves and lemongrass (sig = 0,000) were effective in killing adult mosquitoes. However, there was no significant difference in the number of adult mortality between minute 10 and minute 20 in the experimental group. The mixture of lime leaves and lemon grass extract were the most influential ingredients. It was effective against adult mortality levels. This extract contained compounds citronellal and geraniol twice to kill more mosquitoes.

Abstract

The high public interest in health services without being balanced with the quantity and quality of adequate human resources triggers an increase in workload resulting in physical fatigue which can reduce performance of health workers. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation of work loads with work fatigue at health workers team that implements a 24-hour shift in Ngantang Inpatient Health Center. Research design of this study was observational with cross sectional approach. Population studied was all health workers team who carried out 24-hour shift in Ngantang Inpatient Health Center amount 38 people, with Simple Random Sampling technique obtained sample 35 respondents. Independent variable was workload with dependent variable work fatigue. Data collection using a questionnaire. Data analysis with Spearman rho test at α = 0.05. The results showed almost half of respondents had workload in the high category, amount 16 respondents (45.7%) and most respondents had  work fatigue in very tired category, amount 21 respondents (60.0%). The analysis results showed that there was correlation of work loads with work fatigue at health workers team that implements a 24-hour shift in Ngantang Inpatient Health Center. (p-value = 0.009 <a = 0.05). The high workload of health workers without being balanced by adequate rest periods triggers an increase in fatigue. High levels of fatigue can increase the risk of performance degradation due to reduced physical ability and concentration.

Abstract

Garbage is a factual problem faced by urban areas in Indonesia. Overcoming the waste problem is not only the responsibility of the government, but there must be awareness and participation from the community. Organic waste is waste that can decompose or can be decomposed again with the help of other bacteria. Inorganic waste (dry waste), namely waste that does not decompose easily, such as plastic food packaging containers, paper, plastic toys and so on. The purpose is to find out the sorting and utilization of household waste through an Android-Based Online Massage Geteway companion. The research method that the researcher uses is quantitative research. The research data used primary data that was taken directly by filling out the google form to housewives in Bujel Village from January 2021 to February 2021. The sampling technique used Accidental Sampling. The total sample of this study was 73 respondents. Characteristics of respondents based on age 34-44 years, as many as 33 respondents (45.2%). Meanwhile, the characteristics of respondents based on their education history were mostly high school as many as 29 respondents (39.7%). Before sorting waste with sufficient category, 34 respondents (46.6%). Meanwhile, before utilization with sufficient category, 47 respondents (64.4%). It is known that the respondents already know the method of sorting with a good category of 43 respondents (58.9%). And how to use the category enough 42 respondents (57.5%). Based on the results of the WilcoxonTest statistical test analyst above, it is known that Asymp.Sig. (2-tailed) is worth 0.00 because the value of 0.00 is smaller than <0.05, it can be concluded that "Ha is accepted" This means that there is a difference between the results of the pre post and post test. The conclusion is sorting and utilizing household waste is the first to reduce waste, namely efforts to reduce waste generation. Second, reuse materials or materials so they don't become waste (without going through a processing process). The third is to recycle materials that are no longer useful into other materials or new goods after going through the processing process.

Abstract

Stunting is a problem currently being faced in Indonesia. Toddlers with stunting problems show poor linear growth. This is because toddlerhood is a golden period in growth and development, and affects physical and mental development. Efforts to deal with stunting are prioritized in prevention, one of which is through Integrated ANC (Ante Natal Care) and Pregnant Women's Classes. The research design used was observational with a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study was 1296 toddlers using the Proportion to size sampling technique, a sample of 301 Posyandu was obtained. The statistical analysis used was the Chi Square Spearman Correlation statistical test. Based on the results of this study, it is known that the participation of pregnant women in the Pregnant Women's Class at the Pesantren 1 Health Center in Kediri City was mostly active, namely 250 people (81.7%). The participation of pregnant women in integrated ANC (Ante Natal Care) at the Pesantren 1 Health Center in Kediri City was mostly active, namely 292 people (95.4%). The results of the Spearman Correlation analysis of Stunting incidents in toddlers showed that from the independent variables, namely the participation of pregnant women in the pregnant women's class, the strongest correlation was with the incidence of stunting at the Pesantren 1 Health Center in Kediri City. Improving the implementation of the pregnant women's Class and integrated ANC activities for Pregnant Women in order to prevent stunting.
