Abstract

Dysmenorrhea is the most frequently complained about by women. Dysmenorrhea is generally not dangerous but often interferes with the activities of people who experience it. Young women who experience dysmenorrhea and are participating in learning activities can have an impact on their learning activities because they become disrupted, disinterested, have decreased concentration, or even have difficulty concentrating, so that the material presented during learning is not well accepted. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of giving red ginger on reducing dysmenorrheal pain in adolescents at Klinik BKM Tangerang. The research design used was a quasi-experimental study with a group pretest and posttest design. The tools or instruments used in this study were standard operating procedures (SOP) for making red ginger drinks and NRS (Numeric Rating Score) observation sheets. The results of the study found that of the 63 respondents at Klinik BKM Tangerang before being given red ginger, those who were on a pain scale of 0 (no pain) were 20.6%, mild pain was 23.8%, and moderate pain was as many as 34 respondents. 9%, and severe pain as much as 17.5%. So it can be concluded that most of the respondents experienced a moderate pain scale of 34.9% before being given red ginger and the dysmenorrhea pain scale for students of Klinik BKM Tangerang after being given red ginger, which are on a pain scale of 0 (no pain) 74.6% and have mild pain as much as 7.9% of respondents. The conclusion is that giving red ginger is effective in reducing dysmenorrhea pain. With the test value of the Wilcoxon signed Rank Test, the results obtained are Asymp.sig (2-tailed) 0.000 < α = 0.05.

Abstract

Exclusive breastfeeding based on Government Regulation No. 33 of 2012 on exclusive breastfeeding is breast milk given to babies from birth for 6 months, without adding and/or replacing with other foods or drinks (except drugs, vitamins, and minerals) early initiation of breastfeeding (IMD) is a breastfeeding process that begins immediately after birth by skin-to-skin contact between the baby and the mother and lasts at least 1 (one) hour. This study uses descriptive analytical method, with cross sectional research design. This study was used to see if there is a relationship between early initiation of breastfeeding (IMD) with exclusive breastfeeding using research questionnaires (data collection) conducted all at once and at the same time, using univariate and bivariate analysis. The results of the study of 40 respondents produced data with no IMD then the incidence of exclusive breastfeeding is getting bigger, and the opposite applies. Through the bivariate test with chi square statistical test, Asymmp Sig (2 tailed) 0 is produced, which means there is a relationship between IMD and exclusive breastfeeding. While the relationship of exclusive breastfeeding with breastfeeding problems, with the level of knowledge of mothers about exclusive breastfeeding, with attitudes towards breastfeeding and socio-cultural changes were not found any relationship with the results of statistical test calculations chi square of more than ③ 0.05. The conclusion of this study is that there is a relationship between doing IMD at the time of delivery with exclusive breastfeeding, the incidence of exclusive breastfeeding is in line with the incidence of IMD, and there is a research gap on other variables that could be the subject of further research

Abstract

Background: Stunting is a nutritional status based on the Length or Height According to Age index with a z-score of <-2 Standard Deviation (SD). The case of stunting toddlers in Karangasem Village in March 2021 was 21.62%. The results of interviews with 10 respondents found that 60% of them, or 6 of them, had low education. Previous research on the relationship between maternal knowledge, education, and feeding parenting with stunting incidence in toddlers has been carried out with a cross- sectional design. Objective: The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between knowledge, education, and parenting patterns of feeding with the incidence of stunting in toddlers in Karangasem Village, Bulu District, Rembang Regency. Method: This study is an observational analytical quantitative research with a case-control research design. The sampling technique was obtained through total sampling with consideration of matching residential addresses, namely a total sample of 40 consisting of 20 case samples (stunted toddler mothers) and 20 control samples (non-stunted toddler mothers). Stunting data were obtained through anthropometric methods, while educational data, knowledge, and feeding parenting data were obtained through questionnaires with the help of interviewmethods. Bivariate analysis used the McNemar test for the 2x2 table and Wilcoxon for the 2x table >2. Results: The group of stunted who had sufficient & low category knowledge was 15 (75%) respondents and in the non-stunted group 6 (30%) respondents. The group of stunted who had basic category education was 15 (75%) respondents and in the non- stunted group 13 (65%) respondents. The group of stunted cases in which the application of feeding parenting was included in the bad category was 15 (75%) respondents and in the non-stunted group 16 (80%) respondents. The results of the bivariate analysis found a relationship between maternal knowledge and the incidence of stunting in toddlers (p = 0.00, OR = 2.00), and there was no relationship between maternal education (p = 0.70) and feeding parenting (p = 1.00) with the incidence of stunting in toddlers in Karangasem Village, Bulu District, Rembang Regency. Conclusion: Maternal knowledge is a factor related to the incidence of stunting in toddlers in Karangasem Village, Bulu District, Rembang Regency (p = 0.00; OR = 2.00).

Abstract

Background: Perineal tear is a wound that often occurs during childbirth. Perineal tears occur in almost all first deliveries and are not uncommon in subsequent deliveries. Perineal tears cause discomfort during the puerperium and even one of the causes of respiratory infection. Efforts to prevent perineal tears have been carried out, including perineal massage. Objective : To determine the relationship between perineal massage and perineal tears in multigravida birth mothers Methods : The type of research used is a one group design posttest only approach. This study used multigravida term pregnant women (37 weeks to 40 weeks pregnant) with the interpretation of delivery during July - August 2022, which in previous deliveries and had a history of perineal tears in previous deliveries. Meanwhile, to find out the perineal tear after the mother gives birth or when the mother gives birth by looking at the partograph monitoring tool. Results : Based on the results of the t-test analysis on the data of perineal massage on perineal tears in maternity mothers, the p value (0.000) < from 0.05, these results indicate that there is a relationship between perineal massage and perineal tears in multigravida maternity women. Conclusion : There is a relationship between perineal massage and perineal tears in multigravida birth mothers. Suggestion: It is hoped that it can be implemented in a midwife's practice because the perineal massage technique has been tested by data analysis to minimize perineal tears in pregnant women
