The study evaluates the contribution, growth rate, and role of the agriculture, forestry, and fisheries sector toward the Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) of Kampar Regency (2020–2024). Secondary BPS data was analyzed using sectoral contribution analysis, growth rate, and the Location Quotient (LQ). The results indicate the sector contributes an average of 30–35 percent to GRDP and consistently functions as a basic (leading) sector (LQ > 1). Critically, the growth rate experienced a significant slowdown to 2.45% in 2024, suggesting vulnerability to global commodity price volatility and the potential for a resource trap. This finding necessitates policy interventions, including innovation, technological modernization, and downstream industrialization to mitigate over-reliance on raw natural resources. Policy-wise, the study supports the Kampar Regency Regional Development Plan (RPD) 2023–2026, which emphasizes strengthening commodity value-added and sustainable development.

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing Indonesia’s crude oil export performance to Singapore by employing the Autoregressive Distributed Lag (ARDL) approach. The dataset covers the period 1995–2024 and is compiled from international and national sources, including the United Nations Comtrade, World Bank, International Energy Agency (IEA), and Indonesia’s Ministry of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM). The variables examined include world oil prices, Singapore’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP), oil refinery throughput, Foreign Direct Investment (FDI), domestic oil production, and a global crisis dummy. The estimation results indicate that in the long run, world oil prices, Singapore’s GDP, and domestic oil production have positive and significant impacts on Indonesia’s crude oil exports, whereas refinery throughput in Singapore and global crises exhibit significant negative effects. Meanwhile, FDI shows no significant impact in the short run, although it has the potential to enhance export capacity over longer horizons. The short-run dynamics also reveal that nearly 60 percent of disequilibrium is corrected annually, confirming a strong error correction mechanism. This study contributes by highlighting the interplay between domestic capacity and external shocks, offering policy insights for strengthening Indonesia’s energy export resilience.

The sustainability of a society's survival will always depend on its environment. The environment provides beneficial outcomes when managed well; without this management, damage will occur, impacting not only oneself but also the wider community. Pekanbaru has the potential to improve the welfare of its people, but in reality, there are still many poor households that cannot meet their basic needs. The results of this study prove that the Environmental Kuznets Curve (EKC) aligns with the actual conditions of Pekanbaru, and thru a descriptive qualitative analysis approach sourced from the BPS, DLHK, and KLHK institutions/agencies, it can provide explanations for current and future researchers to offer suggestions for government policies. This condition shows that land management in Pekanbaru still needs improvement, and disaster mitigation and post-disaster education must be provided to the community so that they are also aware of the importance of good environmental management, as it will have a negative impact on everyone, especially the income of poor households. Additionally, the government must also create appropriate policies to minimize environmental damage without having to compromise the economies of poor households.
