This study aims to develop Human Development Index (HDI) targets in Tabalong and Hulu Sungai Utara (HSU) districts from 2024 to 2028 under Optimistic, Moderate, and Pessimistic scenarios. Using HDI data and HDI components, and applying linear projection and average increase models. The HDI simulation used the ADIM South Kalimantan application from Bappeda of South Kalimantan Province. The results of the analysis of the HDI target of Tabalong Regency in 2024 for the Optimistic, Moderate and Pessimistic scenarios are: 74.74; 74.61; 74.49 and 2028 rose to: 77,15; 77,02; 76,90. Similarly, for HSU District, the HDI targets in 2024 were 68.74; 68.61; 68.49 and 2028 increased to 71.55; 71.42; 71.30. The simulation of HDI components shows the need for measurable and data-based targets to avoid targets that are too high or low from regional potential.

This study aims to analyze the impact of inflation and minimum wage on labor productivity in Indonesia during the period 2014–2024. Productivity is measured by Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP) at current prices across provinces. The study employs panel data of 36 provinces with a total of 317 observations, analyzed using the Generalized Least Squares (GLS) method to address issues of autocorrelation and heteroskedasticity. The results show that both inflation and minimum wage have a positive and significant effect on labor productivity. Inflation is significant at the 1% level, while the minimum wage is significant at the 5% level. These findings highlight the importance of price stability and measured minimum wage policies in supporting regional labor productivity growth. The coefficient of determination (R²) is 0.3936, and the F-statistic test shows a probability value of 0.0000 (p < 0.05), indicating that all independent variables collectively have a significant effect on GDP.

This study examines the effect of retirement on the risk of Cardiovascular Disease (CVD), a major Non-Communicable Disease (NCD) responsible for 73% of total deaths in Indonesia, with CVD accounting for 35%. Older adults, especially retirees, are more vulnerable to CVD due to declining physical function and reduced activity. Unhealthy lifestyles after retirement further elevate this risk. As a catastrophic and chronic illness, CVD also incurs high healthcare costs, absorbing around 30% of total hospital expenditures. Using IFLS data from 2007 and 2014, this study applies Pooled OLS, Pooled Logit, Fixed Effect (FE), and Fixed Effect Instrumental Variable (FE IV) methods. Findings show that retirement increases CVD risk by 0.170 percentage points (p < 0.01), while walking habit reduces by 0.006 percentage points (p < 0.05). Results from FE IV using State Pension Age (SPA) confirm this finding. The study suggests selectively increasing SPA and enhancing public support for walking activities.

This study examines the impact of minimum wage, inflation, and formal employment on Regional GDP in Indonesia using panel data from 34 provinces (2018-2024). Fixed effects model results show: (1) an 1% increase in minimum wage raises GDP by 1.48% (p<0.001); (2) inflation has a positive 0.018% effect; (3) a 1% increase in formal employment boosts GDP by 0.019%. These findings confirm the importance of appropriate wage policies, inflation control, and labor formalization for regional economic growth.

This study aims to analyze the effect of tourist visits on the economy of South Kalimantan through employment absorption from the perspective of the Tourism-Led Growth Hypothesis and Multiplier Effect Theory. It uses secondary time series data from 2011 to 2024 covering the number of tourist visits, employment absorption, and South Kalimantan's gross regional domestic product. This study applies path analysis to test the causal relationship between variables. The results show that tourist visits have a positive and significant effect on employment (β = 0.823; p < 0.001) and economic growth (β = 0.338; p = 0.001). Employment acts as a significant mediating variable (β = 0.560; p < 0.001). The role of labor mediation in transmitting the impact of tourism on the regional economy in South Kalimantan has not been widely explored in previous literature. These findings have important policy implications that the development of the tourism sector must be integrated with job creation strategies to maximize the multiplier effect on the regional economy.

The continuous progress in digital technology has brought about various modern financial services, one of which is paylater, a platform increasingly favored by university students. However, its utilization is largely influenced by students’ level of digital financial literacy and lifestyle preferences. This research seeks to examine the combined effect of digital financial literacy and lifestyle on students’ decisions to utilize paylater services within the Faculty of Economics and Business at Yogyakarta State University. The study adopted a quantitative method by administering online questionnaires to 72 active paylater users who were chosen using purposive sampling techniques. The gathered data were processed through multiple linear regression analysis. The results reveal that digital financial literacy (β = 0.350; p < 0.05) and lifestyle (β = 0.544; p < 0.05) significantly affect students’ decisions to use paylater. Jointly, these variables explain 67.4% of the variance in paylater usage decisions (R² = 0.674). The findings imply that students with higher digital financial literacy tend to make more rational and responsible financial choices, whereas those with a more consumptive lifestyle are more likely to use paylater services. Hence, enhancing digital financial literacy among students is essential to foster wiser and more sustainable financial behavior in the digital era.
