Abstract

Digital café marketing increasingly relies on visual content and public reviews, yet aesthetic appeal alone does not establish whether a brand promise is credible. This study examines congruence between visual promises and electronic word of mouth in Indonesian café marketing and identifies how review language reflects visit-related signals. A qualitative-dominant comparative multiple-case design was applied to 60 digital traces, comprising 40 firm-generated units and 20 public reviews from Giyanti Coffee Roastery, One Eighty Coffee & Music, Kudos Cafe, and KYND Community Seminyak. The data were analyzed through multimodal content analysis, within-case interpretation, negative-case analysis, and cross-case pattern matching. The findings show that ambience and experiential promises were consistently confirmed, product quality was largely confirmed with one qualification, and symbolic claims concerning authenticity, lifestyle, price, and ethics often lacked sufficient consumer-generated evidence. Review language mainly reflected realized repeat visitation, explicit revisit intention, and recommendation, indicating that review platforms capture loyalty and advocacy more directly than first-visit planning. The study develops a dimension-specific congruence framework that extends signaling theory and digital customer value research. For café managers, the framework provides a practical basis for aligning visual communication with verified customer experience and identifying under-communicated strengths or credibility gaps.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effects of Financial Literacy, Expected Return, and Perceived Risk on gold investment intention through the Pegadaian Digital Application, as well as their relevance to financial behavior dynamics. This study employed a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression analysis. Primary data were collected through questionnaires distributed to Millennials and Generation Z in the Greater Jakarta (Jabodetabek) area using a purposive sampling technique. The results show that Financial Literacy and Expected Return have positive and significant effects on gold investment intention, with Expected Return identified as the most dominant motivating factor. In contrast, Perceived Risk does not have a significant effect on gold investment intention. These findings indicate that Millennials and Generation Z tend to perceive gold as a relatively safe asset and demonstrate a high level of trust in digital platforms. Their investment behavior also appears to be more strongly oriented toward achieving future financial goals than toward concerns about short-term price fluctuations. These findings provide useful insights for academics and practitioners in developing financial education programs and digital investment products that align with the preferences of Millennials and Generation Z. PT Pegadaian is encouraged to proactively strengthen digital financial literacy programs, provide real-time transparency regarding buying and selling price movements to promote realistic expectations of investment returns, and enhance cybersecurity measures to minimize concerns regarding customer data privacy and maintain long-term investor loyalty.

Abstract

The freight forwarding industry in Indonesia is expanding rapidly, yet research on the factors shaping logistics performance in this sector remains limited. This study examines the effects of Process Agility and Customer Retention on Logistics Performance in the export division of PT. Nippon Express Indonesia. Data were collected from 68 active customers using a 40-item questionnaire on a five-point Likert scale and analysed with variance-based Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modelling (PLS-SEM) in SmartPLS 3.0. The measurement model showed adequate convergent and discriminant validity, with the majority of factor loadings above 0.70, AVE values above 0.50, and both the Fornell–Larcker and Heterotrait–Monotrait (HTMT) criteria satisfied. The structural model produced an R² of 0.435 for Logistics Performance, indicating moderate explanatory power. Both Customer Retention (β = 0.479) and Process Agility (β = 0.292) had positive, significant effects, with Customer Retention emerging as the stronger predictor. These findings extend the freight forwarding literature and offer practical guidance for strengthening logistics performance in competitive export markets.
