Abstract

Introduction: Free sex is a sexual behavior that is driven by a desire carried out by both the same sex and the opposite sex without any marriage ties. However, there are still many adolescent who fall into free sex. This can make many generations of young people drop out of school due to free sex and sexually transmitted diseases can occur. Objective: The purpose of this study is to provide health education about the impact of free sex on adolescents by using telenursing method which is expected to increase adolescents' good attitudes towards free sex. Method: This research is a quantitative research with a quasi-experimental research design with one group pre and post-test. Respondents from this study were adolescent who lived in Sarongsong 1 Village, North Minahasa Regency, North Sulawesi Province. Indonesia. Respondent in this research are 23 adolescent by using a total sampling technique. The statistical test used in this study was paired t-test with a significant value p-value<0.05. Results: The results showed the attitude of the respondents during the pretest; the mean is 65.70 and the post-test is 73.70 with P-value = 0.000. Conclusions: so, it can be concluded that health education about the impact of free sex on adolescents using the telenursing method is significantly effective in increasing adolescents' good attitudes towards free sex. It is hoped that the results of this study can add insight to nurses about health education methods for adolescents, especially related to free sex and hopefully health education about the impact of free sex on adolescents by using telenursing method can be used in health services for adolescents.

Abstract

Introduction: The Covid-19 pandemic affects the readiness level of postpartum mothers in entering the new normal adaptation.The Covid-19 outbreak has resulted in many reductions in general activities, both in access and quality, and a reduction in maternal health services. Objective: To know the relationship between the readiness level of postpartum mothers and the new normal adaptation of Covid-19 prevention at Bhayangkara Hospital Manado. Method: This research is a quantitative research that used the cross-sectional research design. The location of this research was Bhayangkara Manado Hospital. The population size for this survey was 43 respondents, the number of samples was 43, obtained using a non-probability sampling technique, consecutive sampling method. This study used the Spearman correlation test and data collectionusing a questionnaire sheet. Results: The results showed that the respondents' readiness for postpartum mothers were high (93.3%) in facing the new normal adaptation and respondents with high new normal adaptation (67.4%). The results of the bivariate analysis using the Spearman correlation test showed the value of p = 0.006. Conclusion: There was a significant effect between the level of readiness of postpartum mothers and the new normal adaptation of the Covid-19 pandemic prevention.

Abstract

Introduction: Covid-19 first entered Indonesia in March 2019, the spread of this virus was very fast because of the fast pollution. This virus attacks the respiratory system and is very easily exposed to people who have a weak immune system, so that the health effects when exposed to this virus are very heavy and under certain conditions, resulting in death. Because of its rapid spread and stigma from the exposure of this virus is very frightening, so Covid-19 does not only have an impact on physical health, but has an impact on the mental health of the survivors of Covid-19, due to the negative stigma of the community Objective: To find out the impact of the negative stigma of Covid's survivors - 19 after being treated at the Covid-19 B Emergency Field Hospital (EFH). Method: Using a qualitative method with in-depth interview techniques to 7 informants. Results: Covid Survival - 19 After undergoing isolation at the Emergency Field Hospital (EFH) Covid-19 B Manado experienced the impact of psychological problems from the community and coworkers when returning to their activities, even though the survivor had been declared cured with negative PCR results and had undergone insulation for 14 days at the Emergency Field Hospital (EFH) Covid-19 B Manado. The lack of clear public knowledge about the spread of the Covid-19 virus causes negative stigma to the survivors of Covid-19 can occur. Conclusion: After undergoing isolation from exposure to Covid-19, survivors experience the impact of negative stigma such as low self-esteem, feeling ostracized, blaming themselves, even anxiety and psychological pressure then intimidation so that survivors blame themselves and withdraw from society.

Abstract

Background: Reproductive health is often neglected by women. One of the factors is the lack of knowledge and awareness of reproductive health. Keeping the vulva clean is very important so that it is kept away from hazards that might interfere with reproductive health. Care for the outer genitalia (vulva) or commonly referred to as vulva hygiene is a behavior in which individuals can maintain the cleanliness of the outer genitals so that they remain clean and healthy and prevent the possibility of infection. Objective: To determine the relationship between the level of reproductive health knowledge and vulva hygiene in class XI adolescent girls at SMA N 1 Beo, Beo District, Talaud Islands Regency Method: This study uses a descriptive analytic/quantitative design with a cross sectional approach. The population is all girl’s class XI. The number of samples is 74 respondents determined by total sampling technique. Results: This study used the Fisher Exact Test. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between the level of reproductive health knowledge and vulva hygiene in class XI female adolescents at SMA N 1 Beo, Beo District, Talaud Islands Regency, with a p-value of 0.042 <α = 0.07. Conclusions: From the results of the study, it was found that there was a significant relationship between the level of reproductive health knowledge and vulva hygiene in class XI female adolescents at SMA N 1 Beo, Beo District, Talaud Islands Regency.

Abstract

Introduction: The problem of bullying generally occurs at the age of teenagers, for example, physical bullying, verbal and cyberbullying. Parenting patterns and social support can influence bullying behavior. Good parenting or not can make teenagers behave in bullying. High and low levels of social support can also make teenagers do bullying behavior. The perceived impacts are anxiety, stress, depression, withdrawal from the environment, mental health disorders, and suicide. If this case is not resolved, it will threaten the future of teenagers. Objective: The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between parenting, social support, and bullying behavior in female students. Method: The method is quantitative, uses a descriptive correlational research design with a cross-sectional study approach. The sampling technique used was the total sampling technique, with a sample of 90 female students. Result: The results of this study indicate that the most obtained is high bullying behavior, the parenting pattern shows that most parenting patterns are not good, for the most with a low level of social support. From these results, it was found that there was a significant relationship between parenting and bullying behavior in female. The relationship between social support and bullying behavior shows significance. Conclusions: There is a significant relationship between parenting style and bullying behavior, and there is a significant relationship between social support and bullying behavior in SMP N 3 Tombatu students.

Abstract

Introduction: Disturbed sleep patterns in the elderly are often caused by a disease process or part of a process of change due to aging. Poor sleep quality can have an impact on the sleep quality of the elderly. Lack of sleep experienced by the elderly can have effects on the physical, cognitive and quality of life of the elderly. Music therapy is a non-pharmacological therapy that has a relaxing effect to improve sleep quality. Objective: To analyze the effectiveness of spiritual music therapy on the sleep quality of the elderly at the Bethania Lembean Nursing Home. Method: The design used is the Pre-Experiment with the Pretest-posttest (before-after) approach. 25 elderly participants with poor sleep quality were recruited using purposive sampling method. The Wilcoxon test was used to analyze differences in sleep quality before and after spiritual music therapy interventions were given. Result: The results of statistical tests showed that there was a significant difference in the quality of sleep before and after being given spiritual music therapy with a p value of 0.000 (p <0.05). Spiritual music has advantages in terms of tempo and melody, which are slow and relaxing. Apart from that, spiritual lyrics have the meaning of strengthening and calming. Both of these provide a relaxing effect so as to improve the quality of the elderly's sleep. Conclusions: Giving spiritual music therapy can improve the sleep quality of the elderly.

Abstract

Introduction: Osteoarthritis (OA) is the most common form of inflammation of the joints. This disease often affects the joints in the hips and knees. Osteoarthritis causes pain, disability and reduced functional capacity. Risk factors for this disease include occupation, exercise, trauma, genetics, nutrition, and hormones. Activities performed with repetitive motion or injury will increase the risk of developing OA, such as physical activity with repeated pressure on the knee can increase the risk of OA in joints that are experiencing stress. Objective: This case study aims to determine the physiotherapy management in cases of knee osteoarthritis with ultrasound and quadriceps setting exercise. Method: The respondent in this case study is a 31-year-old father at Sam Ratulangi Tondano Hospital. Assessment of pain using the Visual Analog Scale (VAS) and functional activities with the Jette scale. After doing the therapy 6 times. Results: the results obtained by giving Ultrasound and quadriceps exercise settings are as follows, for pain examination, silent pain from 2 to 1, tenderness from 4 to 2 and motion pain from 7 to 4, there is a decrease in pain intensity and for functional activity examination for squatting to standing activities the pain score was from 3 to 3, the difficulty value was from 3 to 3 and the dependency value was from 3 to 1. For activities going up and down stairs the pain value was from 3 to 2, the difficulty value was from 3 to 2 and for dependency from 2 to 1. Then for the activity of walking 6 meters the pain value is from 3 to 2, the difficulty value is from 3 to 2 and the dependency value remains 1, there is an increase in functional activity. Conclusion: The conclusion in this case study is that ultrasound and quadriceps setting exercise can reduce pain and increase functional activity in knee osteoarthritis.

Abstract

Introduction: Hypertension is a non-communicable disease that contributes to the highest number of causes of death in the world. People with hypertension are at risk of experiencing disturbances in several body functions such as the heart, blood vessels, brain, and so on. Therefore, it is important to make efforts to prevent hypertension or complications with health education. The education provided can use the diactive method supplemented by poster media, that can provides an attraction for participants to understand the education delivered. Objective: To determine the effect of health education given using the didactic method and media posters on the level of knowledge in preventing hypertension. Methods: This study used the pre-experimental method with a one group pre and post-test design without a control group. The population is all the people of Gamhoku Village aged from 18-70 years, totaling 440 people. Sampling using purposive sampling method, with the formula Arikunto obtained a total sample of 110 people. The instruments used were knowledge questionnaires and media posters. Providing education which was given once, while the poster media was left to the respondents. Knowledge level measurements were carried out before education, and 3 days after education was given. Results: Data analysis using the Wilcoxon Sign Rank Test found p-value = 0.000 <0.05. Conclusion: There is a significant influence in the provision of health education using the didactic method and media posters, on the level of knowledge in preventing hypertension in Gamhoku Village, Tobelo Selatan District.

Abstract

Background: Obesity and overweight are two different things, but both of them show an excessive accumulation of fat in the body which is marked by an increase in the value of Body Mass Index (BMI). The cause of obesity in children is not known for certain, but there are several factors influence the occurrence of obesity in children, namely genetic/hereditary factors, eating patterns, activity patterns, gender, and parental education. Objective: To determine whether there is a relationship between genetics/heredity, eating patterns, activity patterns, gender, and parental education with the incidence of obesity in children aged 6-12 years. Methods: This research is a quantitative study using a case-control research design. The case group is obese children and the control group is not obese. This research was conducted at GMIM 54 Lapangan Elementary School. The instrument in this study used a questionnaire sheet and obesity was measured by BMI using a meter to measure height and a scale for weight. The sampling technique was purposive sampling with a sample size of 68 parents with children aged 6-12 years (38 people are the case group and 30 people are the control group). Results: The results showed that eating patterns (p-value 0.000), activity patterns (p-value 0.000), genetics (p-value 0.012), gender (p-value 0.003), and parental education (p-value 0.017) were significantly related to the incidence of obesity. Conclusion: Diet, activity patterns, genetics, parental education, and gender are significantly associated with the incidence of obesity in GMIM 54 Lapangan Elementary School.
