Abstract

The title of this research is the analysis of Societies Understanding Financial Products in Deli Serdang District of Tanjung Morawa. The purpose of this research is to identify and analyze the level of public understanding of the financial products offered by banks. These products include storage of funds, disbursement of funds and other services of the bank .The data used in this study is primary data and secondary data. The collecting of the primary data is done by giving the questionnaire to the people who live around Tanjung Morawa ,while the secondary data are obtained from books , literature, the Internet , and other media. The analytical method used is descriptive analysis using the computer program SPSS version 16.0.The result of this research indicate that the level of of public understanding of the financial products offered by banking is diverse. The highest level of understanding on storage products , while banking funds for the understanding of other products is still low . This is because customers only know the products that they use only.Keywords : Public Understanding , Banking

Abstract

Perbaungan is one of sub-district in the regency of Serdang Bedagai. Major population of Perbaungan is Muslim. Which is 104.979 people or 92,50% from the whole number in the sub-district, it is 113.490 people. This research is limited to Muslim’s perception, the purpose of this research is to know how the perception of people in Perbaungan about the food in packaging. And to know how the label halal of that food effect.In addition, the object of the research is the society, especially Muslim in Perbaungan who are consist of various professions. The data of this research is the primary data which is collected by the questionnaire which is given to the respondents. The sample is 60 respondents with Non probability sampling. The research is the descriptive analysis. That is researcher has to do the tabulation of data by using likert’s scale.The result shows that Halal label product is well known for the people of Perbaungan. And the other result is labeling halal logo can be significant impact for the people’s buying decision.Keyword : perception, perbaungan’s people, and halal labeling.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Return on Assets (ROA), Net Profit Margin (NPM) and Earnings per Share (EPS) to towards stock return on banking companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange. The independence variables in this research are Return on Asset (ROA), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Earning per Share (EPS) and stock return as dependent variable. The samples in this research is 21 banking companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange in the study period 2008-2012. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling technique. The analysis technique used in this research is the analysis of panel data (pooled data) by using analytical methods Random Effects Model (REM). The results of this research show that Return on Assets (ROA), Net Profit Margin (NPM) and Earnings per Share (EPS) either partially or simultaneously had no effect to the banking company's stock return are listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange.Keywords: Return on Asset (ROA), Net Profit Margin (NPM), Earning per Share (EPS) and stock return

Abstract

This research titled “Analysis Causality of Agricultural Productivity and Import of Rice in Indonesia”. The purpose of this research is to know relationship between agricultural productivity and imported rice in Indonesia. The research uses secondary data from 1986 until 2012. The method of analisys are Unit Root Test, Ordinary Least Square, and Grager Causality. This data is processed by using the program eviews 7.1. The results of the research show that there is a reciprocal relationship (causality) between agricultural productivity and imported rice in Indonesia, based on a simple regression test results indicate that there is a negative relationship between agricultural productivity and imported rice, and there is a negative relationship between imports of rice and agricultural productivity in Indonesia.Key words: Agricultural Productivity, imported rice, The Granger Causality Test, and Ordinary Least Square.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to investigate and analyze the effect of bank risk (the ratio of loan-loss provisions and expected default frequency) and bank-specificcharacteristics (the ratio of capital, size and liquidity) to bank lending channel at conventional commercial banks in Indonesia and to investigate and analyze the effect of bank risk (the ratio of loan-loss provisions and expected default frequency) and bank-specificcharacteristics (the ratio of capital, size and liquidity) to bank lending channel with interest rate of Bank Indonesia Certificates as a moderating variable.Secondary data collection is done by downloading the data published financial statementsconventional bank on www.bi.go.id and the data bonds obtained from the Indonesia Bond Pricing Agency. This study employs panel regression model for the first hypothesis testing and analysis of moderating variable regression model with residual method for the second hypothesis testing.The results of the study indicate that the first hypothesis is jointly bank risk (the ratio of loan - loss provisions and expected default frequency) and the bank-specificcharacteristics (the ratio of capital, size and liquidity) have significant impact towards bank lending channel at conventional commercial banks in Indonesia. Partial test showed that the independent variables are liquidity has no effect on bank lending channel. In the second hypothesis the results showed that the interest rate of Bank Indonesia Certificates moderate the effect of size to bank lending channel and also moderate the effect expected default frequency to bank lending channel. However, the interest rate of Bank Indonesia Certificates not moderate the effect of loan-loss provisions to bank lending channel, the effect of capital to bank lending channel, as well as liquidity to the lending bank channel.Keywords : loan - loss provisions, expected default

Abstract

This study purpose to analyze the effect of periodically power outage and using generators on revenues micro enterprises in the District of Medan Baru.The data used is primary, data obtained from the questionnaires to micros businesses as many as 25 respondents who use generators and 25 micro-businesses that do not use generators. In this study the use of generators using dummy variables. Data analysis method used is multiple regression with SPSS tools 19 .From the regression results indicate that the effect of periodically power outage on revenue equal to –253130,865 and the effect of using generators on revenue equal to –1,0696.Keywords : Periodically Power Outage, Revenue, Generator

Abstract

This study aimed to analyze the effect of stock splits on stock price changes and stock trade volumeon companies listed in the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) from 2010 to 2013. The study design used is event study. The data used are secondary data with a sample size of 30 companies conducted by purposive sampling.Hypothesis testing is done with Paired Sample T-Test. Before the test is done, normality test was done by using the Kolmogorov-sminorv, firstly. The tools which is used with SPSS 19.0 version.Results of this study indicate that the stock split has significant effect on stock price changes and trade volume. The effect of stock splits is negative, which is shown up by decrising of average stock price changes and average trade volume.Keywords: Stock Split, Stock Price Changes, Trade Volume.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the implication PNPM rural to the availability of infrastructure. The study was conducted in 4 village namely Sorkam, Naipospos Barat, Teluk Roban, and Bottot with the quantity of samples is 91 hauseholds. The analysis method that used in this study is descriptive analysis, simple regression analysis, paired sample t test and the measurement scale is likert scale. The descriptive analysis result showed that the implementation of PNPM rural in sorkam is dominantly used for the development and the improvement of basic infrastructure. The simple regression estimation’s result showed that impact PNPM rural to the availability of the infrastructure in sorkam is significantly positive. While the paired sample t test showed that the availability of infrastructure has a positive effect on level of people’s income in sorkam.Keyword: PNPM-MPd, Availability of the Infrastructure, Income level, Descriptive Analysis, Simple Regression, and Paired Sample t Test.

Abstract

This research aims to study the condition of saving interest of student of SMAN in Medan. The type of this research is quantitative descriptive. There are 21 SMAN in Medan. The result of research indicates that the saving interest of student of SMAN in Medan city is lower because the research found that 77 respondents of 100 respondents have not saving in bank. This caused by their pocked money is few so they can not save their money in bank. However, most of them are saving their money at home. While the saving product known by students of SMAN in Medan is Britama Junio from BRI for 79 respondents and followed by BNI Taplus Muda from BNI for 74 respondents, and Tabunganku from Mandiri Bank for 61 respondent. The main reason for saving in bank is dominated by the future need for 11 students from 23 students who have saving in bank.Key words: Saving Interest, SMAN Student, and Bank

Abstract

This thesis analyzes determinants of length of stay of international tourists on vacation in Tuktuk Siadong, Samosir regency, which is a major international tourism destination in Indonesia. Empirical modeling done by Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) and use primary data through questionnaires of 100 samples of international tourists in April 2014. Rising costs on vacation, quality of accommodation and infrastructure encouraging significantly increasing length of stay of tourists on vacation. Rising cost of vacation in other destination is complementary for adventurous international tourists in Indonesia, although not significantly reduce length for stay in Tuktuk Siadong. Income levels do not significantly increase demand for international tourists, but the beauty and serenity of nature gave pleasure to international tourists on vacation in Tuktuk Siadong.Key Words : International Tourist, Demand for Tourism, Tourism Costs, Income, Accommodation, Infrastructure
