Abstract

This study examines the role of digital technology in enhancing entrepreneurship in the Era of industry 4.0 through a systematic literature analysis of various sources from 2013 to 2023. By adopting this methodological approach, the research elucidates the benefits, challenges, and solutions associated with the adoption of digital technology for business practitioners, particularly in the micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs). The analysis demonstrates that digital technology significantly enhances operational efficiency, productivity, and market reach, while also fostering innovation in business models. However, challenges such as resource limitations, a lack of digital literacy, and the digital divide persist as significant obstacles. Furthermore, the study identifies strategic solutions to mitigate these challenges, including digital literacy training, technology subsidies, and improvements to digital infrastructure. The limitations of this research include a constrained data range from 2013 to 2023 and insufficient exploration of practical dimensions and ethical issues pertaining to the adoption of digital technology. Future research is encouraged to investigate these topics in greater depth, particularly within localized contexts and their implications for business sustainability. These findings underscore the critical role of digital technology as a fundamental enabler for developing competitive and sustainable entrepreneurship in Era 4.0.

Abstract

Debt instruments, particularly those related to preferred and common stocks, play an important role in capital markets and corporate finance. One of the crucial elements that influence investment decisions and corporate policies is debt repayment provisions. Preferred stocks, with higher priority in terms of debt repayment, provide a sense of security for investors because they provide greater protection against the risk of loss. In contrast, common stocks, which have lower priority in debt repayment, offer higher potential returns but with greater risks. This article aims to explore the role of debt repayment provisions in common stocks through an in-depth literature review. The methodology used is a thematic and comparative analysis approach to the existing literature, focusing on the differences in debt repayment rights and their impact on investment decisions and corporate policies. The results show that debt repayment provisions have a significant impact on investment stability, where preferred stocks are more beneficial for conservative investors who prioritize security, while common stocks are more suitable for investors seeking potential returns for conservative investors who prioritize security, while common stocks are more suitable for investors seeking potential high returns despite greater risks. This conclusion provides an important contribution to understanding the dynamics of the capital market and helps investors and companies in designing better financial strategies. Further research is needed to explore the direct effect of debt repayment provisions on capital market performance and stock value in companies.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of work-life balance in reducing work stress and improving hotel employee productivity in Semarang Regency. Using a quantitative approach and explanatory research design, the study involved 271 hotel employees selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using questionnaires and analyzed using path analysis with AMOS 26. The results showed that work-life balance had a significant negative effect on work stress (β = -0.542, p < 0.01) and a significant positive effect on work productivity (β = 0.384, p < 0.01). Work stress was proven to partially mediate the relationship between work-life balance and work productivity, with a mediation proportion of 39.6% confirmed through the Sobel test (z = 4.876, p < 0.01). These findings imply the importance of developing policies and programs that support hotel employees' work-life balance to increase productivity through reduced work stress levels.

Abstract

The maritime industry, traditionally reliant on intuition and experience-based decision-making, is undergoing a transformation with the increasing adoption of digital marketing strategies. However, the epistemological foundations of this transition remain underexplored, particularly in the context of leadership and strategic decision-making. This research examines how maritime leaders, lecturers, and postgraduate students perceive and integrate data-driven marketing strategies into maritime business management. The study provides original value by addressing the gap in maritime leadership research regarding digital marketing epistemology. Unlike previous studies that primarily focus on technical adoption, this research critically analyzes the philosophical and cognitive frameworks influencing digital marketing decision-making. The primary objective is to explore the extent to which digital marketing decisions in maritime leadership are guided by empirical data rather than intuition. Using qualitative research and descriptive analysis, semi-structured interviews were conducted with maritime experts, lecturers, and postgraduate students. Data were analyzed thematically, categorizing responses into competency development, sustainability, and digital transformation barriers. Findings reveal that while data-driven strategies are acknowledged as valuable, traditional leadership models still dominate. Digital marketing adoption is constrained by limited expertise, regulatory challenges, and skepticism toward analytics. The study concludes that bridging this gap requires integrating epistemological inquiry into maritime education and fostering collaboration between industry and academia. Strengthening digital literacy among maritime leaders is essential for ensuring the sustainable and strategic use of digital marketing in the sector.
