Abstract

This research is an attempt to analyze and measure the impact of structural shocks to the US dollar exchange rate on the performance indicators of the Iraqi economy during the limited period (2004 to 2022) using the Kaldor square framework, which is based on four main components (economic growth, inflation, unemployment, and trade balance). Analytical and quantitative methods were rummage-sale to reveal the countryside of the relationship between these variables, through analyzing annual data and key economic indicators, using standard economic models and applying the (SVAR) technique. The study concluded that structural shocks to the exchange rate had varying effects on the components of the Kaldor square. The results showed a strong relationship between the exchange rate, economic growth, and the trade balance, while its impact on unemployment and inflation varied depending on the time period and political and economic developments. The study recommends adopting flexible monetary and fiscal policies that contribute to reducing exchange rate volatility and enhancing macroeconomic stability, which positively impacts sustainable structural growth.Inflation

Abstract

This paper explores the potential of integrating Sharia-compliant financial technology (fintech) innovations with sukuk issuance to drive sustainable infrastructure development in emerging economies. With the rise of digital transformation and the increasing focus on sustainable development, the Islamic financial system provides a unique opportunity to reconcile financial innovation with ethical principles. The study highlights how Sharia fintech platforms, such as crowdfunding and blockchain, can enhance the efficiency, transparency, and accessibility of sukuk as a financial instrument. At the same time, sukuk addresses the significant financing gap in infrastructure development while adhering to Islamic principles, such as avoiding riba (interest), gharar (uncertainty), and maysir (speculation). Through a comprehensive literature review and empirical analysis, this research identifies the gaps in existing approaches to financing sustainable infrastructure in emerging economies and proposes a novel integration framework. Findings suggest that the convergence of Sharia fintech and sukuk can facilitate financial inclusion, attract a broader investor base, and accelerate infrastructure financing. Furthermore, this integration supports the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by ensuring that financial tools align with social justice and environmental stewardship. This study contributes to the growing body of knowledge on Islamic finance by providing actionable insights for policymakers, financial institutions, and fintech developers. It emphasizes the importance of regulatory frameworks and cross-sector collaboration to unlock the full potential of Sharia-complian

Abstract

Consumer purchasing decisions for thrifting products are influenced by factors such as price, quality, trends, and availability. Consumers tend to choose thrifting because the prices are more affordable and the products offer uniqueness that is not mass-produced. As the popularity of thrifting increases, competition is also becoming more intense. Business actors are racing to develop marketing strategies through social media and marketplaces. Product differentiation, competitive pricing, and attractive services have become key elements in attracting consumer interest. The population in this study includes all consumers who purchase thrifting products at Pasar Melati, Medan City, with an unknown or biased total population size. Therefore, the sampling technique used is the Lemeshow formula, which allows for sample size calculation when the total population is not known with certainty. The sampling method applied is accidental sampling, where respondents are randomly selected based on their availability and willingness to participate in the study, totaling 96 respondents. The results of the study indicate that price has a significant influence on consumer purchasing decisions for thrifting products at Pasar Melati, Medan City. Product quality also affects consumer purchasing decisions for thrifting items at the same location. Brand image contributes to consumers’ considerations in determining purchasing decisions for thrifting products at Pasar Melati. Simultaneously, price, product quality, and brand have a significant effect on consumer purchasing decisions for thrifting products at Pasar Melati, Medan City.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of Organizational Citizenship Behavior (OCB) and Adversity Quotient on employee performance at CV. Mitra Pratiwi. OCB refers to employee voluntary behavior that goes beyond their formal duties, while Adversity Quotient describes an individual's ability to face challenges and work pressures. The research method used is quantitative with data collection techniques through questionnaires. The sample of this study consisted of 50 employees selected using purposive sampling techniques. The results of the study indicate that OCB and Adversity Quotient have a positive and significant influence on employee performance, both simultaneously and partially. This finding confirms that employees with high levels of OCB and good resilience in facing difficulties are more likely to have superior work performance. Therefore, companies need to improve a work culture that encourages positive voluntary behavior and builds employee mental resilience in facing work challenges.

Abstract

This study investigates the influence of patient involvement and effective communication on the image of the Emergency Department (ED) at Dr. Dradjat Prawiranegara Regional Hospital in Serang, with service quality acting as a moderating variable. Utilizing a quantitative research method, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 315 patients who received emergency care services between October 1 and November 1, 2024. The data were analyzed using multiple regression analysis and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). The findings show that patient involvement has a significant and positive impact on the image of the ED, while effective communication alone does not show a statistically significant effect. However, service quality positively moderates the relationship between effective communication and the ED’s image, enhancing its influence. In contrast, service quality does not moderate the relationship between patient involvement and ED image. These results highlight the importance of engaging patients in medical decisions and ensuring effective communication strategies supported by high service quality to enhance the institutional image of emergency healthcare services. The study suggests that hospital management should develop integrated service improvement policies focusing on staff communication training, patient-centered care practices, and continuous quality improvement. It also recommends further qualitative studies to explore deeper insights into patient experiences and to examine other hospital departments to broaden the understanding of healthcare service quality's role in shaping hospital image.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of entrepreneurial orientation, business environment, and management skills on the success of Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) at the Mulia Harjosari 1 Medan Amplas Women's Cooperative. The research method used is a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The population in this study was 241 people, with a sample of 70 respondents determined using the Slovin formula. Data were collected through questionnaires and analyzed using the SPSS version 26 program. The results of the study showed that partially and simultaneously, the three independent variables, namely entrepreneurial orientation, business environment, and management skills, had a positive and significant effect on the success of MSMEs. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 41.7% indicates that the model used is able to explain the variation in MSME success by 41.7%, while the rest is influenced by other variables outside the model. This finding emphasizes the importance of strengthening entrepreneurial capacity, effective managerial management, and creating a business environment that supports the growth and success of MSMEs, especially in women's cooperatives.
