Focus and Scope Al-Hikmah: Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah dan Pengembangan Masyarakat (e-ISSN: 2685-4376; p-ISSN: 1907-4328) is a journal that publishes research on dakwah science and community development. This journal not only functions as a way to import community development approaches into the realm of Islamic studies but also exports Islamic studies for dakwah in Indonesia. This journal is quite open to the use of various paradigms and methodologies in Islamic and humanitarian studies: theoretical, empirical, qualitative, quantitative, and comparative-historical. Furthermore, the existence of this journal is expected to be able to encourage scholars who focus on Islamic and social-humanities studies to develop and disseminate ideas, thoughts, and study results in more depth related to the landscape of these two scientific disciplines. Al-Hikmah: Jurnal Ilmu Dakwah dan Pengembangan Masyarakat is published by the Faculty of Dakwah of State Islamic University of Kiai Haji Achmad Siddiq Jember. This journal is published twice a year, in April and October. The journal prioritizes writing about scientific issues as well as social, religious, and humanitarian phenomena faced by Indonesian society which are studied through monodisciplinary, multidisciplinary, and interdisciplinary approaches. Published articles can use Indonesian, Arabic, and English. To maintain the quality of published writing, the editorial board strictly selects articles using a plagiarism check process and involving reviewers who have expertise in this field.

Abstract

Segmenting or often known as market segmentation is the act of classifying the market into groups with various categories. Sixty per cents (60%) of business failures are caused by failing to define the target market, their market potential, and failing to decide the right marketing concepts. Entrepreneurs tend to do more expansion in areas that they don't understand just because they are opportunists, making the most of people's fears and hesitancies. Marketing communication can be so powerful if it is combined with effective and efficient communication. For example, a communication on how to attract consumers or audiences to become aware, familiarized and interested in buying a product or service through communication channels. The current study is literatures study which analyses and thoroughly studies literatures to find data. In Islamic ethics, segmentation techniques in marketing communications are not justified using sexual appeal, emotional appeal, fear appeal, false testimony or pseudo-marketing research, or contribute to stupidity of mind and encourage overbuy. In the Islamic framework, these methods are unethical because they are used purely to exploit the basic instincts of consumers around the world with the aim of gaining profit and bigger market preys. In addition, Islamic ethics strictly prohibits stereotypes of women in advertising, and excessive use of "fantasy" either in product forms, services or other added value. Apart from innovation, Islamic marketing communication is also obliged to pay attention to efficiency. In order for marketing communications to be effective, we don't act on a whim. We can carry out marketing efficiency with high foresight to target markets that match the products and services we have.

Abstract

Indonesia and the world are being hit by the global Covid-19 pandemic which has paralyzed all human activities for several months. The incident then seizes public's attention and becomes the centre of public discussion. Various state policies around the world have been carried out to prevent the spread of Covid-19, including social distancing, Large-Scale Social Restrictions, and the implementation of the ‘new normal’ in various sectors. In this case, the current article specifically focuses on the issue of the mudik (exodus) restriction which has caught the attention of Indonesian public. Such travel restriction has caused a polemic between the government and migrants or migrant workers. These problems became complex when the mudik restrictions were started earlier on May 6, 2021. Despite the restrictions, the euphoria of the public in welcoming the Idul Fitri could no longer be contained although the complexity of the country in implementing this policy was still a problem, whether mudik was allowed or prohibited. Such perception was a polemic in our society. Therefore, the purpose of this journal article is to shed some of the answers to the many question posed in public perception. It is also used to provide more space and access to the public in understanding the ambiguity of the rules.

Abstract

Fatwa mempunyai peran penting dalam menciptakan stabilitas sosial. Perubahan sosial sebagai hasil dinamika budaya sering menimbulkan gesekan di masyarakat, Islam sebagai agama universal dengan panduan spesifik berdasarkan Alquran dan Hadis memerlukan peran ulama untuk menerjemahkan transformasi sosio-kultural dalam bentuk fatwa. Maka dapat dikatakan dua ulama Yusuf Qardawi dan Al-Utsaimin adalah da’i sebagai komunikator dakwah dan fatwa sebagai pesan komunikasi dakwah sedang umat Islam sebagai penerima. Dalam penelitian ini akan membahas secara mendalam tentang implikasi fatwa terhadap bagaimana hukum mengucapkan natal kepada non muslim dalam perspektif komunikasi dakwah. Metode dalam penelitian ini menggunakan riset kepustakaan (Library Research). Para ulama dan masyaikh dalam fatwa diatas mengemukakan tujuan dari ijtihad dalam mengulas fatwa dan hukum Islam sesuai dengan tujuan komunikasi transendental yaitu Komunikasi yang melibatkan manusia dengan Tuhannya itulah yang sering disebut komunikasi transendental. Manusia merupakan makhluk sosial yang tidak dapat berdiri sendiri, ia membutuhkan orang lain untuk mempertahankan eksistensinya.

Abstract

The water quality of the rivers in Gresik, specifically in Bengawan Solo river in Bungah-Ujung Pangkah area and the downstream of Brantas River in the Wringinanom-Driyorejo Region, is polluted as perceived from the total dissolved solids that reaches 5000 ppm. Meanwhile, the river water contaminated with microplastics in Bengawan Solo reaches 55.2/100 L and the downstream of Brantas River reaches 18.5/100 L3. The garbage does not only accumulate in rivers, but also on land. In Sekapuk Village, Ujung Pangkah Subdistrict, Gresik, there is a former limestone mine. Since the mining was completed, it ended up being a landfill from 2003 through 2017. The current study employs a qualitative research method. The data were collected from interviews, observation, and documentation. The objectives of this study are: 1) To determine the components of tourism and participatory planning in Setigi tourist attraction, 2) To determine the community development and empowerment in Setigi tourist attraction, and 3) to determine the supporting and inhibiting factors in managing Setigi tourist attraction. The results of this study are as follows: 1) Setigi tourist attraction's components include parking areas, toilets, prayer rooms, gazebos, photo spots, culinary areas, ATV cars, and others. The planning of this tourist attraction came from an idea of the village head to make the village into a tourist attraction. As a result, a regular meeting is held on the 1st of every month which is attended by members of BUMDES, PEMDES, other village institutions such as local community units (RT & RW) and other community members, 2) The community development is carried out by providing opportunities to establish stalls for women in family welfare program (PKK) groups and each local community unit (RT /RW) in Sekapuk Village, 3) The supporting factors are the ability and the willingness to establish Setigi tourist attraction. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factor is the limited funds in the tourist attraction development, but a joint saving program was planned by the village head.

Abstract

Indonesia needs to have social capital so that groups living in a society consisting of approximately 500 ethnic groups can unite. Every ethnicity has the potential to maintain its culture and territory. Moreover, Indonesia is a country where most of the population lives in rural areas and only a small part lives in urban areas. With the lack of economic development and education in the rural villages, the information flowing in the villages is not as fast and significant as in the cities. Even the da'i (preachers) have to fight harder to gain trust, so that they can provide precise and accurate religious information to the village community. This study discusses deeper on how Social Capital communication as a cultural da'wah can touch the community, especially in rural areas, to absorb religious information properly and correctly. This case study employs literature review method in collecting the data. The descriptive approach employed in this study also helps investigate the status of the existing factors and then looks at the relationship between one factor and another. Human resources or human capital is a very important and strategic capital in the life of a community organization. This is especially in terms of how a preacher as a communicator can convey his da'wah message to the village community, with a cultural and belief approach. Such way of communication is what makes the village communities easier to accept the da'wah activities since they are based on trust, mutual understanding and shared values. In addition, the communicators also convey all information about religion according to the existing culture and beliefs.

Abstract

Entertainment content generated by social media, one of which is YouTube, is now able to compete with conventional audio-visual media events. The amount of new media entertainment content is also increasingly diverse as there are more content creators and market competition is getting bigger. One of the content creators that has the largest viewers and subscribers in Indonesia is Baim Wong's Baim Paula YouTube account which has been watched two billion viewer. Baim Paula's account takes advantage of the content commodification process to produce products that are liked by netizens. This study focuses on analyzing the commodification of content on the theme of "sharing money" on Baim Paula's Youtube account with Vincent Mosco's theory of commodification. Mosco explained that commodification consists of commodification of content, audition and workers. Based on the analysis, it was concluded that Baim Paula's account was able to take advantage of the commodification process to generate billions of viewers and get advertisements. The commodification used is the commodification of content and the commodification of workers. These two codifications have succeeded in making Baim Paula's YouTube money sharing show a high rating and benefits

Abstract

Described in the last fifty years more than US $ 1 trillion in development and aid has been transferred from rich countries to Africa. But does having more than US$1 trillion in development aid make Africans better off? No. In fact, all over the world the recipients of this aid are even worse off. Aid has helped make the poor poorer, and growth slower. how the aid funds, which had been expected to be a solution to poverty alleviation, actually made people fall asleep. Do not have more motivation for better economic growth and development. It is mentioned by the author how Islam always pays attention to every Shari'a that is required by Allah has an important parallel in human life. As said by Ibn Qayyim and Ibn azm, great figures in the field of law, revealing our responsibility as Muslims towards the poor. In this research using methodology. In field research, library research is primarily intended as a first step to prepare a research plan and/or proposition in order to obtain similar research information, deepen theoretical studies or sharpen methodologies. This study explains how aid funds that have been expected to be a solution to poverty alleviation have actually made people fall asleep. Do not have more motivation for better economic growth and development. It is mentioned in this study how Islam always pays attention to every Shari'a that is required by Allah has an important parallel in human life. BAZNAS receives zakat on shares, not only zakat in the form of cash that can be paid, zakat on shares can also be paid through BAZNAS.

Abstract

The information revolution means that there is a change in the world of information that is so sophisticated that even people living in remote tribes can get information about them. The process of globalization as a result of advanced communication technology is a major event or change that almost does not allow all countries to refuse it. This research is a literacy study. Research is a process of finding solutions to problems through scientific procedures. The purpose of the study was to find out that the global syndrome in the field of da'wah information technology is a revolution in the mass media institutions of society in the millennial era. And it can be said that World syndrome in the world of information technology has a good impact on the development of da'wah. It's not just the big changes as a result of major changes in the field of information and communication technology, which is growing increasingly sophisticated. This progress is not only vertical, but also has a horizontal dimension. Now there are no more corners of the world that are not reached by sophisticated communications (worldwide syndrome). Because the portrait of da'wah is divided into two types, namely da'wah bil-lisan and da'wah bil-hal. So far, there has been a kind of paradigm confusion in our concept of da'wah, both verbally and bil-halally. The da'wah process so far tends to lead to the concept of bank-style communication, where society is likened to an empty container that must be filled with beliefs and moral values ​​and life practices so that they are stored and issued when needed. This era was marked by new discoveries and advances in various fields. Various forms of social change that accompany the era of globalization in turn affect the human perspective on life.

Abstract

The house is one of the most important needs in human life, as well as food and clothing. The house is one of the most important needs in human life, especially in the household. The house has an important meaning for every family because the house is a basic need where the family gathers. Government action for the welfare of the people. the role of the developer as a provider and housing development that can make this happen. So in this paper, we will discuss more deeply how the Sharia developer communication model in solutions to improve the Islamic economy. In conclusion, we can understand that the definition of a developer is the activity of a person in the property business. Which in the process Developers build, rent and buy property land which is then rebuilt housing and settlements which are then resold to the community. The functions and objectives of the developer include: conducting financing and negotiating to realize a development, creating the right residential concept, Development of housing/settlement by the developer so that a life order can be formed which contains physical elements in the sense that settlements are a forum for activities where communities meet to interact. Social interaction with the community, can be said as the embodiment of identity, housing / residential housing by the developer can also be a place of intimacy, a sense of belonging, a sense of togetherness, warmth, love and security, housing by a residential developer can be used as a root and continuity of life that where home is a place to return to the roots and foster a sense of continuity in the thread, process into the future. The Role of Developers in improving the Islamic economy: 1)Developer as an extension of the Government 2) Ease of Payment System 3) The formation of a new civilization 4) Welfare of society by fulfilling one of the basic needs. 5) Creating great job opportunities to improve the quality of people's lives. Abstract

The concept of educational tourism is tourism that applies non-formal education for tourists through tourism activities and learning with fun methods. And in this study the research subject is a vehicle for tourism that has a significant impact on managers and the community. That is the educational tour of Jubung Jember medicinal plants. At the beginning of this educational tour, there was no dialogue process between the management and the community. There is only a dialogue process between the management and superiors or parties from the campus (University of Jember), the purpose of the meeting is to discuss anything related to medicinal plant education vehicles, and also discuss plants or plants that are lacking in the vehicle, also discuss about how this vehicle became one of the most favored by all circles. This research uses qualitative research. Nelson, Treicher, and Grossberg say that qualitative research is an independent field of inquiry. Meanwhile, the strategy of the management of the Jubung Jember medicinal park tourism is as follows: 1. Strategy with the Participatory Planning Concept is the planning and decision-making process in development programs which are often carried out from top to bottom (top Don planning). 2. The second strategy is a strategy by directly involving the community in the procurement of educational tourism at the drug park. 3. The third strategy is to fulfill the concept of community empowerment. an increase every year before this pandemic period in 2017 got more around Rp. 10,000,000 in 2018 earned Rp. 15,000,000 in 2019 decreased greatly due to the covid-19 pandemic that attacked our activities, so that all activities did not run according to instructions, which only received as much as Rp. 2,000,000. So it can be seen at the time the Medicine Park was established, it can be concluded from the report above that there was an increase in income in 3 years. Not only that, this has an impact on the economic life of the surrounding community who sell near Jubung Jember Drug Tourism.
