Abstract

The rise of cases of immoral acts in the pesantren environment is a case that is commonly heard among the people of Indonesia. Pesantren, which should be a place of learning with the deepening of religion-based character education, is the opposite of being one of the places where immoral acts occur. This immoral act can be done by educators, workers and other students. Therefore, it is important to know the perspective of the community and the guardians of the students on the rise of this case, this needs to be considered because it affects the views, judgments and considerations for entering children into this religion-based educational institution. This research approach uses descriptive methods to obtain data by using questionnaires and also secondary data relating to the perspective of the general public and guardians of students. The results of this study are that the average respondent feels worried and sad about this incident, the average solution that is expected to prevent this case from happening is to provide sex education or religious education, carry out tighter supervision and improve communication with the pesantren as well as the students.

Abstract

The existence of Islam emerged amidst the multicultural population of the Arab nation. Similar to the diversity that the Arab nation possesses, Indonesia is classified as a multicultural society, which means that it has cultural, ethnic, linguistic, and religious diversity. Each island has different cultures, ethnicities, languages, and even religions, making it a non-material wealth owned by the Indonesian nation. On the other hand, diversity can also become a potential conflict, thus requiring preventive efforts to avoid conflicts that can occur at any time, such as what happened in Lembang Village, Sanggau Ledo District. Researchers noted that there were at least two ethnic conflicts that occurred in late 1996 and 1999, which resulted in many casualties. Regardless of the conflicts that have occurred, currently, the community in Lembang Village is living with social, cultural, and religious stability, and it has been 24 years since any conflict was recorded. Through qualitative research, the researchers sought to explore how the internalization of multicultural-based religious guidance can build religious moderation in Lembang Village. As a result, the researchers found two patterns of da'wah that were applied. Firstly, emphasizing normative-contextual communication between three major Islamic organizations, namely Nahdlatul Ulama, Muhammadiyah, and Jama'ah Tabligh. Secondly, providing religious guidance that contains the material of aqidah, akhlaq, worship, and muamalah through the Majelis Taklim and TPQ institutions so that the people of Lembang Village can live harmoniously and move further away from the terminology of "conflict"

Abstract

Along with the development of the Western world's influence on fashion, fun, and food, many residents of Kerpangan Village consider the benchmark of perfection based on Western trends. This has led to neglecting their religious obligations, such as reduced time for remembrance (zikir), decreased time for voluntary prayers (salat sunnah), and so on. Not only that, but the attitude of the residents has also deteriorated. Eventually, Habib Ahmad Zakiq Al-Hasni came up with a brilliant idea to establish the Majelis Zikir and Sholawat Khoirun Dakwah as a means to bring the residents closer to the Creator through guided recitation led by Habib Zaky himself. The main objective of this research is to identify the various activities organized by the Majelis Zikir and Sholawat Khoirun Dakwah and to understand the strategies used to enhance the spirit of spirituality among the residents of Kerpangan Village. The researcher employed interview, observation, and documentation methods. Interviews were conducted with the founder of Majelis Khoirun Dakwah, Habib Zaky, several loyal followers of the Majelis Zikir, and also with a local community leader. The results of this research show that all activities of the Majelis Zikir and Sholawat Khoirun Dakwah have a positive impact and are warmly welcomed by the residents. The strategies used by the Majelis Zikir and Sholawat Khoirun Dakwah include direct da'wah by attending Majelis Zikir and Sholawat Khoirun Dakwah events, as well as indirect da'wah through social media platforms such as YouTube.

Abstract

In 2021, at the Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI), the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy named Ranupani Village, Lumajang Regency, as the best village in the homestay category. Ranupani Village fulfills the requirements to be categorized as a smart village. The term smart village is actually part of the universal service obligation (USO) program which functions as a means to carry out digital transformation in three domains, namely economy, society and government. This study intends to see how the community empowerment process is, what are the results and what challenges are faced in the community empowerment process towards a smart village. This study used a descriptive qualitative approach using interview, observation, and documentation data collection techniques. The results of the study show that the development of smart villages goes through three stages of the process. Starting from the first stage, namely preparation, then planning, and ending with socialization. These three stages of the process then produce smart governance and smart economy which at a practical level take the form of Simple Village and IKas (Digital Cashier for UMKM). Because a smart village requires massive digital transformation, the life of the people of Ranupani Village, who are not yet fully familiar with information technology, is transformed into a social challenge in realizing a smart village. Abstract

Islam, which initially emerged in Mecca and migrated to Medina, has undergone a significant development until the passing of Prophet Muhammad. During the time of the companions, Islam's development was not only in the Arabian Peninsula but had spread to various corners of the country. This study focuses on the leadership of kyai (Islamic scholars), models, materials, methods, and the role of multicultural da'wah, with the aim of describing the leadership of kyai, models, materials, methods, and the role of multicultural da'wah. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. The results of this study show that the kyai plays a central role in multicultural da'wah in the majlis zikir manaqib. The model of multicultural da'wah in the majlis zikir manaqib at the Al-Qodiri Islamic boarding school is in the form of halaqah (study circle), intensive studies, general lectures, istighasah (supplication), and taklim (religious lesson). Meanwhile, the material covers issues of welfare, humanity, amar ma'ruf nahi munkar (enjoining what is good and forbidding what is evil), social justice, democracy, human rights, education and liberation, as well as multicultural themes sourced from the Qur'an and Hadith and current issues that emphasize aspects of inner awareness and self-creativity. The method used is a synergistic collaboration between oral, written, and, most importantly, practical aspects that are dynamic, communicative, and familiar. Meanwhile, the role of multicultural da'wah is to contribute to the process of empowering the congregation from the problems of ignorance, underdevelopment, and various issues of distress experienced by them.

Abstract

The Method of Prophetic Preaching according to Abdullah bin Bayyah discusses the highly effective and relevant preaching methods of Prophet Muhammad SAW that are still applicable today. The readers can learn about the principles of effective preaching and how to apply them in daily life. The absence of a clear strategy in implementing preaching activities is also noted. Many preachers lack a clear strategy in carrying out preaching activities, resulting in ineffective preaching that fails to motivate people to increase their religious awareness and social responsibility. This study uses a literature review method, where the researcher collects and reads information from various available sources, then analyzes and evaluates the data obtained. It can be concluded that Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayyah emphasizes the importance of bringing Muslims and non-Muslims closer together, promoting dialogue and tolerance, and avoiding extremism and violence. In addition, scholars have an important role in spreading religious teachings and motivating the people to do good deeds, as well as helping to improve the social and political conditions of a country. The effectiveness of scholars' preaching can be seen from various factors such as their ability to understand and introduce religious teachings well to the community, their success in inspiring and motivating people to worship and improve themselves, as well as the positive influence produced by their preaching on the social and moral life of the community.

Abstract

In Article 29, Paragraph 2 of the 1945 Constitution, it is stated that the State guarantees the freedom of every citizen to embrace their own religion and worship according to their religion and beliefs. However, in recent years, religious discrimination has persisted. In 2022, a man vandalized the Dipa Giri Sakti Temple in Kediri, while in 2019, a controversy arose regarding the construction of a temple in Bekasi. In the same year, the Padmosari statue, a Hindu religious symbol in Argosari Village, was damaged, allegedly by irresponsible individuals.  Research Objectives: 1) To analyze the values of tolerance in the Prophet's hadith, and 2) To analyze the application of tolerance from the Prophet's hadith in Banyuwangi.  This study uses a qualitative research method, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and documentation.  Findings: 1) Tolerance in the teachings of Prophet Muhammad SAW emphasizes mutual respect and appreciation for differences, both among Muslims and with followers of other religions. The hadiths stress the importance of moderation, dialogue, and compassion in resolving differences. Ahmad Syarif Yahya in Ngaji Toleransi and Fikih Toleransi also asserts that Islam encourages tolerance without diminishing individual beliefs. The Prophet, through sirah nabawiyyah, shows that religious moderation and tolerance are key to harmonious social interactions. 2) In Bangorejo and Sambimulyo Districts, Muslims and non-Muslims cooperate to ensure the smooth running of religious celebrations, such as Eid al-Fitr and Galungan. The hadith "Do good to others, and Allah will do good to you" (HR. Abu Dawud) supports empathy and respect for differences.
